America Becoming an Enemy of Israel

Obama vs. Netanyahu

Is America becoming Israel’s enemy?

American-Israeli relations are at a 35 year all-time low, according to the Israeli ambassador to the United States, Michael Oren.

The relationship between the United States and Israel has not been this battered since Gerald Ford was president, sparring with Israel after their refusal to withdraw from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, which Israel eventually did. There were some rocky moments since then between President Ronald Reagan and Israel over Israel invading Lebanon and bombing Iraq’s nuclear reactor, as well as American actions over the U.S. selling air defenses to Saudi Arabia. Again in 1991, President George Bush, Sr.’s government denied loan guarantees to Israel over disagreements on West Bank settlements. Those past disputes were merely disagreements among committed friends, though. Today the tone has become far, far worse.

The United States and Israel began to see rapid deterioration in their relationship as soon as President Barack Obama took the reigns in January 2009. President Obama began his term of office by reaching out to Muslims in a speech in Cairo, and since then has repeatedly given his ear to Israel’s enemies while publicly berating Israel at every opportunity. With world public opinion set hostilely against Israel over the fallacious Goldstone Report which accuses Israel of war crimes in Gaza during Operation Cast Lead, Israel needs a real friend that doesn’t talk like an enemy.

Mr. Obama next began calling for something no previous administration has insisted on. He demanded that Israel completely halt all “settlement” activity in the West Bank and in East Jerusalem.

For Israel supposedly being one of America’s closest ally, Mr. Obama has yet to visit Jerusalem as president. Politically such a disregard is considered a snub.

How has the United States responded to Israel’s threat to their very existence?

Israel now faces a crisis of epic proportions as Iranian Muslim clerics and their President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are hell-bent on developing a nuclear weapon and arming terrorist regimes like Hamas and Hezbollah to follow through on their threat to “wipe Israel off the map.” The world has tried every diplomatic means possible to curtail Iran’s development, but every effort has been met with a slap in the face by Ahmadinejad. All attempts at placing serious sanctions on Iran have been vetoed due to the gas interests Russia and China have in Iran.

American support of Israel in their dealings with Iran has ironically only been friendly to Iran. The World Tribune reports: “Since taking office, Obama has refused to approve any major Israeli requests for U.S. weapons platforms or advanced systems. Officials said this included proposed Israeli procurement of AH-64D Apache attack helicopters, refueling systems, advanced munitions and data on a stealth variant of the F-15E.”

And the latest, President Obama has blocked a 2008 deal to deliver to Israel bunker-buster bombs capable of destroying underground facilities such as the Iranian nuclear weapons sites. The bunker-buster bomb is a “2,000-pound bomb, produced by Boeing and coupled with a laser guidance kit” that “was designed to penetrate concrete bunkers and other underground hardened sites.” While en route, the U.S. military was ordered to divert the shipment of 387 bunker-buster bombs from Israel to a military base in Diego Garcia.

What the Obama administration is effectively doing, according to the World Tribune’s congressional source, is to place an embargo on Israel. This makes good on U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s threat to reduce military aid to Israel because of its construction policy.

With Iran just a year away from having two atomic bombs and already proving they have the delivery missile system capable of delivering a warhead to anywhere in Israel, Washington’s timing couldn’t have been worse. The Obama administration believes that once the Palestinians have their own country Iran will back down, naiveté at its best considering Iran is willing to irradiate the very land they say belongs to the Palestinians. The Palestinians are a pawn to Iran and nothing more; a pawn that Washington is too focused on, missing Iran’s larger and often announced ambitions to bring Shiite Islam to the whole world.

What is the source of the breakdown in relations between America and Israel?

On the surface, the degradation of relations is over the Israeli right to build homes in Jerusalem.

Having proven historic ownership of Jerusalem since King David 3,000 years ago, only since the Six Day War of 1967 has Israel again regained control over Jerusalem, having lost it when the Babylonians conquered it in the sixth century B.C. Though contested by some Muslim nations, by all legal rights Israel owns Jerusalem and has the right to build on their own land. As Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu confirmed in a March speech to the pro-Israel lobby group, Aipac, “Jerusalem is not a settlement, it’s our capital” and Israel has a “right to build.”

The Obama administration sides with Israel’s enemies, declaring the left-over Syrian invaders now called Palestinians have the right to the eastern portion of Jerusalem and all the West Bank lands in the very heart of Israel. President Obama has made the freezing of all Jewish construction the paramount factor in Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations. His eventual goal is to forcibly make Israel cede East Jerusalem to the Palestinians as their capital, rather than Ramallah, and set up an independent Palestinian nation.

Construction in Jerusalem

Below the surface of the souring American-Israeli relations is President Obama’s well known ego. The continuation of Israel building apartment complexes and businesses on their own land against President Obama’s wishes has been taken by the President as a personal insult — ultimately as an act of disobedience.

BBC News reports that U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has expressed Mr. Obama’s anger by calling Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s continued defiance of Obama’s will by continuing construction “insulting.” David Axelrod, an aide to President Obama, has dubbed Netanyahu’s persistence “an affront” and a “calculated attempt to undermine the expected launch of indirect talks.” Vice President Joe Biden in his March visit to Jerusalem displayed Mr. Obama’s contempt by showing up hours late to all of his meetings and publicly berating Israeli officials on their own soil.

The bedrock reason for Americas’ continued distancing from Israel is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

Israel is in the processes of regathering from the four corners of the world back into their own land, which is a fulfillment of Isaiah 11:11-12. Israel becoming a nation again as it did on May 14, 1948, was a fulfillment of Isaiah 66:7-8 and Ezekiel 37:21-22. The Jews reoccupying the city of Jerusalem found its fulfillment on June 7, 1967, as Zechariah 8:4-8 said they would. The Jews restored the barren land making it fertile again, just as Ezekiel 36:34-35 said would happen. And finally, the reason for America’s increasing hostility towards Israel, the fulfillment this very day that all the nations of the world will come together against Israel over the issue of the control of Jerusalem, as written in Zechariah 12:1-3.

The United States is unwittingly playing its role in Bible prophecy, coming against Israel over its ownership of Jerusalem. It will ultimately fulfill its role along with every other nation by invading Israel and having its armies destroyed by Jesus Himself in the final battle of the upcoming 7-year Tribulation — Armageddon (Rev. 19:11-21).

The United States has been soured by Satan’s hatred of the Jews. Satan hates the Jews with a passion because through them God brought the world the Messiah and His salvation, the Bible, and the promises of future restoration. Israel fulfilling Bible prophecy today proves that God’s destiny for Satan — the Lake of Fire — is unalterable and conclusive (Rev. 20:7-10).

Is God today warning us ahead of judgment?

God never brings about judgment without forewarning, for He is a just and loving God. The Bible says that God will bless those who bless Israel, and He will curse those who curse Israel (Gen. 12:3). The Bible also says that he who touches Israel touches “the apple of God’s eye” (Zech. 2:8).

The current administration has been poking God in the eye tremendously as of late. When Vice President Biden was in Israel, God responded with a freak storm in the Northeast that flooded New Jersey and left half a million without power. God then held His restraining hand back, and now Americans have been straight-jacketed into socialized healthcare, suffocating under even more governmental control and losing hard won freedoms.

In the Bible, whenever a leader disobeyed God (such as King David did when making the census), the people also paid the penalty. God’s method of operation has not changed, and the American people have paid the price for our elected leaders’ sins against God. We have injured ourselves by trying to divide Israel, just as Zechariah 12:3 warned. We will continue to pay the price for our leadership’s stand against Israel and God Himself, ultimately being destroyed as a nation when we side with the Antichrist against Israel in the last days.

Christians should prepare for God’s warnings through natural disasters and economic chaos by humbly calling out to God to forgive us, holding back His anger against the United States, at least until after the Rapture. During hardship we should continue doing as we’ve always done — pulling close to God in prayer and Bible reading, living holy lives, and using the time we have to share the Gospel with others.

In these tumultuous and terrifying times, as our leaders rocket us to our own nation’s destruction, we should heed what Psalm 56:3 teaches us concerning God, “When I am afraid, I will trust in you.”

  • 1st, i wish you wouldnt refer to it as "president" obama, i dont recognize his authority, 2nd,as i mentioned before there are millions of christians who support isreal still so o believe (hopefully)God will hold off judgment til the rapture 3rd, since i cant afford to stock up and prepare i`m gonna prepare by giving more. finally, perhaps enough americans will rise up against this ungodly regime and turn this thing around. (if it aint too late)

  • I am convinced Obama is a secret Muslim. Though it's not so secret if actions speak louder than words. From his covering up of crosses in a church in which he has speaking in to his disgraceful treatment of Israel, his track record is obvious that he is at least anti-Christian and anti-Israel.

  • Nathan said "When Vice President Biden was in Israel, God responded with a freak storm in the Northeast that flooded New Jersey and left half a million without power."

My question is this…how do you connect the dots between those events?

The reason I ask is from a perspective of wondering why God would punish/warn America with such actions and let the ultimate Jew hating nations and peoples off the hook? Why just pick on the U.S.?

The U.S. is still the best ally of Israel. Christians in this nation still support her and so do the majority of Congress (even as lousy as that body is). AIPAC's website seems to demonstrate Congress is still solidly behind Israel.

    So I wonder the following…

Why not have some floods, earthquakes, torandos, etc. against all the Muslim nations?

Why pick on the citizens of the U.S.? Why doesn't God create an earthquake directly under the White House?

Humorous aside: My "word verification" was "colyte". Anyone who has had certain medical procedures knows what that is all about. Is there a message in there for me re: my comments? 🙂

  • Billy, White House correspondent William Koenig wrote a book titled Eye to Eye that has a great answer to your request to connect the dots. Dr. Reagan addressed some of those American-Israeli cause-effects in his article on Hurricane Katrina.

I would answer that the Muslim nations are past warning. When the heart gets too hard, God gives man over to judgment. Judgment is sealed for those nations in Ezekiel 38-39. The rest of the world will face judgment during the Tribulation. For now, while there's still hope and time, God's warning the U.S. in clear hopes of seeking repentance.

  • Billy,

Eye to Eye is a great book 4 your answer & I agree with Nathan's answer to you on the Muslim nations. I would add that most of these nations have already been called out by name in the prophecies for their appointed, set time of judgment in the Trib. The US is not called out by name so we have a little bit of breathing room to tap the brakes a few time before OBumr & the Gang take US over the cliff…

Also, if you check the earthquake records, Turkey, Afghanistan, and others over there have had their share of shakers too.

And your "suspicions" about our 1st UK illegal-alien-in-chief OhBummer were more than confirmed in his on-air, nation-wide interview with George Step-in-awful-stuff before the election when he slipped up and said "my Muslim faith" and George corrected him saying "my Christian faith" and the Usurper-in-chief, without skipping a beat, repeated "my Christian faith"! Remember, the Koran teaches that they are allowed to lie to 'infidels' to gain the advantage…

I would find it hard to believe that even the most loose, nominal "Christian" could ever slip up and utter such a foreign thing! But, in the Deceiver-in-chief's case, it's the only thing that would make sense!

  • What I would like to know, and hopefully someone could tell me, is what gives the US government the right to tell Israel what they can and can't do in their own homeland? Seriously, who gave them that right? I think it's pretty arrogant to assume such a right exists.

  • Thanks for the reply. I will look into the reference materials.

Everything in all your replies to me made sense.

  • From a human standpoint, it is both sad and worrying at the way the world is treating Israel. With the U.S. now betraying Israel, that concern is greatly increased.

Yet from the eye of faith, it means that no one else can take the credit for when God acts in defence of His ancient people, all the world will know it and hopefully tremble. No nation will be able to accuse another of helping the ‘burdensome stone’, all will stand with gaping mouths at Israel’s deliverance from otherwise certain destruction.

This treachery is a certain sign to The Church that THE day of her rescue is extremely close because THE day of God’s wrath is also extremely close to fulfilment. Maranatha!
    E.I.

  • E.I. – that's exactly what i was thinking!! As saddened as i am by seeing the US administration's treatment of Israel (and really, what we did to Netanyahu? disgraceful really 🙁 at the same time i can see that God really IS peeling away every trusted friend they have, so that they will be forced to finally turn to Him as their only hope. so in a way it is sad, but at the same time exciting! It's all coming together just as He said all those many years ago! Come Lord Jesus!! 🙂

  • Excellent article Nathan. Bravo!! That was a very good article. I enjoyed it a lot. Keep up the good work. 🙂

And yes to Billy, Osama…er…Obama is definitely a moslem. No questions about it. He said during the elections or whenever that when the political winds blew he would side with the islamists. The leftist liberals got all upset when we pointed that out and said it wasn't true, but they were just deceived and/or were just as anti-semite as Obama is.

    God help us. 🙁

  • Excellent post, Nathan Jones! It drew me straight in here. Hey, I fully agree with Sean Osborne, a first poster, on unity. I also liked the suggestion of an earthquake under the White House. Would that it were that simple! My best wishes to all–carry on!

  • I have no doubt that God will judge this nation (again) for our treatment of Israel. Maybe Shaddai already has: socialized health-care, anyone?

But whatever happens, this nation will suffer. All nations that have been harsh with Israel have. Look at the muslim nations: most of the people who live in them live like it's 600 years ago, even though they sit right on top of most of the world's oil.

Look at Great Britain who (in an earthly fashion) began the return of the people to the land. At one time (and it wasn't that long ago), the sun never set on the British empire. Then they turned their back on Israel. Where is the British empire today?

Why should the American empire be any different? I just hope the judgment on America is the Rapture.

  • After giving this more thought I offer this analogy:

Imagine a family with four sons. Two of the sons hate the fourth and constantly physically beat him, spit on him, hate him. The third son likes the fourth but occassionally pokes him in the arm.

So how do the parents respond? By dealing with/punishing the first two sons? No, they are left alone. Do the parents punish the third son who pokes the arm? No, they leave him alone.

Instead the parents go over to the neighbor boy who never bothers the fourth son, who actually is kind and supportive of the fourth son, and beat the tar out of him.

This is how I view the comment about "When Vice President Biden was in Israel, God responded with a freak storm in the Northeast that flooded New Jersey and left half a million without power."

I can't see why innocent people, many of them Israel supporting Christians would be the target as a punishment against the actions of those government being hostile to Israel.

  • Clarification…I'm not saying I'm right…I just don't understand it.

I just can't see why punishment would be against people in New Jersey. Why not Kansas? Or how about SAN FRANCISCO???!!!

Now, I can see the New Orleans hurricaine with their "gay days" or whatever it was. That I understand.

Can you at least see how I could be confused?

  • Sorry for these posts…after re-re-re reading the article you referenced to me, Nathan, I've decided I was wrong.

I can see now how God is using weather to send messages to the U.S. over it's actions.

  • President Barack Obama.

Let's change the letters around a bit. Here is what we get instead:

    An Arab Backed Imposter.

I can't wait till you, my American friends, vote this guy out of office in 2012.

  • Well Said, Nathan. I keep trying to say that God placed BHO in office, to accomplish HIS Will, to HIS Glory, but it is a difficult pill to swallow, at times. Keep up the excellent work, being an asset to the Church.

Mitchel, 2012 may well be too late to salvage America, at the pace our way of life is being 'Changed,' and potentially destroyed. Impeachment is a much better answer, but grounds are needed, and very difficult to obtain. BHO's tracks are covered well.
Keep the watch, for Jesus, and a BHO chink in his armor.

  • Do you think it would be wise to move to a country that is pro-Israel such as Canada, to try to escape God's coming wrath on the USA? Or would you consider this a futile move since the Bible states that "all nations" will come against Israel?

  • My friend I dont agree with you because Israel now is not SAME Israel that the bible speaks about. to me Israel is equal to islam you know why because i live in the middle east and I see in my own eye not through media both Israel and Islam are against Christ both of them needs to have a chance to know Christ instead writting what Obama doing to Israel Write how much LORD JESUS LOVES ALL NATIONS IN THE SAME WAY AND DONT WORRY NOTHING WILL HAPPEN TO THE USA cause GOD LOVES USA SAME AS HE LOVES Israel ok thank YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU.

  • Most of what you said in the article Nathan is pretty good. However, I disagree with what you wrote at the end about the storm that came to NJ while Biden was in Israel.
You must be careful not to sound like Pat Robertson in asserting that you know exactly what God was doing.
Anyway, keep up the good work. I enjoy your writing.

  • Anon asks, "Do you think it would be wise to move to a country that is pro-Israel such as Canada, to try to escape God's coming wrath on the USA? Or would you consider this a futile move since the Bible states that "all nations" will come against Israel?"

In my opinion, it is not literally "all" nations on the planet that will come up against Israel, and the Antichrist does not rule the entire literal earth. Here is why I believe this.

Many today believe that when the Antichrist comes on the scene he will be ruling or will soon rule some form of global government. Although there are a few verses that may appear at first glance to give credence to such a notion, we can ascertain that this will in fact not be the case because the whole of Scripture does not support such an idea.

Let's first examine the scope of Antichrist's power by asking the following questions:

    * If Antichrist's rule is literally global, why are other nations waging war against him and why is he himself waging wars? (Dan 11:39-45; 9:26).

    * How can "all" be literally "all" if even one nation — for example Jordan — is able to escape his hand (Dan 11:41)?

    * If Antichrist rules the world, why is he so worried about news coming out of the east and the north (Dan 11:44)?

Many will point to certain verses and take from that the idea that Antichrist literally rules the entire earth, while overlooking many others suggesting that he will not. For example. Here are two verses that are often used to support the "global rule" idea:

Rev 13:8, "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life…"

Zechariah 14:2, "For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished…"

Are these verses referring to the whole planet and to literally all nations in the world? I say no, it does not. To understand why, let's examine the verses below to determine if "all" should always be understood to be universal:

Luke 2:1-3 "And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that ALL THE WORLD should be taxed. (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) And ALL went to be taxed, every one into his own city."

Mark 1:5, "And there went out unto him ALL the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were ALL baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins."

Dan 2:36-38, "This was the dream, and now we will interpret it to the king. You, O king, are the king of kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and power and might and glory; in your hands he has placed mankind and the beasts of the field and the birds of the air. Wherever they live, he has made you ruler over them ALL. You are that head of gold."

Ezra 1:2, "Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, The LORD Elohim of heaven hath given me ALL the kingdoms of the earth;"

Rom 10:18 "But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into ALL THE EARTH, and their words unto the ends of the world."

In light of the verses above let's ask the obvious: Did Caesar literally tax the whole world? Did every last man, woman and child in Judea and Jerusalem get baptized in the Jordan River? Did Nebuchadnezzar or Cyrus literally rule over the entire earth, ruling over the native Indians in North and South America? Was the Gospel preached to the whole literal earth during the lives of the disciples? We know that the answer to each of these questions is no, as the verses above are obvious example of a figure of speech known as a synecdoche which uses a part for the whole, or the whole for a part. This is especially true when we read about kings and their kingdoms, and Antichrist will be no different.

    — Continued

  • Another example is Col 1:23, "If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to EVERY CREATURE WHICH IS UNDER HEAVEN; whereof I Paul am made a minister." We know that Paul did not preach to crickets, frogs and polar bears. It may sound silly to say that, but that would be the logical conclusion we would have to draw if one were not to use common sense and read this verse in a wooden, literal sense.

Many of us may often recognize figures of speech in Scripture such as Col 1:23 above, but then deny that any references to Antichrist could ever be another example of a synecdoche when numerous other verses in Scripture in the context of Antichrist demonstrate it forcefully, notwithstanding the fact that logically Antichrist cannot have global power if he is fighting so many wars until the end.

Let's take a closer look at Rev 13:8 and Zech 14:2 again.

Rev 13:8, "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world."

The Greek word for "earth" in Rev 13:8 is "ge" and this will often be referring to "a country, land enclosed within fixed boundaries, a tract of land, territory, region". How can we know if this is the intended meaning? One clue for us is found in the second part of the very same verse when John writes that those who worship him are those "whose names are not written in the book of life." Here, John directs us to an understanding that it will not be literally all that dwell upon the earth that will worship the Beast. It is, rather, a certain group only. This should also be quite obvious to us when considering the undeniable fact that a great multitude "which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues" will come out of the Great Tribulation (Rev 7:9,14). If they come out of the Great Tribulation, they had to be in it, and while they were in it they did not worship Antichrist.

    — Continued

  • Is there anything else that would point us in the same direction? Let's examine the full counsel of Scripture, starting with Zech 14:2.

Zech 14:2, "For I will gather ALL nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity…"

Who are all the nations? The Hebrew says "goy cabiyb", and this can very easily mean the surrounding Gentiles or the Gentiles round about. Are there any verses in the context of Antichrist and his coalition that specifically state the nations with the Antichrist are only the nations surrounding Israel? Yes.

Zech 14:14 "Judah also will fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the SURROUNDING nations will be gathered, gold and silver and garments in great abundance."

Zech 12:2 "I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the SURROUNDING peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem."

Joel 3:11-12 "Hasten and come, all you SURROUNDING nations, And gather yourselves there. Bring down, O LORD, Your mighty ones. Let the nations be aroused And come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat,For there I will sit to judge All the SURROUNDING nations."

Ezek 28:24-26 "'No longer will the people of Israel have malicious NEIGHBORS who are painful briers and sharp thorns. Then they will know that I am the Sovereign LORD.' This is what the Sovereign LORD says: 'When I gather the people of Israel from the nations where they have been scattered, I will show myself holy among them in the sight of the nations. Then they will live in their own land, which I gave to my servant Jacob. They will live there in safety and will build houses and plant vineyards; they will live in safety when I inflict punishment on all their NEIGHBORS WHO MALIGNED AGAINST THEM. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God.'"

Although the Antichrist will want to rule the earth and force his religion, his ideology, his image of how this world should think and act upon everyone on the planet, he will not be able to do so. Moreover, when Christ returns the Bible lists the nations that He fights against BY NAME. Every nation that is named is today an Islamic nation. I don't believe that Zechariah would claim literally all nations on the planet in 14:2, and then turn around and say just the surrounding nations in verse 14:14.

Logistically, it would be an impossibility for literally every nation on earth to amass troops, tanks, aircraft, personnel carriers, etc. etc. etc. in one Israeli valley. In the context of Zechariah 12 it is quite apparent to me that Zechariah is referring only to the surrounding nations, as he had already wrote about previously in 12:2 and then again later in 14:14. The prophets Joel and Ezekiel confirm this as well. In light of the whole counsel of Scripture the Antichrist's rule and political influence will be relegated to the whole MUSLIM world, but not the world as a whole.

  • Yesterday Obama referenced a prayer given by a Chaplain during WWII. Obama conveniently deleted all references to Jesus Christ.

  • Billy, Why would he (the Obamassiah) want to pay homage to his competition?

The Obamassiah does that a lot. He [mis]quotes people all the time. At the beginning of his "administration" he quoted FDR's famous "We have nothing to fear" speech, but left all the hopeful things FDR said out.

  • Now president "My Muslim Faith" Obama says the U.S. won't use nukes. Not for defense, not if we are attacked by biological or chemical weapons.

This "president" wants this nation destroyed. It looks like the Rapture is coming a lot closer every day because of Obama's actions.

He is setting up this nation to take on the full wrath of God. I'm convinced now that before Russia attacks Israel the U.S. will be nuked. The U.S. will not nuke Russia back. We will be destroyed. However, God will take care of the Russians himself.

Unless Americans kick out Obama and all the left wing radicals (aka Democrats) then this nation is doomed.

It may be too late in any case. It probably is.

If not for the hope of the Rapture I would be in a state of utter depression this day.

  • Be of good cheer brother Billy. Regardless of what happens in this world, we have the blessed hope of eternal life in Jesus Christ.

Titus 1:2, 2:13, 3:7, "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began … Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ… That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life."

Rom 5:3-4;8:35, "And not only [so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope … Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?"

2 Cor 1:3-4, "Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."

John 16:33, "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

Acts 14:22, "Confirming the souls of the disciples, [and] exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God."

  • I thought Obama said he wouldn't nuke countries that didn't have nuclear weapons, other than North Korea and Iran. That'd leave Russia in our targets. He may not have counted the opposite effect this will have on N. Korea and Iran, who will now want even moreso to be able to have a nuke to counter the U.S. Ideologues, what are you gonna do about them.

Mitchell, you CAN write about something else other than dismal Post-Trib counter-arguments. Encouraging, too – way to go, Man! This is a breakthrough. 🙂

  • Nathan says, "Mitchell, you CAN write about something else other than dismal Post-Trib counter-arguments. Encouraging, too – way to go, Man! This is a breakthrough. :)"

Encouraging and comforting one another is something that we should do, and will need to do as brothers and sisters in the Lord, right up until the "glorious appearing" of Christ (Titus 2:13).

I need to point out, though, that this appearing of Jesus Christ in Titus 2:13 (that many still believe to be the "blessed hope" of a pre-trib rapture) is called His "epiphaneia" (G2015) in the Greek text. This is when it takes place:

2 Thess 2:3-4,8 "Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God… And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance [epiphaneia G2015] of his coming."

    It is post-trib only.

2 Tim 4:1, "I charge [thee] therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing [epiphaneia G2015] and his kingdom"

I have to tell it like it is my friends. I love all of you here. Times are going to get rough for many, but don't be discouraged. Be strong in the Lord and keep the faith.

Nathan, Were you wearing your rose-colored glasses again? Everything that Mitchell said was peppered with bold tribulation! But it is nice to see that your hope for his broken record springs eternal…
    …needle static – …shhhhhh tribulation!
    …shhhhhh tribulation!
    …shhhhhh tribulation!
    …shhhhhh tribulation!

  • Ooooo!! I think I just severely dated myself!
Most of these young'uns probably have no idea what a phonograph needle and record are!
And they probably think I just mispelled a bad word too…

    I meant a CD… stuck on the same track…

"In my opinion, it is not literally "all" nations on the planet"

For the most part, I would agree with the overall argument except for a couple of niggling facts.

2000yrs ago there were nations all over the globe that had never heard of Israel so many of the prophecies could not have been fulfilled in the 1st century, but not so in this age!

Every nation of the world now has, AND TAKES the opportunity "to come against Israel" in the UN with their sanctions and votes.

"* If Antichrist's rule is literally global, why are other nations waging war against him and why is he himself waging wars?"

A casual glance at history is enough to answer that. As Dr. Stuart Crane pointed in his classic "Proofs of a Conspiracy", there is no such thing as a true "monarchy". Even the most primitive tribal chief must have his braves to help him maintain his position. Every king has his dukes and vassals, Hitler – his Goerings and Himmlers, and Lenin – his Trotskys and Stalins to help them rule.

So too with the AC. The remaining kings will give their "allegiance" and reign with him 1 "hour". They will accept his global system and their people will accept his "mark". Daniel 2:41-44, Revelation 17:12

But again, a casual glance at the history of conspiracies shows that every "boss" desires to be the "Don", and every "prince" of the Illuminati will seek an opportunity to put a knife in the back of ol' AC if they can. They will rebel and move against him at the appointed time.

  • Christians wake up look around you this israel isnt the same israel that the bible speaks about the real israel that the bible speaks about is now the Church for sure not 2 million jew living in a Piece of land in the middle east. my advice make a DNA test for all the jews in israel and in all the world to make sure that all of them have the DNA of jacob that God called him Israel and then we will see (Pray to Obama so that maybe GOD will change his heart) Bless you all In LORD JESUS NAME

  • Jesussavedme, I'm glad that Jesus saved you and me both.

I have to disagree with your view that Israel becoming a nation again is a huge yet unimportant accident. Throughout the Bible God said He'd return the Jews to the land He promised them (Isa. 11:11-12 for example). Certainly God's not talking here about gathering Christians when He's talking about gathering the exiles of Judah back to their homeland for a second time, right?

Israel has very strict requirements for allowing Jews to become Israeli citizens. Your DNA tests would prove they are indeed descendents of Jacob.

Big things are in store for the nation of Israel. Keep an eye on them – they're God's prophetic timeclock.

  • It’s interesting that people use different arguments and methods to try to remove current Israel from biblical Israel. The DNA argument doesn’t hold water and the argument stating that Israel is now the Church is a prime example of theologically driven exegesis.

  • Nathan I have a question (Does Isreal goverment or the poeple or all the Jews belive in JESUS CHRIST that he died on the cross and rised in third day and that he is the Lord and Savior?)and DO you think that they are the poeple of God? Do you think that they are higher level than Christian in GODs eyes?or Does GOD love them more than other people?
to me as I understand the bible GOD loves every one equaly because this is the true love. what I want to say that people of God in the oldtestament they were like proverb to show us after everything GOD did for them ,they saw in their own eyes how GOD saved them but they went worshipping other gods. many of them tried to become perfect infront of GOD but they failed few of them Succeeded only the ones who saw in the eyes of faith and belived what Jesus did .so the blood of abraham couldnt save them.
to be born as jew or christian or islam is nothing because all of them are equal they are sinners and they'll go to hell if they didn't belive in christ.
the TRUE people of GOD are those who are sons of ibraham in faith not in blood and this faith is to belive in Jesus that he's the Messiah.at the end Jesus will come again at his time and "no one" can make any thing to make HIM come earlier.even if you bring all the jews to Israel.

  • Jesussavedme, how do you explain Israel coming together as a nation again after 1897 years of ceasing to exist, just like God told us would happen in Bible prophecy (Isa. 11:11-12; 66:7-8; Ezek. 37:21-11)?

If Ezekiel 37 was just fulfilled, then Ezekiel 38-39 is next up, when Israel will again nationally acknowledge God once more. A national remnant will next accept Jesus as Savior by the end of the Tribulation.

Why is Israel back? Because God fulfills His promises.

You need to read up on Romans 9-11 again as well as The Error of Replacement Theology.

  • Nathan that was an excellant article. And Yes I do believe that Obama is Muslim to the core. Where is that birth certificate.

  • Nathan….great job explaining what is going on. I would just like to officially go on record as saying that I support Israel…my heart goes out to them….despite what our government is doing. Does God know that? I really want Him to know that I am not a part of what the Obama is doing.
