The Mighty Angels of Daniel 9: Fall of the Antichrist

MP3: The Mighty Angels of Daniel 9 Concluded
Hosts: Nathan Jones & Vic Batista

Fall of the Antichrist

Vic Batista: Let us finally close out our study of Daniel 9 and the Seventieth Week of Daniel prophecy with the last verse 27.

Nathan Jones: The rise, life, and fall of the Antichrist ties together in Daniel 9:27. The chapter ends with hope. As the NIV reads, “And at the Temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured down on him.” God decreed that the Antichrist will lose in the end. Jesus Christ personally defeats him!

Vic Batista: Victory in Jesus Christ! How great it is to read the end of the story. The Antichrist’s fate rests solely in God’s hands. He faces a most bitter end. Revelation 19:20-21 describes how the Antichrist and his False Prophet are “cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone” and his demonic followers “were killed with the sword which proceeded from the mouth of Him who sat on the horse.” The flesh of their corpses fill the carrion birds’ bellies. Satan is thrown into the Pit and can no longer tempt the world.

Nathan Jones: Amen! The forces of good will always defeat the forces of evil. Many will die in the process, but in the end Jesus Christ will be King. King Jesus will set up His Throne in Jerusalem, and we His Saints hall serve our Lord as co-heirs under His promise to rule with Him. How amazing that God so generously shares His power with His children.

Vic Batista: The demise of the arch-fiend — the Antichrist — should leave each believer in Christ with great encouragement. Life can be difficult and challenging, but if you put your trust in Jesus Christ, in the end everything will work out. God really wants people to understand this truth. Seek the Lord deeper, just like Daniel did, and all God desires for us to know will be revealed.

Today Is the Day of Salvation

Vic Batista: Hear the Word of the Lord! Today is far better as your day of salvation that waiting for tomorrow. Only today, out of so many centuries of religious persecution, can so many people put their trust in Jesus Christ without expecting to be slaughtered for doing so. Should the Rapture of the Church occur right now, all Christians would ascend to Heaven to dwell with our Heavenly Father forever. Clearly, nobody should miss today’s opportunity to have a saving relationship with the Lord by putting it off until the Tribulation.

Nathan Jones: God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16 remains one of the most famous verses in all of the Bible for a reason. The verse proves that God loves those He created. To think that God loves us so much that He sent His one and only Son to die on the cross so that He could take our punishment upon Himself. What love!

When we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, the punishment for our rebelliousness and sins against God transfers off of us and onto Jesus Christ. Victoriously Jesus defeated our death sentence by resurrecting Himself back to life again. Our victory over sin intertwines with Christ’s own victory over death when we put our faith and trust in Jesus.

For those who have not yet accepted Jesus as their Savior and wish to do so, pray right now from your heart something like, “Dear, Jesus, please forgive me of my sins and be my Lord and Savior.” And Jesus promises to do just that. He will forgive you of your sins. He will remove the guilt. And you will inherit the wondrous promise of eternal life with our Heavenly Father.

In the thirty-second segment of this series on the mighty angels of Daniel, we’ll delve into the glorious visions contained in chapter 10.
