Your Future in God’s Plan
I want you to just consider a few of the prophecies that God has been fulfilling in our day and time:
- God has regathered the Jewish people from the four corners of the earth, just as He said He would.
- He has re-established their State, just as He said He would.
- He has revived their language from the dead, just as He said He would.
- He has restored the city of Jerusalem as their capital, just as He said He would.
- He has enabled them to reclaim their land from the wilderness it had become, just as He said He would.
- He has provided them with the resurgence of military strength.
- And, He has refocused all of world politics upon them. He says in the end times the whole world will come against Israel.
Second, what is happening is evidence of the Lord’s soon return. The fulfillment of these prophecies is literally shouting the soon return of Jesus! It’s like God has a neon sign in the sky saying, “Jesus is coming soon! Jesus is coming soon!” We are witnessing the fulfillment of Bible prophecy before our very eyes.David Reagan: #Jesus is coming soon! We can be assured that, if God is faithful to fulfill every promise He’s made to the Jewish people, then He is going to be faithful to fulfill every promise He’s made to you and me — to His Church. There are glorious promises Christ has made to Christians.
Jesus has said that one day very soon, any day now even for there is not one prophecy that has to be fulfilled for this to happen, that one day very soon an angel is going to appear in the heavens. He is going to blow a trumpet and He is going to shout. When that happens, the Lord Jesus Christ is going to appear. He is not going to come back to earth, but He is just going to appear. The graves of the believers are going to be emptied.
Jesus is going to bring with Him, it says in the Thessalonian letters, the spirits of the dead who have been in Heaven with Him. Christ is going to resurrect their bodies in a great miracle of re-creation. God is the One who spoke and the whole world came into being. There is nothing for Him to speak for the bodies to come back together. Whether they be burned up, or whether they be cast into the sea, or whether they be in the ground, or whether they be decayed. Whatever their condition, these bodies are going to come back together in a great miracle of re-creation.
In the twinkling of an eye, Jesus is going to take their spirits and He is going to put them back together with their bodies. He is going to glorify their bodies and give them an eternal body.
Then, those of us who are alive when that happens, and I hope I am, we are going to be translated up following those resurrected to meet Jesus up in the sky. On the way up we are going to be translated from mortal to immortal, again all in a twinkling of an eye. We won’t even experience death! The believing generation that is alive on that day will not die. People say there are only two things you cannot escape, and that is death and taxes. No, it is just taxes and more taxes. There is a whole generation that will escape death. On the way up, when we meet the Lord in the sky, we are going to be given glorified bodies. We are going to be taken to Heaven.
Once in Heaven, God is going to judge us based on our works, not to determine our eternal salvation, but to determine our degree of rewards. Jesus is going to hand out all kinds of degrees of reward.
Until the end of the 7-year Tribulation, Christians are going to live safe in Heaven while that’s going on. Until the end of those years, we are going to sit down with Jesus at the greatest feast the cosmos has ever experienced — the Marriage Feast of the Lamb. We are going to sit with Jesus and we are going to celebrate our spiritual union with Him.
Finally, at the end of that time, Jesus is going to stand up, and when He says, “Go.” Let’s go! Jesus is going to get on a white horse and He is going to break from the heavens, and we are going to come with Him — hundreds of millions of glorified saints. Just imagine the Lord coming back to the Mount of Olives and hundreds of millions of glorified saints are in the sky above Him and many are in the Kidron Valley filling it up!
Jesus is going to replay a day in His life. Once before He came to the Kidron Valley. Once before He rode up to the Mount of Olives. Jesus got on a donkey and He rode it down the Kidron Valley and up to the Eastern Gate. The people yelled, “Hosanna to the Son of God! Hosanna to the Son of David!” But then, a week later, the people were yelling, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!”
But, this time, we are going to be there in our glorified bodies and we are going to be yelling, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Hosanna to the Son of God!” Let me tell you, I can hardly wait. Every time I sing a song that has “Hosanna” in it, I get goosebumps, because I know one day I am going to be there to witness it all happen.
Jesus is going to ride that great white war charger down the Mount of Olives. We read Psalm 24 that when Jesus comes up to the Eastern Gate the gate will say, “Come on in you King of Glory.” The Eastern Gate, which has been bricked up ever since the Turks took it in 1417 I believe it was, had it bricked up ever since then. But, it says in the Bible that the Eastern Gate will be closed and it will not be opened again until the Messiah returns. That gate is going to blow open and say, “Come on in you King of Glory.”
Jesus will then go up on the Temple Mount and there. He is going to be coroneted as the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, and we are going to be there to see it. We are going to be there to sing “Hallelujah!” What a great day that is going to be.
Then Jesus is going to begin His Millennial reign. He is going to put those of us in gloried bodies in charge over this earth and we will reign with Him. Jesus Himself is going to reign in His glorified body from Jerusalem. The earth is going to be flooded with peace, righteousness, and justice as the waters cover the sea.
At the end of that thousand years, Jesus is going to take us off this earth again. He is going to put us in the New Jerusalem city that He has been preparing all these many years. In that New Jerusalem, I think we are going to see the greatest firework display in all of history as God heats up this earth and burns away the pollution of Satan’s last revolt. Out of that fiery inferno is going to come a renewed earth, a perfected earth, and a refreshed earth. Then God is going to lower us down in that New Jerusalem to that New Earth, and we are going to spend eternity living in glorified bodies in the New Jerusalem and on the New Earth in the very presence of Jesus Christ.
Finally, we will all see the face of God. The Bible says no one has seen the face of God. We will see it then, though. What that means is we are going to have eternal, intimate fellowship with our Creator and with the Lord Jesus Christ.
I don’t know about you, but I can hardly wait for that day to come. Come quickly, Lord Jesus. Hallelujah!
We are living on borrowed time now. That is the fundamental message I’m making. Jesus is coming soon. And, when He appear, that Jewish remnant is going to cry out, “Baruch haba B’shem Adonia.”
In the meantime, I am going to get up every morning and I am going to look out at the sky and from the depths of my heart I’m going to cry, “Maranatha. Maranatha. Come quickly, Lord Jesus!”
Now I have a crucial question for you. Are you ready for the Lords’ return? Because, He can come any moment. Not one prophecy has to be fulfilled for the Rapture to occur.
I hope I have helped you to better understand what the turmoil in the Middle East is all about. And, I hope it has helped you to realize that it is all part of God’s end times plan for that area of the world. I hope too, it has convinced you that we are truly living in the end times, and in fact, we are living on borrowed time. Became, what is now going on in the Middle East is a sign that we are living in the season of the Lord’s return.
