Prophetic Perspectives #91: The Abraham Accord

Nathan Jones: A long sought after peace seems to be happening in the Middle East as Arab nations have started signing on to what is called the Abraham Accord. Could the Abraham Accord be the peace treaty that was prophesied by Daniel to be confirmed between the Antichrist and Israel? And, if that is so, are we now living in the Tribulation?

I’ve brought an expert in Bible prophecy to answer these questions. It’s my great joy to have Amir Tsarfati of Behold Israel joining us. He has been traveling from his home in Israel all around the United States holding Bible prophecy conferences. He has blessed us here at Lamb & Lion Ministries by stopping by our headquarters and visiting. Amir is also the author of the books The Last Hour and The Day Approaching.

One of the blessings that you who follow Amir know is that he is an expert in all things related to Israel. He possesses fantastic insights into the Bible as it relates to Bible prophecies concerning the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. So, while we here in America are kind of scratching our heads wondering what this Abraham Accord is all about, Amir can tell us what the terms of the Abraham Accord are and so clarify exactly what this monumental diplomatic event means prophetically.

The Accord and the Palestinians

Amir Tsarfati: The Abraham Accord is simply about peace between Israel and Arab countries that are not bordering with Israel. So far, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain have joined. The accord sets the tone for further possible peace agreements with Saudi Arabia and still other Arab nations.

We must understand that this accord has nothing to do with swapping populations or land. It has nothing to do with dividing Israel and Jerusalem.

The base of the Abraham Accord is President Donald Trump’s peace initiative for Israel and the Palestinians called the “Deal of the Century.” And, basically it is indeed like that. Since two states were offered as a solution, now we can deal with the other countries. The wonderful thing is that the Palestinians have rejected Trump’s deal.

Nathan Jones: It’s said the Palestinians never miss an opportunity to miss and opportunity.

Amir Tsarfati: Absolutely! The Abraham Accord is a far worse deal for the Palestinians than any other deal ever offered to them in history.

Personally, I think the Deal was the work of genius on behalf of President Trump because what he did was basically expose the Palestinians. They don’t really want peace with Israel, rather the Palestinians want to live in the land instead of the Jews. The Deal said if they really wanted to live in peace in Israel then they had to respect the fact that Jerusalem is already the capital of the Jewish people and has been so for the last 3,000 years. They must also respect the fact that the Jewish people live in homes in Judea and Samaria and believe that the Jews are not kicking the Palestinians out of their homes.

The Palestinians also have to accept the fact that the nation of Israel will not accept the idea of third and fourth generation refugees. There’s no such thing. A refugee cannot be second generation. Only for the Palestinians has the UN adjusted that definition.

Nathan Jones: Isn’t the standard of living for the Palestinians living in Israel higher than most Arab nations?

Amir Tsarfati: Of course. The Arabs in Israel do not want any other regime in Israel but the Jewish state.

But, the thing is this, President Trump said the Palestinians needed to look at reality and accept it. And, now, to go with it. They cannot live in their dreams that they’ll get the entire land of Israel to themselves.

Nathan Jones: So, no mantra, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free”?

Amir Tsarfati: That’s not going to work. Again, it’s not going to work. This is why President Trump had no problem moving the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem. After all, look, Jerusalem has been the capital of Israel. Why pretend that it is not when it is? So, why not move the embassy and act out the truth that Jerusalem is Israel’s capital? Trump didn’t do anything new for the Jewish people. We’ve been dealing all along as if Jerusalem is our capital. Thankfully, someone smelled the coffee and woke up. Now, other nations are following suit.

The Abraham Accord is in a way collateral damage of Trump’s Palestinian-Israeli peace initiative. The genius of the Deal is, the Palestinians for the longest time held a veto for any peace Israel may have with any other Arab state. The Palestinians used to say, “Give us everything we want, then the Arab nations will have peace with Israel.” President Trump said to the effect, “No, no, no. Let’s do exactly the opposite. We will let the Arabs have peace with Israel. When you see the fruit of that peace, then we can finally put an end to this conflict.”

The Accord and the Antichrist

Nathan Jones: So far, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain have joined the Abraham Accord, and soon some seven or so other countries such as Kosovo and possibly Saudi Arabia will follow suit. Is this accord then the peace that the Bible prophesied that the Antichrist was supposed to make with Israel? And, if so, would that mean then that Donald Trump is the Antichrist? Some people are wondering.

Amir Tsarfati: I know, I know. I get that question a lot as well. I answer that if you read the passage in Daniel 9 about the peace covenant that describes the peace and the length of the deal, as well as the person of the Antichrist, nothing fits Donald Trump or the treaty itself.

First of all, the Antichrist has to be someone the entire world will worship. Excuse me, but that’s not Donald Trump. He’s not the most popular person.

Second, the Antichrist’s treaty is set to last for seven years in length. The Deal of the Century and the Abraham Accord — these are not set at seven years.

Third, the Antichrist’s deal will be there when Israel supposedly has a temple on the Temple Mount, because halfway through the Tribulation, the Antichrist will cease the sacrifices. So, there are so many things involved with the Antichrist’s treaty that are not involved in the Abraham Accord.

We have to remember that in order for the Antichrist to arise, the Church must first be out of here. As 2 Thessalonians 2 talks about, the Restrainer must be taken out of the Antichrist’s way in order for him to be revealed. So, everything doesn’t match. The Church is still here, Donald Trump is only the President, and the Abraham Accord has nothing to do with the Temple of the Jews in Jerusalem.

The Accord and the Prophetic Timeline

Nathan Jones: Where then does the Abraham Accord fit into Bible prophecy?

Amir Tsarfati: I believe it sets the stage for the Ezekiel 38-39 Gog-Magog War. According to Ezekiel 38, Israel must be safe, secure, and prosperous. These Trump-negotiated deals are making Israel stronger in the Middle East and less of a controversial state. The Arabs are treating Israel less like it is an illegitimate state. Look, the Arabs are beginning to accept the Jewish state. We are no longer the red-headed stepchild. Israel is being considered a fair player in the Middle East. The Arab countries are seeing the benefits of siding with Israel.

May I add, all of this shift is in thanks to Barack Hussein Obama. The Iran Deal that he signed in 2015 basically backstabbed the Sunni countries such as Saudi Arabia. That’s when the Saudis, who are like the mother of all of the other Gulf states, decided they must change the way they see Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was the only one who stood in Congress against President Obama and against his administration and spoke out against the Iran Deal. When the Saudis saw that, of course, they knew which ally to choose.

Nathan Jones: So, in summary, we are not seeing the Tribulation happening right now. Donald Trump is not the Antichrist. I agree, the Abraham Accord is not the Antichrist’s peace treaty. Rather, the accord is laying down the peace and safety prerequisite that Israel will be in before the Gog-Magog invasion by Russia, Iran, and Turkey as prophesied in Ezekiel 38-39.

All of these Bible prophecies are coming together right now! We should then be asking people, “Have you given your life to Jesus Christ? Have you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior?” Jesus is coming soon! Are you ready?

  • Perfect timing for this Abraham accord. The friendship and respect Pres. Trump and PM Netanyahu have had for one another has been exciting to watch and now this great understanding among these key players 👏 🙌

  • The Abraham Accord still proposes a two state solution between Israel and the Palestinians. That is dividing God’s land even though right now they aren’t taking the bait. Jared Kushner even said this was a two state solution. And the U.S. is being judged for that proposal. As much as you all don’t want to see it that way….it’s quite apparent when you look at when all our troubles started. Jan. 28th. Our country is in free fall since President Trump went over to Israel with that proposal in January.

  • Don’t agree with your pre-trib position, but find your article on the Abraham Accord to be refreshing.
Trump’s alleged “deal of the century” is going against God’s will, isn’t it? As well as Israel’s decision to forego annexation of the West Bank settlements. Maybe that explains the “natural disasters” and COVID-19 issues facing the US and Israel.
Another disturbing development is Trump’s plan to sell F-35 fighter jets to the UAE, which will surely compromise Israel’s military supremacy in the region.

  • The land was divided in the Balfour Declaration. Israel was never given back all the land that God gave them originally. Plus the land was divided when Gaza was given to the Palestinians, but the Jews gave “land for peace” then & not the nations as Joel says. I believe the terrible weather, floods, fires, Covid etc happening to the USA are judgements from God for the evil being done here. This agreement will end up being “with the many” as Daniel 9:27 says…but it has to be confirmed (made stronger/ modified) by the antichrist to begin the Tribulation.

    • Yes! I totally agree that this understanding is biblical. Trump is not the antichrist, he is not ‘confirming’ the peace deal, and the ‘many’ to sign it are still coming aboard.

      • President Trump could never be the Antichrist, because the Antichrist is universally beloved. But yes, he’s paving the way for the “peace and safety” of Israel before the attack by Russia, Iran, and Turkey that fulfills Ezekiel 38 and 39.

  • The 2 (missing) Witnesses? Daniel is a reliable reference stating 3 and a half period commencing with Witnesses death & resurrection & “Come Up Here”? Does the call to come up apply to ALL Saints dead, followed by the living Saints?

The Witnesses of Daniel must actually be witnesses! To the Transfiguration, meaning Elijah & Moses. On topic this article- Do you have qualms about mentioning Bill Koenig’s “EYE TO EYE” narrative on US/Israel interactions?

On the National scene, it appears USA is poised on the Deuteronomy 28 V14/15 divide… Most likely America is in for Daniel Chapter 4 V-15 syndrome- “Great Tree” brought down, barely preserved with bands of Iron binding together the roots. Elections are important.

    • Always been taught that the two witnesses would never have known the corruption of death. Elijah and Enoch were and then were no more. Both taken up by the Lord because they found favor. Uncorrupted by death and therefore whole to return to preach during the Tribulation in Jerusalem.

  • I have also heard the deal has a section stating, end of claims, end of conflict” – is that included in the agreement, and if so, will Israel be required to give up their claim to Jerusalem, or is that directed at the “Palestinians”?
    Thank you.

  • We must always remember the Land of Israel belongs to the Apple of God’s Eye, The Jews. God will Protect His People. They are the Chosen ones. We are to Constantly pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. God loves Israel 🇮🇱. America must always stand with Israel 🇮🇱. I too love Israel. Best regards, Denise Shue

  • The biggest prophetic implication of Abraham Accord is Ezekiel 38:13, in which Sheba and Dedan will protest against Gog’s attack on Israel, “Art thou come to tale a spoil? Hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey?” It is amazing how today geopolitical events reflected in the Bible prophecies. Now we know identities of Sheba and Dedan! Thanks

  • We can see God’s hand in everything thats happening, like pieces of a puzzle being assembled. His purposes are being accomplished inspite of evil that tries to destroy everything. I have no doubt that his mighty hand is guiding President Trump in decisions.

Indeed this Abraham Accord sets the stage for peace with Israel’s surrounding nations. Peace and Prosperity are so desired.

The Gog-Magog War will come when Israel is at Peace.

Ezekiel 38 says: The Word of the Lord came to me. “Son of man set your face against Gog, and the land of Magog, the Chief Prince of Meshek and Tubal; prophesy against him and say, This is what the Sovereign Lord says, I am against you, Gog chief prince of Meshek and Tubal. I will turn you around and put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army.

These armies will invade a land of unwalled villages. Sheba and Dan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages will say, “Have you come to plunder?” I have gathered your hords to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods to seize and plunder. Ezekiel 38:11. Sheba and Dan, great trading centers in Arabia, would in effect say, “Who are you to usurp our position as the World’s Trade leaders?” Sheba and Dan would then join the confederacy. Tarshish was the leading trade center in the West.

God will directly intervene in the defense of Israel, unleashing severe natural disasters at the invaders from the north. In the end the stricken pagan nations will turn on themselves in confusion and panic. All those who set themselves against God will be destroyed. Ezekiel 38:21.

The Purpose: Ezekiel 39:7. I will make known my holy name among my people Israel. I will no longer let my holy name be profaned, and the nations will know that I the Lord am the Holy One of Israel. It is coming! It will surely take place, declares the Sovereign Lord. This is the Day I have spoken of.

  • Robert says he doesn’t agree with the pre-Trib position. He needs to pull all the facts together. Daniel states that there will be 7 years of Tribulation and that will be considered “Jacob’s Trouble” which is Trib only for Israel to be sanctified. The church is not mentioned once in the trib because it is raptured out in Revelation 4, where the “24 elders” are the church in heaven with white robes and crowns! Also, the Trib is started only by Jesus who can begin the Seal judgments (not Satan, which discounts a mid or pre-wrath view, let alone a radical amillennium view). We are in an increasing “birthpang” phase and better be ready for the uppertaker.

  • I read somewhere that the Palestinians were never a race of people and that Yasaff Arafat (apologies if I’ve spelt his name incorrectly) their once leader who has died was an Egyptian.

  • In Revelation 3:22, at the end of each letter to the churches, the believers are urged to listen and take to heart what was written in them. Although a different message is written to each church, all messages contain warnings and principles for everyone. Chapter 4 and 5 record glimpses into Christ’s glory. Here we see into the throne room of heaven.

God is on the throne and orchestrating all the events that John will record. Chapter 4 tells of worshipping God in heaven. After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the Voice I had heard first speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was the throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. Revelation 6. Then I saw the Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and elders.

All indications are that the Church, (The Bride) is in heaven with Christ after the 3rd Chapter. That is before the Great Tribulation, the Judgment day of man.

The Scroll and the Lamb Revelation 5:2. And I saw a mighty angel proclaim in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?”

Rev 5:3. But no one in heaven or earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside.

Revelation 5:5 Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

1 Thessalonians 5:9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The church isn’t mentioned again until Revelation 21 and The New Jerusalem, they are with the Lord where he makes everything new. Revelation 21:5.
