Israel To Fall Within 20 Years

PDF

“Israel will fall within 20 years!”

Well, that’s what the Iranian PressTV website is claiming a secret Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) report predicts. If I truly believed an Iranian news site provided credible reporting on secret CIA documents, I’d best be getting my news from Al Jazeera from now on! But still, the article titled “CIA report: Israel will fall in 20 years” (Mar. 13, 2009) makes some pretty interesting prophecies:

  • the American public will not take Israeli conduct toward the Palestinians and the Gaza strip in particular
  • an inexorable movement away from a two-state to a one-state solution (i.e. no Israel)
  • all Palestinian refugees will return to the occupied territories
  • two million Israelis will exodus out of the land and move to the US within the next fifteen years
  • the return of over one and a half million Israelis to Russia and other parts of Europe
  • a decline in Israeli births whereas a rise in the Palestinian population
  • an end to the dream of an “Israeli land”

Is Israel ceasing to exist within the next 20 years so far-fetched a scenario? If the claim came from just the PressTV source alone, then yes, it certainly would be unbelievable. And yet, there are rumblings among Jews who believe this very thing may happen.

In a January 7, 2009, Townhall.com article titled “Why Israel Will Lose — Again,” Jewish columnist Ben Shapiro expressed his angst over the loss of the Jewish momentum to defend their right to live in their own land. Shapiro states three reasons why Israel’s future as a nation is bleak:

  1. “Israel is filled with tired Israelis. After 60 years of unceasing war, Israel’s population is exhausted. They don’t have the willpower to withstand the constant battering of the Europeans and the leftist Americans and the Russians and the Chinese. They want peace, and they want it now. They don’t want to see their children drafted and killed in Gaza or in Jenin. The Israelis are tired. And because they are tired, they have become foolishly optimistic. Things can’t get much worse, the Israelis think to themselves. Things have to get better. Maybe this time — this time — if we just give until it hurts, they’ll stop hating us. And so they give until it hurts. Until it agonizes. Until it kills. And they won’t stop giving until they have nothing left to give.”
  2. “Israel’s governmental system promotes centrism. Even if most Israelis found the intestinal fortitude to push for destruction of their enemies, the governmental system would prevent it. Israel, unlike the United States, has a parliamentary government. This means that every elected prime minister must forge a coalition with those across the aisle in order to maintain power. Every Israeli government is a conglomeration of rightists, leftists, and centrists. The moment an administration veers too far from the center, the government falls, and new elections are called.
  3. “Israel has never decided on a founding philosophy. Israel was originally established as a homeland for the Jewish people — but such ethnic and cultural sentiments are considered passe by Israeli policymakers. The post-Zionist movement, which accepts Arab nationalism but rejects Jewish nationalism, dominates Israeli intellectual life. And it forces Israel to apologize for its own existence.”

Even interviews with leading Christian ministries serving in Israel (1, 2) show Christian leaders do not believe Israel can stand up alone another 20 years.

The average layman as well doesn’t have to be a betting man to assess Israel’s current predicament and declare them too risky a bet. Israel is a tiny nation the size of New Jersey surrounded by 250 million hostile Muslims who desperately want the Jews off their land and exterminated. These Muslim nations are armed to the teeth and well funded by oil revenue, and now threatening nuclear warfare. Every other world authority like the United Nations, the Muslim League, the Vatican and now even an increasing number of Christian denominations question Israel’s right to exist as a nation. The European Union and the United States exert never-ceasing pressure for Israel to divide itself into a “two-state solution,” a solution which would leave Israel totally indefensible. After 60 years, the Jews are tired of fighting. The liberal mind set of the Jewish nation is one of appeasement and supplication. And the leaders of Israel, they form a brittle government that’s plagued by corruption and a loss of a vision for a “greater Israel.”

No nation can survive that has lost its will to live. In this condition, Israel would be very fortunate to survive another 10 more years.

That Israel can’t possibly survive by its own might within two decades is a remarkable modern day sign of the end times. God loves to show His strength when people are at their weakest and the situation seems the most hopeless (2 Cor. 12:9). If Israel cannot survive for much longer, then we know for sure that God will not delay His return for too much longer. God’s made too many numerous promises in the Bible to restore and revitalize the nation of Israel well through the upcoming Tribulation and Millennial Kingdom (Deut. 30:1-9; Isa. 2:1-4; 60:1-62:7; Mic. 4:1-7; Zech. 8:22-23), and God always keeps His promises.

Keep your eye on Israel. Their apparent lack of future means Jesus Christ’s soon return!

  • I can see why God laughs at the plans of men. Those of us with a decent understanding of Bible prophecy can laugh right along with Him on this one. I can’t help but grin when I read the predictions of those who are blind to the truth of the events to come.

Having that sort of insider’s knowledge of the future is extremely beneficial as it allows one to accept the current horrid state of world events with more hope and anticipation than dread and fear.

  • If Israel cannot survive for much longer, then we know for sure that God will not delay His return for too much longer

Great words to hope by. I’m looking up.

  • I believe that a war is going to begin very soon in the Middle East.

The discovery of a intact parchment buried in soil in Ireland in 2006 is a signal that God has gave us that the IDF are going to act against the inner circle Arabs enemies states.

It may be possible that a pre emptive strike against Iran nuclear facilities may be the ignition factor.

Time is going to be the best judge.

But there is something that I know for sure: Israel is not going to fall (be destroyed) in 1, 5, 20 or more years. I know this because I believe what God has saith in His Word.

I don’t know who are going to believe: God or Iranian press.

  • Four weeks ago when I first read of this CIA report I made a few choice comments. Time to repeat them once again.

Generally speaking, as a secular operation within a secular organization, the analysis folks at the CIA are utterly clueless when it comes to the Bible and the prophetic Word of God. I know this as a hard fact on a very personal level.

The DO (“Dee-Oh” or Directorate of Operations) doesn’t dabble in this sort of thing, and the analytical branches only see what is passed on to them for analysis by collections and field officers. Based upon analysis of those kinds of input, the net result as we see in the above report should surprise no one.

However, we do know that the analysis backing this new report is inherently and deeply flawed due to the fact that it is utterly devoid of any spiritual context, content or component.

Seems to me they need to start reading this Journal. They should consider us as HUMINT (Human Intelligence) sources with access to the Highest Authority in the universe.

  • What if… Are we sure this is THE nation of Isreal talked about in the end times. Suppose Israel falls again as a Nation. Suppose the end times are not now but for a future state of Israel.

I pray this is not so and I don’t really believe it is. But remember Paul thought the Lord would return in his lifetime. What a nightmare it would be if the return of Christ is not soon in coming.

What if God in his mercy waits another 1,000 years to fulfill his plan?

  • Great question, Mark! We live in a unique age of knowledge and transportation as Daniel 12:4 predicted, but yet we are confined to this world. Because of the uniqueness of this age, and the massive amounts of signs of the times that point to the soon return of Jesus Christ, I don’t think the world’s going to experience a second regathering of Israel to relight the end-time fuse which is already burning quickly.

  • Don’t you mean a third restoration, Nathan?

Moses prophesied only two dispersions and two returns. The first happened when Cyrus the Great, 559-529 BC, in the time of Ezra and Nehemiah.

The second occured in the early 20th century.

God is not done with Isra’el.

Like I told some co-workers a few weeks back: Isra’el will never fall. Never. Put that in the bank, draw interest off it, and go spend it because it is guaranteed.

  • I was recently reading Hal Lindsey’s Everlasting Hatred (I think that’s the title) and if I recall correctly he pointed out Biblically that after this latest re-gathering Israel would NEVER again cease to exist. (Sorry I can’t be more specific with Biblical references – I don’t have the book with me). They will come close near the end of the Tribulation but Jesus will return and save them.

  • can anyone answer this, how can we have more than 5-10yrs left till the rapture with all thats going on? the stage is NOT BEING set but it ALREADY IS set. the psalm 83 alliance is there, the Gog/Magog alliance is formed, the roman empire is revived, america is rapidly declining, it seems 5yrs maybe an overestimate.

  • The Everlasting Hatred is a great book, and Hal Lindsey is right: Isra’el will never again cease to exist from May of 1948 onward.

As far as I can tell, all of the pre-Rapture prophecies have been fulfilled and it could be any time now.

  • Nathan,
Do you think the two state solution will be formed and then the 7 year peace treaty will be formed or do you think Psalm 83 will happen and the peace treated will be formed?

  • Sorry, Son of Thunder, meant not a second end-time regathering, though I think the current regathering comes in spurts, with the last at the Sheep-Goat Judgment just after the Tribulation (Matt. 25:32).

Whether there will be a two state “solution” is a tough call, Paul. Biblically, I think it’s impossible for Israel now to give up Jerusalem, but they might give up more land. Gaza hadbe given up to become a nation for a Psalm 83 scenario to be fulfilled. I’m still on the fence about Psalm 83, though the argument for it seems more realistic every day. If Lieberman was PM they’d have a leader who would act in a Psalm 83 way.

  • “if lieberman was PM they’d have a leader who would act in a psalm 83 way” you sure about that? it seems to be netyannyahoo (dont know how to spell his name) is JUST the person who wouldnt take anything lying down. i dont know much about lieberman but netanyouknowwho would act in a psalm 83 way. if i’m mistaken let me know.

  • i read everlasting hatred, hal should update most of his books. other than that and his placement of GOG/MAGOG which should also be updated he is pretty accurate. his placement of that war may aslo have to do with his age, back in the 60’s alot of people saw the war occuring in the tribulation cuz the muslem nations were’nt as powerful as they are today but they still thought the rapture was immenent (according to what i’m told, i was not there)

  • Many good Christian folks are “looking” forward to see certain prophecies fulfilled.

Looking as in being a watchman and noting that “A” will happen, resulting in “B” which equals “C” and such-and-such Bible prophecy is fulfilled.

The insight I have gained of late is that most of the major prophecies for the last days are in progress, or more correctly, in the process of fulfillment.

Ezekiel 37 has been and remains in in progress since the turn of the century, hit a milestone in 1948, and continues to this hour.

Psalm 83 began its process of fulfillment in late 1947 and continues in spurts of warfare to this hour. The final action centers around Syrian aggression and appears to be an imminency, particularly since the Hebollah-Israel War of summer 2006, the HAMAS-Israel war of early 2008.

The ever increasing severity and sheer numbers of the many differenttypes of “birth pangs” our Messiah spoke of have been ongoing, yet also spiked upwards in the 1947-48 timeframe and have been on a logarithmic increase since then.

There are many others, but I think my exegetical point is clear… we need not look forthe fulfillments of these are we should be aware that they are occurring as we speak.

When the fulfillments actually happen it will be like popcorn popping, or more accurately for this age, like some one firing off a full 30-round clip from an AK. Sudden, cataclysmic, intercontinental violence and upheaval. Existential world war which will have the entire secular world more than prepared and ready for the first charasmatic “peacemaker” to come along with seeming valid solutions for a world gone insane.

    Maranatha!

  • Hartdawg, Netanyahu had his chance as PM before and totally buckled under pressure. His new coalition can only hold together if he appeases moderate Labor elements.

Lieberman still has the “Greater Israel” vision.

But, we never know who God will use.

  • as i said, i dont know much about lieberman, perhaps h would have acted in a psalm 83 way. i dont know netanyahus plans for appeasing moderate elements but i watched him in an interview with i forgot who and be doesnt plan on buckling again, or so he says (this was a few months ago so i dont remember all the details perhaps someone could refresh me) but we’ll see what he does when the pressure is on. and it WILL come.

  • Thanks for clarifying your statement about the dispersion thing, Nathan. I thought it was a little confusing.

And I have to agree with SeanOsborne that the Psalm 83 war is a progressive conflict that started in May 1948 that will probably culminate in the Isaiah 17 action, and eventually Gog/Magog.

In Netanyahu’s defence: Isra’el wasn’t under the pressure in his first term that she is now. The PLO was dangerous enough, but Hamas and Islamic Jihad are vastly different than Arafat’s group. Plus, they weren’t constantly under missile attack from Gaza and Lebanon.

I don’t think Binyamin Netanyahu is going to take any stuff, but I think he’s going to cautious at the same time.

Either way, Isra’el is safe. God has His people’s backs.

  • Son of Thunder,

I have to agree. The threats Israel is facing are a greater challenge than Netanyahu’s first time as PM. Not only that, but I don’t see anywhere Israel can go at this point. They will have to go to war. The rest of the world, including the U.S. (very ashamed to say) are siding against them.

I like Leiberman, but it sounds like he has corruption charges mounting against him. Plus, I’ve read that he is a political chameleon, and will lean which ever way that best fits at the time. That is what I read on Joel Rosenberg’s site, and I trust his opinion since he has been involved in Israeli politics.

  • Netanyahu was the best choice. He understands the Islamic threat that is facing his country more than anyone else that ran for PM, or so I gather from an interview he had on “The Hal Lindsey Report.” I think, though, that it’s Netanyahu’s actions which will help bring about the Gog/Magog invasion.

It’s our turning from Isra’el that is bringing about all our troubles in this country. Hurricane Katrina hit just a day after we gave Hamas weapons. And the day the economic situation really got going, Condi Rice was in Jerusalem working out a way to split God’s city down the middle. So, in my opinion, Isra’el has no friends. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is going to act for His people very, very soon. He is going to reintroduce Himself in a mighty, unmistakable way.

  • LOL, who in the Knesset isn’t under some investigation! The biggest cameleons are the Shas, ironically the ultra religious. They’d sell their grandmothers. Israeli politics are a mess, proof God has to be with them.

Sean Osborne may want to comment on his most recent article about VP Joe Biden’s warning to Israel that’d they’d be “ill-advised to launch a military strike against Iran.” Biden must believe Iran will buckle under Obama’s charm. It’s very clear this administration is very pro-Arab.

  • I know if I was a totalitarian nut with nuclear ambitions and I received a video from Obama saying; “Pretty please don’t obtain nuclear weapons or you will require me to hold a town hall meeting with college kids and talk tough,” and ends the message bowing to Ahmadnejad, I have to say, I’d be shaken by the video…

  • Here’s what I think, and I may be way off, but it’s what I think.

Observe the Obama administration. Why won’t they deal with Isra’el, even though they have billions of barrels of natural gas and soon oil? The answer: Surah 3.118 – O you who believe! do not take for intimate friends from among others than your own people; they do not fall short of inflicting loss upon you; they love what distresses you; vehement hatred has already appeared from out of their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater still; indeed, We have made the communications clear to you, if you will understand.

And: Surah 5.51 – O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.

And: Surah 60.1 – O you who believe! do not take My enemy and your enemy for friends: would you offer them love while they deny what has come to you of the truth, driving out the Apostle and yourselves because you believe in Allah, your Lord? If you go forth struggling hard in My path and seeking My pleasure, would you manifest love to them? And I know what you conceal and what you manifest; and whoever of you does this, he indeed has gone astray from the straight path.

He can’t befriend the Hebrews or even work with them, according to his religion: Islam.

  • Thunder,

I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that you are right.

I personally think that Obama does not adhere to any religion or God. His non-stop support for everything homosexual is almost like he is purposely spitting in God’s face. He went out of his way to invite gay families to the WH Easter Egg Hunt.

During the election people were saying; “Obama’s not Muslim, he’s a Christian because he belongs to Jeremiah Wright’s church.” Besides Jeremiah Wright not being a true Christian, before he joined Trinity United he was a member of the Nation of Islam. Wright didn’t leave that thought, he just disguised it.

Did you see the article yesterday that said Obama Admin thinking of blocking out the sun?
    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,513242,00.html

  • I have now, Gideon. Thanks for the link.

Just as I hit “enter” on my last comment, I heard the local news say that Obama is hosting a Passover sader at the W.H. Along with that and the Fox News report I say, if he isn’t Muslim (who are allowed to lie to advance Islam) then he is definately a pantheist who believes in all gods except the one God. Very Babylonian mystery religion type stuff.

And since Jeremiah Wright has the endorsement of Louis Farrakhan, he MUST be a born-again believer. That man is so whacked out, even Oprah avoids him.

The actions of the last few administrations are bringing about a curse on this nation which can only be reversed by two things: 1)Return to the God of the Bible, and 2)Bless Isra’el. If we don’t, then it will be the U.S. that falls within 20 years.
