“Sign, sign, everywhere a sign.”
Those five words at the opening of a chorus sung by the Five Man Electric Band in 1970 captured the angst of a nation undergoing radical social change. But for those with eyes to see, those same words reflected a growing awareness that the prophetic Signs of the End Times were beginning to proliferate.
Ten years later, Lamb & Lion Ministries began proclaiming the soon return of Jesus Christ. Dr. David Reagan pointed to the increasing frequency and intensity of prophetic signs to assert that we are in the season of the Lord’s return. Over the next four and a half decades, the signs he delineated have become evident to all but those who are spiritually blind.
In recent years, these six categories of signs have been converging as never before, manifesting an intertwining of individual prophetic threads into an ever-more intricate tapestry of God’s omniscience and power.
Peter prophesied that in the last days, people will scoff at the growing evidence that Jesus’ promised return is drawing near—wanting to indulge in their “best life now” instead of anticipating the glory to come. Scripture says many will grow complacent and have no context to gain understanding, even when witnessing events like the Israel-Iran war.
Perhaps the most important question is not whether the Signs of the Times are multiplying as never before, but why God foretold so many indicators that the end is near. If we can understand His motivation for sending prophets and revealing prophecies, we will realize why it is imperative that we recognize what He clearly wants us to discern.
Download the latest edition of the Lamplighter magazine, as we’ll consider the prophetic convergence that is as urgent as today’s headlines—and seek to reflect the heart of our Savior. Surely, we are called to do just that as we await His arrival.
As Charlie Brown would say…”AAUGH!”
Convergence, convergence, convergence! Why is Lamb and Lion suddenly so in love with that term?
Have you never heard of the “birth pangs” in Matthew 24 spoken by our Lord Jesus Christ?
Please stick to a BIBLICAL DESCRIPTION of the increased frequency of the signs of the end times. Birth pangs, NOT convergence and NOT lyrics from a rock band.
Thanks to a comment from me from Dr. Jones on this topic, I myself will not use the extrabiblical word “Rapture” any more as I want to comply with my own advice. I will only speak of being caught up in the air with the Lord in the end times from now on.
Having said that I can now stand by my comment on this article as is.
