In Old Testament times, when God got ready to destroy His beloved nation of Judah because of their refusal to repent of their sins, He raised up a chorus of prophetic voices to give the nation one last warning.

God is very patient. He will often tolerate sin a long time. But a day of reckoning will come if there is no repentance. The prophet Nahum put it this way: “The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, and the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished” (Nahum1:3).

In my book, America the Beautiful? The United States in Bible Prophecy (1st edition in 2003, 2nd in 2006, and 3rd in 2009), I outline in detail the way in which God deals with nations. I point out that when a nation begins to rebel against God, He will raise up prophetic voices and send remedial judgments to call the nation to repentance. Because He is a compassionate God (Psalm 103:8), He never pours out His wrath without warning.

The first voice he raised up to warn our nation and call us to repentance was David Wilkerson (1931-2011). I have always referred to him as America’s Jeremiah. Two books of his in particular were visionary warnings to this nation, with passionate calls for our repentance: The Vision (1974) and America’s Last call: On the Brink of a Financial Holocaust (1998). Unfortunately, our nation and our churches turned a deaf ear to both books.

Since the turn of this century, just as in the days of Judah’s spiritual and moral decline, the Lord has raised up a chorus of voices to get the attention of our nation, all of whom are warning that our days are numbered if we do not repent. Here is a partial list:

  • Terry James, The American Apocalypse (2009)
  • David Jeremiah, I Never Thought I’d See the Day! (2011)
  • Jonathan Cahn, The Harbinger (2011)
  • Robert Jeffress, Twilight’s Last Gleaming (2012)
  • Joel C. Rosenberg, Implosion (2012)

On July 24th of this year, Billy Graham added his voice. In an open prayer letter addressed to the nation, Graham asserted, “My heart aches for America and its deceived people.” He proceeded to proclaim that the only hope for America is for the nation to repent of its sins.

Meanwhile, the remedial judgments on our nation continue as we are in the midst of the greatest drought in modern history, with over 61% of our country in drought conditions. God’s patience with us is drawing to a close. Will we wake up before it is too late?

  • Article: "God is very patient. He will often tolerate sin a long time. But a day of reckoning will come if there is no repentance."

True, but I also believe before this destruction will come after the Rapture. God saved Noah et al before the flood. God saved Lot et al from Soddom and Gomorrah.

Probably the best two known situations of people being saved from the judgemental wrath of God.

I believe that God will save Christians prior to His wrath being implemented via the Rapture.

If this is not true then how can the Bible say to have hope in the Rapture? Why would the Rapture be a hopeful event if it doesn't protect us from the wrath to come?

  • As the reference Bible verse states:

The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,
And the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished.

Note "the guilty", not those saved by the blood of Christ.

  • We need to pray for a great harvest of souls in these last days… i believe the rapture is going to occur very soon.

Today in prophecy newswatch they report that Tony Blair is speaking out for a president to be appointed over the united nations!!!!! Sounds like a job app!!

Come for your bride Yeshua! AMEN

  • Good chance, Billy. It's always seemed apparent that Pres. Obama has grander aspirations related to the UN. He certainly has the fitting ideology. If not, possibly one of the 10 Kings.

Tony Blair's promoting the Pres. Supremo of the EU, and possibly himself in that role.

  • Well pat robertson said on t.v. that God told him romney will win AND have a second term!!! Hahahaha!!! There u have it folks!! No need to tune in to ur t.v.s on wed.. 😉

  • Susie,

I'm not sure how to take your comment re: Robertson. Seriously or sarcastically?

    Should be sarcastic…

From "Who's Who in Bible Prophecy" on Pat Robertson:

Noted for numerous false predictions, he claims that God gave him a mission, not to be a religious leader but to be an educator who would influence the center of our culture "from God's perspective." Has also claimed that God chose him "to usher in the coming of My Son." In 1982 and again in 1984 he predicted the tribulation period would begin in those years. On his 700 Club program he stated, "Anything coming through man is contaminated to some extent. Therefore, since the Bible came through man, there must be errors in it. So, we must never equate the Bible with the perfect Jesus." Scripturally confused, prophetically baffled, not sound in doctrine.

  • With all due respect, and I do mean that,I have been to listen to Dr. Reagan several times and bought his books, but am really confused by the list he has here.
Can you explain why Billy Graham says that there is more than one way to heaven and also met with Gov. Romney(who I supported)and declared him a Christian. Mormons are not Christian. It is a cult.
Also, The Harbinger is rooted in Kabbalah.
Anyway, just wondered why there is not discernment in this.

  • Billy Graham has never taught there are many roads to God (see this article).

The Harbinger is not rooted in Kabbalah. Rabbi Cahn is a Messianic evangelical Christian with leanings in Pentecostalism. I read the book and discerned nothing unbiblical, though a little reaching on the extend to which he applies Isaiah 9:10 to America.

  • Hey Nathan, not to argue the point but if you go over to Apprising Ministries with Ken Sliva and search Billy Graham there are some articles there that address what I have said.
If I am wrong then I stand corrected.
Also, I realize that the Harbinger is fictional, but there are articles addressing what I have said as well.
Sorry. Like I said, I respect Dr. Reagan and just want to clear up those things.
