The Land of Israel: Promise to the Arabs

PDF

Are there promises to the Arabs related to the land of Israel?

As descendants of Abraham’s son, Ishmael, they too have a promise, but it is not a land promise. The covenant God made with Ishmael had to do with the number of his descendants. Ishmael was promised that his descendants would be “multiplied exceedingly” (Genesis 17:20).

God has faithfully kept His promise to the descendants of Ishmael. Today there are 21 Arab states with a combined population of 175 million Arabs. There is only one Jewish state with a population of nearly 6 million. The Arab states contain 5.3 million square miles of oil rich land. Israel has only 8 thousand square miles of land with no major oil reserves that have been discovered, though plenty of natural gas off of the coast. That’s a population ratio of 43 to 1 and a land ratio of 662 to 1!

The Palestinian Claim

But what about the Palestinian people? Don’t they deserve a state? Keep in mind first of all that a Palestinian state never existed prior to this century. From 70 A.D. to 1948 the geographical area known as Palestine was never an independent state nor did the Arabs residing there have any consciousness of themselves as a separate nation of people. They regarded themselves as Syrians. Also, keep in mind that Jerusalem has never served as the capital of any Arab nation, whereas it has been considered the capital of the Jewish people since 1,000 B.C.

Also noteworthy is the fact that when the West Bank and Gaza were under Jordanian autonomy from 1948 to 1967, there was not any effort to create a separate Palestinian state. The PLO was formed during that time, not for the purpose of creating a Palestinian State, but rather for the purpose of exterminating the Jewish state.

Equally important is the fact that a Palestinian state already exists — and it is four times larger than Israel! The Palestinian state is Jordan. In the Balfour Declaration of 1917, the British originally promised all the Palestinian Mandate to the Jews as a national homeland. But in 1922 they broke that promise by using 77% of the Mandate to create the Arab state of Jordan. Today that state’s population is 75% Palestinian.

The True Arab Goal

Then why do the Arabs demand the creation of a Palestinian state within the boundaries of current day Israel? The answer is simple. The real Arab goal is not the establishment of another Palestinian state. The true goal is the destruction of Israel.

In fact, now deceased former PLO leader Yasser Arafat originally spelled out his strategy to the Arab world, and the strategy was adopted officially by the PLO in 1974. It is called “the phased plan.” Realizing that he could not defeat Israel with war or terrorism, he decided that the road to victory was deceptive diplomacy. He would talk about peace in return for land, while rallying the anti-Israeli Western powers to put pressure on the Israeli government to capitulate. Once he got a toe-hold in the land, he would then use that as a base for renewed attacks on Israel. In short, he would take Israel in phases. It is a clever strategy that he spelled out in detail in many public speeches, just as Hitler outlined his strategy in detail in Mein Kampf.

In the next part on this series on the land of Israel, we’ll look at where the world stands on who controls this property.

  • Don't anyone call that little tremor in the east today an "earthquake".

We in California are quite amused at the coverage it is getting.

  • Billy, The coverage is because it shook NYC and Washington DC. Believe me if it had just shook NCarolina or Virginia it would have been ignored. And by the way the Irene Hurricane is going to involve millions it was sidelined for a few hours because DC was shook. Go figure! Good Luck in California, I heard of more fires there, hope it's not bad. God Bless!

  • Dear Nathan

I wrote a question to you 2 days ago. It appears you didn't see it. It was your post of 18 Aug. My question was in reply to the link you gave me. I am keen to know the answer from you. Could you place the answer there, please, rather than here? Thanks. This was my question:

    From Casual Observer
    "Thankyou Nathan for that link.

I think I will rename myself to "not so casual observer".

I have now read your link. I can follow the logic of your list of events. However, I notice something which doesn't quite fit in, unless you can explain it.

I have also read through Ezekiel 36 to 39. Nowhere within these chapters does it mention a Tribulation for Israel. Ezekiel 39:29 and in Ezekiel ch 36 and 37 mentions the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, which seems to link with Zechariah 12 and 13 which coincides with receiving Jesus as the Messiah.

The lead up to that outpouring seems to be linked to a period of ongoing peace after Gog magog war during a period when God makes Himself known. I cannot find any reference to a time of Jacobs trouble during these 7 years within those chapters.

Indeed how could they burn fuel for 7 years if they have to hide in the hills (which is not mentioned in Ezekiel). In fact it seems to say the opposite

This is how it reads in ch 39:

    For example:

    verses 21-22
"I will set My glory among the nations; all the nations shall see My judgment which I have executed, and My hand which I have laid on them. So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day forward"

    and in verses 27-29
"When I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and I am hallowed in them in the sight of many nations, then they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who sent them into captivity among the nations, but also brought them back to their land, and left none of them captive any longer. And I will not hide My face from them anymore; for I shall have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,’ says the Lord GOD.”

If other scripture passages mention that Israel will suffer tribulation during this time (I can't actually find any conclusive passages), why does Ezekiel state there would be peace with God (in the Land) after the Gog war? In fact Zechariah 12 to 13 doesn't mention Tribulation for Israel either.

Isn't it possible that Israel already suffered it by the Nazi's as God's plan to bring them back into the Land?

There are some that say (example Arnold fruchtenbaum) that the purpose of the Tribulation is God judgements against Israel. Are there any clearcut passages that prove this? I ask for clearcut because I notice that Arnold uses vague scripture verses to prove this point.

    Thanks so much."

  • Hello Casual

“There are some that say (example Arnold fruchtenbaum) that the purpose of the Tribulation is God judgements against Israel. Are there any clearcut passages that prove this? I ask for clearcut because I notice that Arnold uses vague scripture verses to prove this point”.

This is a huge Q ! The answer is ‘Yes’ AND to fulfill the Covenant promises to the believing Remnant to bring in the physical Messianic kingdom as well to destroy Gentile rule over the earth …

“Arnold uses vague scripture verses to prove this point…”

If you hope to get a quick understanding from scraps taking AF out of context, it’s not going to happen. Arnold is very ‘Hebrew’ in his writing style; he doesn’t afford us the luxury of a ‘quick fix’; to properly understand you have to follow through systematically.

    I agree with rg. 🙂

  • I will also add that Dr Frucht is way more astute than some of his detractors give him credit for. I attended three of his presentations where he consistently quoted scripture off the top of his head. He also answered some challenging questions with great skill.

He may sometimes appear to make an unsubstantiated statement but you can bet he's got a valid reason for whatever he teaches!

  • I am writing to you from the philippines, I am an expat from Australia, who is called to serve as a stranger in a strange land. Like Moses who called his son Gershom. Lol.
I was reading about the statements regarding the theory of evolution on your web site. I have had a debate with evolutionists and atheist people alike. It is ok to speak openly to them because they are very quick to quote a lot of things, so rather than talking to them regarding scripture as the wall is up and the ears wont listen. Instead I tackled them on their own ground, in other words i probed them for what they really believed in?
I asked only a few questions starting with; do you believe in the spiritual realm? have you ever had an experience with an entity such as a ghost or spirit? Both of these questions had a resounding Yes!
I them asked them another question; Where did this entity come from?
They being very clever people said they came from someone who had died…
So I quickly asked them; If you have seen with your own eyes and have concluded it was from a person who had died, where did this spirit come from? Who created it? Then after giving them food for thought, I explained to them that in Gen1:26 it says" let us make man in our image…" And in John 4:24 it says that God is spirit…
So being clever people you must conclude the real you is the spirit on the inside and not your flesh which you have concluded from appearance came from apes or monkeys. So now you know that the vessel known as your body is not the real you. So the real you (spirit with in) is you! Now by deduction and thinking that thought through to a conclusion. You only have one answer. Because a spirit cannot be evolved from something else!
I hope this will help anyone who can think through to its conclusion.
    Craig
