Prophetic Perspectives #64: BLM on Redefining Justice

Tim Moore: In our continuing conversation about Black Lives Matter (BLM) as a movement, let’s consider what their concept of freedom and justice really means. Is America the land of the free? A land of justice? A land of laws? Or, do we need to spark a revolution to actually bring about justice?

Nathan Jones: In our last segment, we learned what the Black Lives Matter organization believes concerning systemic racism. We went to their website at blacklivesmatter.com and visited their What We Believe page. We all agreed that Black lives matter, for all lives matter. We’ve also learned so far that they are a political organization initially formed to deal with police brutality. They also believe that racism is almost just as bad now as it had been back in the 1800s and that racism can only be purged systemically, in other words, by overthrowing all existing governmental systems. We disproved that there is systemic racism, at least statistically, in the United States.

Now we’ll look at what the organization Black Lives Matter actually believes when it comes to freedom and justice. This is what their website states: “To love and desire freedom and justice for ourselves is a prerequisite for wanting the same for others… We are guided by the fact that all Black lives matter… We embody and practice justice, liberation, and peace in our engagements with one another.”

So, Tim, when talking about freedom and justice, who wouldn’t want to get behind desiring freedom and justice for all, right? But, does the BLM organization when talking about freedom and justice interpret freedom and justice as the Bible and the Constitution would?

Tim Moore: No, definitely not. As a matter of fact, if you go to Black Lives Matter website and you listen to the comments of some of their leading organizers and the people who originated this movement, they are unashamedly Marxist. The Marxist ideology is built upon the notion that there is class oppression, and that the masses are being oppressed by the bourgeoisie middle and upper classes.

This is the same ideology that led to the horrific French Revolution, where thousands of people were beheaded. Eventually, the revolution ate the revolutionaries because they were not radical enough. The causes founder, Robespierre, himself was beheaded by his own revolutionaries. Another Marxist revolution happened in Russia where the proletariat deemed themselves oppressed and so they turned on the upper class and founded the Soviet Union.

The Marxist ideology foments the idea that the poor are oppressed by the rich, and therefore, they need to overcome oppression by seeking a new form of justice. But, in the process of doing that, they create terror. Terror is exactly what has happened on many of our American streets as of late. A lot of people have gotten sucked up into that mob mentality because, as you say, who can be against justice? I’m for justice. You’re for justice. All of us want justice in this world. The Scriptures talk about man wanting to have justice, and yet, true justice seems so allusive, that is unless we follow God’s moral law. And so, there is a desire in every human heart for justice, but what BLM is looking for is not justice as defined by Scripture.

Nathan Jones: Right! The BLM movement is a Marxist movement, which is a Communist movement. Patrisse Cullers, who is the founder and head of BLM, is a blatant outright Communist. Yusra Khogali, who is the head of the Toronto branch, has been texting that she wants to murder White people. She has been saying that White people are genetic defects. She prays to Allah that she won’t kill Whites. So, there’s an Islamic influence there as well.

People on the streets often claim that Black Lives Matter only stands for justice for Black people. Don Lemon, who is a Black CNN reporter, disagrees. He believes BLM is solely about police brutality. But, then BLM supporters say all black lives matter, but you never hear anything about the inner-city black-on-black murder rate which has skyrocketed since BLM exploded back on the scene in the last few months.

Tim Moore: And, you don’t hear anything about the unborn Black terror that is reigning through Planned Parenthood.

Nathan Jones: Tim, as an expert in crafting legislation as a Kentucky state congressman involving Right For Life, tell us about the Black abortion holocaust.

Tim Moore: In many American cities, Planned Parenthood is purposely targeting the Black and minority communities. Often the inner city is where they place their abortion clinics. Margaret Sanger and the other founders of Planned Parenthood were abortionists who throughout the decades have been targeting their evil deeds toward those whom they deem “less desirable.”

Abortion is totally contrary to the Word of God who says all are created in the image of God. All men, women, and children have an innate right to life. If you disagree, reflect on the Word of God about this.

Obviously, Black Lives Matter’s concept of justice is totally opposed to the Scriptures. Christ revealed that we are all slaves to sin. The Apostle Paul in Romans 6 taught that once saved we have been set free from the slavery of sin. Those of us who have put our trust in Jesus Christ have instead become slaves of righteousness. Having become slaves of God, we produce spiritual fruit, fruit to holiness, and in the end, everlasting life. All people are going to be enslaved to something, whether to sin or to the truth of the Lord Himself. When we say “slaves to God,” we are not talking about being crushed and beat down, in the traditional form. Rather, God is our master, and so we are not to be ruled by anything in this world or any unbiblical ideology.

Nathan Jones: In summary, freedom to the BLM movement means freedom from God and His moral restraint. Justice instead means revenge. BLM takes these words and makes them mean the opposite.

Here is the crux of it. This is what God says through the Apostle Paul in Romans 12:19, “Do not take revenge my dear friends, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written, ‘It is mine to avenge. I will repay,’ says the Lord.” True justice is knowing Jesus Christ. Justice is knowing His compassion. It is then having the ability to forgive others for the wrongs they have committed against you and then looking to create peace and harmony. Let God deal with social injustices, especially all of the ones from all the way back during slavery to whatever racial injustice people have felt today.

Tim Moore: Here’s another thought that is very important as we consider how we should orient our lives. This is a promise and an opportunity that we want everyone to understand. This is what Paul shared in Romans 8:2, “For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.”

Is there justice in this world? We should clamor for it! Obviously, our systems of government are designed to try to provide some level of justice. But, for the individual, the only way to be free from the law of sin and death is to put your faith in Jesus Christ. That’s the bottom line message for our era.

Nathan Jones: As an organization then, we would say that the BLM movement does not represent Christianity, and therefore, Christians should not support BLM.

In the third segment of our look into what the organization Black Lives Matter believes, we’ll explore how BLM dismantles God’s natural order of gender.
