Billy Crone Lists Some Zany False Messiahs

Billy Crone on the Signs of the Times

What are some of the zanier examples of modern-day false messiahs?

To answer this and many other questions concerning Bible prophecy, Dr. David Reagan and I invited as a special guest on our television program Christ in Prophecy Billy Crone, pastor of a Las Vegas, Nevada church and founder of Get A Life Ministries. Pastor Crone is a very knowledgeable, articulate, and passionate proclaimer of God’s Prophetic Word. He answered our questions based on his latest book The Final Countdown. This book presents a survey of the signs of the times that point to the fact that we are living in the season of the Lord’s soon return.

Zany False Messiahs

Dr. Reagan: Billy, in your book, one of the “Big Signs” you wrote about concerns the rise of falsehood in the end times. Please tell us about this sign, listing some of the craziest false messiahs out there today.

Billy Crone: Look to what Jesus taught in Matthew 24. The very first sign out of His mouth before He talks about wars, rumors of wars, famines, earthquakes, pestilence, and other disasters, the first thing out of His mouth concerned a rise in false teachers and false christs. He warned, “Listen! Watch out for them.”

When Jesus’ disciples asked, “How do we know the end of the age is getting close?”, Jesus answered with the only sign He repeated three times. He warned them to watch out that no one deceives you. There are going to be false christs. There are going to be false prophets and false teachers. False christs will be all over the place in the last days.

Dr. Reagan: One of the things that really impressed me in reading your book is that in each chapter when you teach about a particular sign you give all the biblical references for that sign. Plus, you also give modern day news references that are documented in detail showing that the fulfillment of these end times signs are developing in the trends that are going on right now. You put a lot of research into your book.

Billy Crone: Well, you know, we pastors can’t sit around drinking ice tea and staring at the walls all day long. I had to do something to justify my church salary.

Nathan Jones: Billy, you pack so much Bible prophecy in your book. You wrote nearly 300 pages and are planning on writing a Volume 2 and Volume 3?

Billy Crone: We’ll see how far the series goes. I’m just getting started. I performed all that research for what I call the Skeptic Effect. For them I list so many current events and cover what’s going on from a prophetic perspective.

Along with the book you can also get an additional video. The video version will benefit you because, for example, it’s not just here’s what the United Nations said, you’ll watch the actual video clip. It’s not just, “Here’s what this leader in Russia said.” No, you get to see the actual news clip. The video provides an extra benefit.

The book certainly covers current events. It’s not just what the Bible says, but also here’s what going on right now today in fulfillment of that prophecy.

Circling back to false christs, they’re out there all over the planet in every sector of society. I just go right down the list with them.

Of course, one of the biggest false messiahs that’s been around for a long time, though he recently passed away, and unfortunately now he knows better, is Sun Myung Moon. He claimed to be the Messiah. And, do you know what else is freaky? You can actually find this recorded in secular information, is that he didn’t just claim that he was the Messiah, but he even said that Jesus follows Him, if you can believe that. One of our own U.S. Senate buildings actually held a celebratory crowning of Moon as the Messiah, right there in a Senate building!

Dr. Reagan: When I first heard that happened I couldn’t believe it, but I later found the story on the Internet and watched the video of the ceremony.

Billy Crone: It’s all there recorded in secular information. It is not that I got the story from joeschmo.com. No, this is actual, legitimate information.

But, these stories aren’t isolated; they are literally popping up all over the place. These liars claiming to be Jesus are popping up all over the planet, just like Jesus warned about.

Another example, we’ve got Jesus from Siberia, who is Russia’s version of Christ, going around claiming to be divine. Of course he’s dressed like Jesus, therefore he’s got to be the “real” Jesus, right. His followers report, “I was in his presence and I felt this tingling like an electrical shock.”

Nathan Jones: Rather like what Chris Matthews said of Candidate Barack Obama at one time, when he was courted by the Democratic party as a type of messiah.

Billy Crone: Get your finger away from the electrical socket, because Obama’s not Jesus!

I couldn’t believe this story of a false messiah. There’s a guy going around Pennsylvania claiming to be Jesus. He is wearing the “Jesus look,” if you will. His name is literally What’s Your Name. People ask him, “What do you mean by what’s your name?” Every time they ask him what’s his name, he responds with, “What’s Your Name.” I call him the annoying version of the Messiah.

Another false prophet’s named A.J. Miller. He traipses around the country, even showing up in Dallas at a conference. His girlfriend claims she’s supposedly Mary Magdalene. People are actually paying to see him in person. He’s traveled all over the world claiming to be Jesus, though Australia’s A.J. Miller’s home base.

Yet another false messiah hails from England and goes by the name of Shaylor. He’s a former British Secret Service Agent MI5 guy. Obviously not Jesus, of course, he even claims he possesses supernatural powers and that he’s able to use his powers to change the results of, get this, football games. I’m not kidding! He actually claimed that he learned that his powers do not work unless he’s drunk.
