MP3: The Mighty Angels of Revelation 16

The Three Demonic Frogs
Vic Batista: In Revelation 16:12-16 the reader is introduced to a bizarre trio of demons.
“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty… And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon.”
We learn from this passage that the Sixth Bowl Judgment Angel dries up the Euphrates River, and the judgment seems to coincide with the release of three new demons. These three are unclean spirits “like frogs,” but they really are not actual frogs, rather they look like frogs in terms of their hideous appearances.
Nathan Jones: Exactly. This passage isn’t just talking about the Sixth Bowl Judgment Angel, but it also contains four other angels. We have three unclean spirits that look like frogs. Again, their description is a reminder that angels do not all look like a bunch of blonde, curly haired guys with wings and white robes as television likes to depict. God made all sort of different angels in different shapes and sizes. Some look like animals and some acts of nature, so they are not all standardized in their looks. These particular angelic beings look like frogs.
The frogs are demons who ooze their way out of the mouth of the Antichrist, who has been already possessed by Satan, so there is another demon possessing him besides the prince of all demons, which is Satan himself. Mentioned is the Beast, who is the Antichrist, and finally the False Prophet. We know from this passage particularly that these evil leaders of the Tribulation world are clearly demon possessed.
Then there is the Dragon, who is Satan, and he’s the chief demon who releases one of his own demons. This wild scene begs the question if Satan consumes or stores other demons within himself. And so we have four demons and one angel listed here in the Sixth Bowl Judgment.
Vic Batista: A lot of times we forget demons at one point were angels, but now they are fallen and have taken on the grotesque mask of evil. Like the Antichrist and False Prophet, unsaved people can also become demon possessed. Sometimes people can be possessed by more than one demon, such as the many who in the Gospels called themselves Legion. Jesus cast out thousands of demons from this individual because we know an entire herd of swine became possessed. We’d be foolish to think there are no any people today who are demon possessed.
Nathan Jones: Right, Mary Magdalen herself had seven demons cast out of her by Jesus. There are clearly demon possessed people today. Just watch the news and it will become pretty obvious that there are quite a number of people who are possessed. They are insane in the way they think and their morality is totally gone. They live to commit evil.
I believe from studying the demons mentioned throughout the Bible that their separation from God and descent into evil has driven many of them insane. Those possessed behave a lot like Legion. The man Legion possessed ran around naked. He also had tremendous strength and cut himself, frequently trying to commit suicide. We can conclude from these biblical stories that demons have become insane by nature.
I also believe that Satan himself is insane, too, because he continues to delude himself into believing that he can defeat Jesus Christ, but he loses again and again and again. Satan has the Bible to read, so he knows his demise is surely coming, and yet he continues to fight on. So, this separation from God creates a mental instability, not only in the demonic forces, but also in the people they possess as well.#Satan is insane because he deludes himself into believing that he can defeat #JesusChrist. Vic Batista: I sure wish people would recognize that spiritual warfare is for real and is not something they should dabble in. There is a new game out there on social media that’s like an Ouija Board called Charlie, Charlie. People think these are harmless little games, but they’re not.
Nathan Jones: The occult is real. We have had a number of guests on our television show “Christ in Prophecy” like Warren Smith and Caryl Matrisciana who have both been involved in the occult before they got saved out of the New Age Movement. They know firsthand how very real demons are.
I once knew a co-worker who also was saved out of the New Age Movement. She recalls she used to engage in astral-projection where she would leave her body, and how terrified she was when she came back once and there was something dark inhabiting her body.
The demonic world is certainly real. That may be hard to believe because we live in a material world and we only see the world from a material perspective, but there is a spiritual world out there as well. The Bible makes it very clear that there is a spiritual war being waged behind the scenes of human events, but we just can’t see it.There's a spiritual war being waged behind the scenes of human events. #Angels Click To Tweet
We have to protect ourselves from demonic influences by staying in the Word of God and by being close to Jesus, and most importantly by being saved so as to have the Holy Spirit indwell within us. When the Holy Spirit indwells in us, then the demonic world cannot.
Vic Batista: We are taught how to defend ourselves in Ephesians 6:10-12.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”
The Dragon’s Minions
Nathan Jones: With the book of Revelation the reader gets quite a behind-the-scenes picture of the spiritual warfare the three leaders of the Sixth Bowl Judgment embody. The first ruler is the Dragon himself, Satan, ruling through the Antichrist, who is the Beast, and promoted by his False Prophet in his one-world, Satan-worshiping religion.
What a disgusting scene the Apostle John must have witnessed when watching the Satanic Trinity puke out three frog-like demons. These frog demons are then sent out into the world. They gather the remaining kings of the world for one last-ditch battle.
The world will be divided into ten regions at that time, and each region will be ruled over by what is called a king, and these demons will martial these kings and their armies. Well, what is left of these armies, because most of the world up to this point in the Tribulation has pretty much been destroyed. The Three Frog Demons gather the kings and their armies together to fight against what Satan knows is the coming of Jesus Christ. Jesus is coming soon!
After the Three Frog Demons gather all the armies together to the Antichrist’s position, they ready to battle with the Kings of the East who have just crossed the dried-up Euphrates River. The Kings of the East would likely include Japan, India, China, and other Asian countries. They will according to Daniel 11-12 march to rebel against the Antichrist, and so the Antichrist will meet up with them in the Valley of Jezreel in Israel in order to deal with their treason. But, as the armies gather against each other, they instead unite against the return of Jesus Christ.
Think of the book of Daniel as the Revelation of the Old Testament. Daniel describes in detail the Antichrist and his personality and what he will try to accomplish and the wars that he will wage. Again, the Antichrist will be trying to cut off a rebellion, but at the close of Revelation 19, with the return of Jesus, the armies under the Antichrist and the Kings of the East will be united against Jesus Christ.Think of the book of Daniel as the #Revelation of the #OldTestament. Satan knows that his time is short because Jesus is coming soon. Crazy enough, and as insane as it sounds, Satan believes if he puts together a big enough army that he can actually defeat Jesus Christ.
Vic Batista: Insane! Demonic spirits and those they possess really have clouded their minds leaving them with no real grasp on reality.
Nathan Jones: People troubled in soul, though they might not be demoniacally possessed, are influenced by demons because they have opened themselves up to them. If you play with the occult like Ouija boards, tarot cards, palm reading and astrology, then you have opened up the door and let demonic influences in. Demons just can’t come in and rule your life unless you allow them. You make yourself spiritually vulnerable by getting involved in the occult. You will be opening yourself up to the demonic world.
Demons don’t love you. They don’t want to help you. Actually, demons hate you! They want you dead because you bear the image of Christ. Mankind is made in God’s image, and they hate us for it, and so they want to destroy mankind. People must stay away from voodoo, witchcraft, and the other occultic evils now becoming found so much more prevalently in our society.
Vic Batista: Definitely stay away from the New Age and the occult. Be very, very discerning! Turn to the Word of God in prayer and allow the Holy Spirit to help guide you. If you don’t have a relationship with Jesus Christ, turn to Him for your salvation and protection. The Bible offers people a way of escaping their own sin and judgment by asking for Christ’s salvation.
Nathan Jones: Give your life to Jesus Christ. Part of the reason for all these judgments in Revelation obviously is for God to punish evil, but also to get people on their knees. When calamity happens, that is when even the strongest Atheist will stand up and shout, “I surrender! God help me. Help me!” Surrendering is what God wants. He wants us to surrender our lives by ending the evil in our lives and our rebelliousness against Him. God wants us to surrender and accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God and our Savior.
To become saved, in repentance pray in your heart, “Dear, Jesus, please forgive me of my sins and be my Lord and Savior.” Jesus promised that He will do just that. He will forgive us of our sins. He will get rid of our guilt. He will give your a new life and the hope of eternal life with Him. What a blessing it is to have the Holy Spirit — God’s Spirit Himself — living in your life, guiding and directing you towards holy living.
