What is the message of Bible prophecy to believers and unbelievers?

If you were asked to describe the fundamental message of end time Bible prophecy, what would you say? What is the message to the believer? What is its message to the unbeliever? A panel of 15 Bible prophecy experts answers those very questions! To find out, read or watch below.

I love that question, because the big question of our time is, “Are you ready? Because Jesus could come at any time.”

The great news about Bible prophecy is there is nothing that has to be fulfilled before Jesus returns. He could come delayed or a little sooner then we expect, but He is going to come. The issue of mankind is, “Are you ready?” Are you ready to meet Jesus Christ? Because, after He comes, it will be the Tribulation for you!

Al Gist, Maranatha Evangelistic Ministries

The message of Bible prophecy to us as believers is that we are certainly living at the end of the Church Age, and whatever we are going to do for the Kingdom of God, we need to get on with it. It is one thing to have long range planning, but many times people use that excuse for not doing anything today. We need to be busy today winning as many people as we can to the Lord.

The message of Bible prophecy to the unbeliever is telling us first of all that the Bible is real. It’s God’s Holy Word. Everything it says is absolutely true. The Bible says you need to get your life right with God, because soon and at any moment actually, the Rapture could take place and you could be left behind to face the worst period in all of human history. A time called the Tribulation is coming. That’s when life is going to be literally hell on earth.

Whether you are left behind to go through the Tribulation or when you suddenly pass through the veil of death to the other side, one thing is for sure — tomorrow is not certain. We have no guarantee of tomorrow. The Bible says your life is but a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. So, get your life right with Christ today, right now. That’s what the message of Bible prophecy says to the unbeliever.

Don McGee, Crown and Sickle Ministries

The great thing about being a Bible prophecy teacher is that you’re not just out there talking to the amen crowd. You are talking to people who are believers and who recognize that there is this thing about the coming of the Lord and it is something that is going to happen. As a Bible prophecy teacher, part of my responsibility is to cause believers to understand the lateness of the hour. Knowing that should enhance our efforts at evangelism and doing those thing that will bring people to understand that they need Jesus as their Savior. Look for Jesus to return for the Church.

The message of Bible prophecy to unbelievers is it should be a wakeup call. If people’s hearts are so softened to the degree that they will listen to what the Bible says prophetically, then they have an opportunity to respond.

Unbelievers need to understand that God is something real. We are not here as some kind of result of Evolution. We possess immortally eternal souls that will spend eternity somewhere after we die. If unbelievers can spend some time and really, seriously, even academically consider Bible prophecy and what God has said is going to happen, it is going to cause a change in their hearts. It should prompt them to understand that the time to make a decision for Jesus Christ is short.

Michael Norten, Author of “Unlocking the Secrets of the Feasts”

Bible prophecy would tell all us believers that the time for Christ’s coming is very, very soon. Jesus is not only at the door, He’s turning the dad-gum knob! And so, we’d better be witnessing like crazy like we’ve never done before.

The message of Bible prophecy to non-believers should be your need to respond to the message of the Gospel. If they accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, they can experience that salvation and that fellowship and that adventure that we all get to enjoy forever.

Gary Fisher, Lion of Judah Ministries

The message of Bible prophecy I would say would have to include the verse Luke 21:28, “When you see these things beginning to take place, straighten up, lift up your head redemption is drawing near.” Prophecy indicates there is a time in the world when Jesus will intervene. He’s sitting at the right hand of God the Father, but the day is nearing when He will come back to this earth. He is coming back! That is a promise in Christianity. That is a message to both apathetic Christians and to Mr. Lostman that we are running out of time.

The time to consider where we are going to spend eternity is right now. It’s a good time considering all the end times signs that are going on in the world. Becoming saved is the most major accomplishment that any individual will ever accomplish in his life — where he is going to spend eternity. And who does he approach to address that question? The answer is the Messiah of Israel, Yeshua Hamashia, Jesus the Messiah. The goal in life is to make peace with Him. Today is the day to ask Jesus to be your Savior. Based on all the end time events that we see that is going on, today is a good day.

Andy Woods, Sugar Land Bible Church

The message of Bible prophecy to the believer is that we live within the moment that any second Christ could come back. Knowing that completely changes our priorities and the way we live.

When I was a younger teenager living at my parents’ house, they used to put me in charge of their home. They would say, “Okay, we are leaving Friday and coming back Sunday.” What do you think I let happen to the house Saturday and so on? You know there was a tendency to not be a good steward of their home, but not to give you all the details. Anyway, one day they said this instead, “We are leaving Friday and we can come back anytime between Friday evening and Sunday.” Well, I kept their home in a tidy state constantly because I knew their return was imminent.

If we are really looking towards the any-moment return of Jesus Christ, it changes our thought patterns and the conversations we have. We become more aggressive with our evangelistic opportunities. So, this is a huge message for the believer.

The message of Bible prophecy to the unbeliever today is the needed proof that there is a God. Prophecy I believe is the greatest proof to the unbeliever, because there are a lot of alleged holy books out there, but the Bible is the only one that actually reveals things before they happen. The fulfillment of Bible prophecy shows that there’s an omniscient God behind it all. Bible prophecy is a great message to prove Christianity to the unbeliever.

The unbeliever also needs to look very carefully at Revelation 20:11-15 concerning the Great White Throne Judgment. If God reveals the future, and we believe He does, that judgment is the future of the unbeliever if they don’t trust in Christ alone before they die.

In the third and last segment concerning what the message of Bible prophecy says to both believers and unbelievers, the final members of our panel of Bible prophecy experts will share what the Bible has to say.

  • I smiled at this: "Jesus is not only at the door, He's turning the dad-gum knob!"
I think those of us who have been hearing about His return all our lives are looking up! Things are coming together so quickly in these final days.

  • Every night I pray to Jesus asking Him to return to us as soon as possible.

As I watch the news…the President (THE PRESIDENT!!!) giving away the store to Iran while spitting in the face of Israel…the gays on a rampage over religious freedom laws…ISIS taking over the Middle East and commiting horrendous atrocities…(I realize I could go on a loooong time but those of enough examples, very powerful ones)…

I want more and more to escape this satanically controlled world full of the devil's evil minions (the seculaists; the atheists; the leftists; the homos; the murderers; the rapists; etc., etc., etc.) I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!

I wonder why don't we (Christians) do something???!!! But what can we do? Evil is on right on schedule to take over the for the soon to come (temporarily) Christianless world after the Rapture and rule with wreckless abandon in the pre-tribulation and tribulation years.

Woe to those that are not with our Lord. Woe to those that are enemies of our God. I do pray they see the light and open their hearts before it is too late.
