Globalism Rising!

Should the world fear moving towards a global government?

Nathan Jones: We posed this question to Bible prophecy expert Jeff Kinley of Main Things Ministries. Jeff hosts the television programs “Jeff Kinley Live” and “The King Is Coming” and co-hosts the Prophecy Pros Podcast.

The Rise of Globalism

Tim Moore: Living in this current culture, a lot of Christians want to know, what exactly is the greatest prophetic sign that points to the soon return of Jesus Christ?

Jeff Kinley: I believe we are living in the era of globalism coming of age. The Bible says that in the last days, there’s going to be a one-world government headed up by the Antichrist. This will be in fulfillment of Satan’s long ambition that he’s held for over 6,000 years to be in charge of the entire earth.

We know according to Bible prophecy that’s exactly what will happen. The rise of technology, the way the world has shrunk due to communications, governments cooperating over global crises, and the nations laying aside their nationalist rights to join together more as one — that’s all pushing towards globalism.

We’re seeing globalism being championed by the World Economic Forum, the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and the G20 nations. These organizations are all coming together and pushing the nations towards uniting under one overarching government.

Isn’t it interesting that the world is getting on board with the pre-scripted prophecies that God has foretold in His Word?

We saw how the COVID-19 pandemic got the whole world talking about one thing. We’ve never had that before in human history, where literally every nation to every neighborhood was talking about one single subject. The pandemic made globalism much easier for the Antichrist’s kingdom to happen. Global crisis brings about chaos, and chaos causes people to demand peace and calm by their governments. The endgame for controlled global crises is all about control by a one-world government.

Tim Moore: What’s crazy is how some people who consider themselves liberals, which in a classic sense would have meant they they were for individual liberty, are now praising the Chinese communist government for its ability to control its people. They celebrate how the Chinese government has enacted “protections” that squelch individual rights. In truth, Communist governments really are only ever looking out for keeping their statist power. They believe we need more of that kind of controlled government in our own country and over other democracies around the world. How China handled the pandemic was a crises that only fed into that globalist mentality.

Jeff Kinley: It really did. In fact, Klaus Schwab, who has been the head of the World Economic Forum, has been called a fanboy of China. He loves the way that China controls its people. China makes their people servile. Schwab’s son is even the head of the field office there for the WEF in China.

I read there are over 100 million cameras in China! The social credit score China assigns to each of its citizens regulates how many privileges and restrictions each person is granted, all based on their behavior and loyalty to the state. Our own country is moving towards enacting a social credit score, though in different ways. All that to say is that people are looking to China as the model of how to properly run a country. And of course, the more control you have over a populace, the more you become dictatorial.

The executive orders that the Biden administration has been mandating so enthusiastically are really quite frightening. They prove how globalism has been seeping into many once-democratic governments as their leaders desire to shift their countries to act more like China and then unite them on a global scale.

Overcoming the Objections of Nationalists

Nathan Jones: President Xi in China and President Putin in Russia have claimed the war in Ukraine is actually a war against the globalist West. So, it looks like both China and Russia are trying to buck the growing globalist system by becoming more ultra-nationalistic. Therefore, where does nationalism fit into end-time Bible prophecy? If the whole world is moving towards globalism then what do we do about these rogue superpowers?

Jeff Kinley: According to Ezekiel 38-39, Scripture says that Russia will move south in the latter days when Israel is living securely. God will set a hook in Russia’s jaw and bring Russia down to invade Israel. But, here’s the thing. Those Islamic nations that ally themselves with Russia as part of that great Gog-Magog War, well God is going to annihilate the armies of those invading nations.

The nearly total destruction of Russia and Islam need to happen for the Antichrist to be able to take charge. Once the Russian army is annihilated, which I believe coincidentally enough includes many of the invading Islamic nations, that may grant Israel the opportunity to rebuild their temple on the Temple Mount. If the Islamic forces were wiped away by God’s intervention in the Gog-Magog War, and this war occurred somewhere around the Rapture, then only the European Union would remain the sole superpower. When the Antichrist rises out of Europe, his peace covenant could include Israel being free to rebuild the Temple on the Temple Mount.

So, all of these prophecies dovetail together like pieces to a jigsaw puzzle. Like any puzzle, you don’t really see how the pieces all fit together. But, as we go forward in time, it’s like we get more and more pieces — more prophetic knowledge — and so more clarity about how these prophesied events could shape up.

The Birth Pangs

Tim Moore: So many of the end times signs that we’ve been watching are starting to come together and converge. The signs of the end times are converging in a way that has not been seen for 2,000 years.

For instance, Israel is a nation once more and is now on the scene. Israel is surrounded by hostile nations. The Gentile nations are trying to bring about a one-world government, just as Scripture foretold. Technology is allowing the ability for governments to control their citizens. We’re seeing, even in our country, a devolution from Judeo-Christian values in favor of Secularism. All of these signs are happening at an accelerating pace and are converging into one big super sign.

Jeff Kinley: The key word here is accelerating. Remember how Jesus talked about birth pangs in Matthew 24? He was prophesying what would happen during the Tribulation period in that chapter. As we all know, birth pangs increase in frequency and intensity the closer one gets to the birth. Right now we are on the other side of the Tribulation. We’re not quite yet there. But, we are still seeing this rapid acceleration of all these end times signs coming together that point to the nearness of the Rapture followed by the Tribulation.

Tim Moore: Jeff, you teach that there are different kinds of birth pangs that happen before the birth. What are the false birth pangs called?

Jeff Kinley: Braxton Hicks contractions. Yes, our wives certainly know about those. Braxton Hicks contractions feel like the real thing but they are not. They cause many people to head to the hospital believing the baby is at last coming. But, the doctor tells them that, no, these are not the real contractions. The real ones are going to come later.

When it comes to the Braxton Hicks contractions analogy, right now we are not going through the actual birth pangs. The birth pangs, or signs, of Matthew 24 and Revelation 6-19 that Jesus prophesied, point to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. The Braxton Hicks pangs point to Rapture of the Church before the Tribulation begins. We here in this Church Age are feeling those right now. But, you can’t have Braxton Hicks unless you’re actually pregnant and are going to have a baby, so the mother-to-be is getting close to the birth, likely in the late-second or third trimester.

The Two-Minute Warning

Jeff Kinley: The birth pangs analogy is used to point to the fact that we are living in the last days. We don’t know how late we are in the birthing process, but the baby is coming soon. The apostle John declared in 1 John 2:18, “Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.” I don’t know if we are ticking to the very last seconds or not, but knowing the Lord is indeed coming soon does provide Christians with a sense of expectancy for the Lord’s soon return.

It also gives us a sense of what I call Purposeful Urgency. It’s not panic. We’re not running around like Chicken Little. Rather, we possess a sense of, “I’ve got to get this done!” Think, “It’s the two-minute warning. It’s late in the fourth quarter. We need to win this game!”

Tim Moore: What should Christians be doing if we really are at that two-minute warning? Now’s the time to us to get serious about doing what’s right, correct?

Jeff Kinley: Three things Christians should be doing while we wait for the return of Jesus Christ. First of all, for the believers out there — wake up. Jesus called to the Church of Sardis to wake up. They thought they were alive, but they were not. “Wake up! See who I am,” is what Christ calls Christians to do.

The second thing we should do is — stand up. Stand up to this pagan culture! This culture needs salt and light to see Christ. Christians are the restraining influence holding that great tide of evil at bay. If we don’t stand up now then the world is not going to know the difference between right and wrong.

So wake up, stand up, and finally — speak up. Speak up for the Gospel of Jesus Christ! Tell people about how our wonderful Savior can forgive us of our sins. Only Jesus Christ can make a sinner brand new on the inside. Only Jesus Christ can grant us an eternal destiny and hope for the future. That’s the good news that we as Christians need to speak up about.

Tim Moore: Good points, Jeff! Are we waking up, speaking up, and standing up for righteousness and being lights to our culture in our day and age? That is the Christians’ calling.

Nathan Jones: This lost world should fear the rise in globalism. Its institution means the world’s inevitable enslavement and death. But, for the Christian, we don’t fear the Antichrist, because we know from the signs of the end times that Jesus Christ is coming. Our Lord will soon call His children to “Come up here,” and we shall dwell with our Savior forever. For those who have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord, now’s the time. Do not delay! The King is coming soon.

  • If Russia, Iran, Turkey and most of the Islamic nations are destroyed, and it is obvious to Israel that it was God who destroyed them, then please explain to me why Israel would need the 10 nation European government (I didn’t say EU as it may not necessarily still exist then) to grant permission for the rebuilding of the Temple? I think Israel does what it wants right now if it feels it is in their best interest so how much more would it do what it wants then knowing God just stepped in and destroyed their enemies? This is why I think it was correct for Mr. Kinley to say “his peace covenant COULD include Israel being free to rebuild the Temple” and not WILL include. So I don’t think rebuilding the Temple will be the motive for the signing of the treaty.

So, would the motive for Israel to sign be out of fear that the antichrist may invade? Relying on memory right now I belive it will be said of the anitchrist “who is like the beast and who is able to make war with him”. So the threat of war and invasion will be real. But I don’t think fear of the beast or war will be the motive for Israel but rather the desire for peace at last. They will know God has just saved them but that doesn’t mean they would therefore desire further war or wars. Israel has always wanted to just exist peacefully so I think that will be the simple motive. Not fear but just a desire to live in true peace for a change. Unfortunately we know how that will turn out. (Just some food for thought…not saying I’m right).

    • I wonder if the Antichrist’s treaty isn’t necessarily to protect Israel but to protect himself from the God who defends Israel to buy him time to conquer the rest of the world before turning his sights back on Israel at the midpoint of the Tribulation.

  • Nathan, or should I say “Dr. Jones” (though I always get a smile/grin when I hear that becasue of “Indy”.

Thank you for keeping the blog up and running (the original L&L discussion platform before Facebook). I quit Facebook a while ago because it is just another evil liberal platform and I couldn’t stand to be a part of it anymore. So thankfully I can still follow and comment on this blog. My wish is that someday in some way L&L would be able to…I was going to say “transition” but that word disgusts me now…let’s see, would be able to transfer the Facebook group to a different platform or even create it’s own type of version of FB.

If that would require lots of money perhaps supporters of L&L would be willing to donate to make that a reality. Or perhaps it could be more easily done just with a simple discussion board option on this blog like you see on site like Steam so users can contribute like on FB. I admit I have no serious knowledge on how a website like this operates so my comment may be ignorant and therefore without merit.

      • Yes…FB is my ‘go-to’ for keeping in touch with family and friends, plus often one can find useful websites through it (if one is careful), although I get your posts through email, having signed up. Whilst FB is not always the best place and one has to be careful of scammers , false information and whatever, it still, I believe, is very useful. One can have conversations/discussions with believers and non-believers via this medium, people one doesn’t actually know….and hopefully, even in a small way, advance the KIngdom or make people think about the claims of Christ.

  • We are seeing the signs that Jesus predicted in Matthew 24: 3-15. The redeemer is nearer than ever before. We are to war valiantly, put away old habits. Paul said, “The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.” Romans 13:12. Paul warned us not to get caught up in the world; instead, we are to lay aside any distractions and put on His light so we are ready for His return. We can see evil all around us more and more. Romans 13:13 Paul says Don’t do these things. (Your strategy to stay above the depravity.) Stay away from Public disgrace, revelry, drunkenness, and lewdness, lust, strife, and envy. All of them are understood to be sins of the night and opposed to what you are as a Christian, Christians need to live for God, not the world. The lawlessness increases as the Man of Lawlessness, the Antichrist, gets closer to coming on the scene, and he will have those who work with him. He will be the ultimate deceiver. Hardly a day goes by when we don’t read about wars, rumors of wars, natural disasters, violence, corruption, and lawlessness, so great as to look like the Days of Noah. Jesus said these events would be the signs that his return was on the horizon. Don’t set yourself up for failure by staying in an environment that encourages you do to wrong. The era we are in is going to be the Era of the Coming of the Lord.

  • According to God’s word, the end of the age will be characterized by a global government, economy, and religion ruled over by one man, the Antichrist. This end-time world order is described clearly in Revelation 13. Satan will be the Master globalist. The world is being irresistibly drawn together as a result of modern technology, instant communications, worldwide travel, and ubiquitous weapons of mass destruction. Many global conspiracies are taking place behind the International scenes pulling the strings.

1 Timothy 4:1 says “but the spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrine of demons.” The time frame of when this apostasy will occur is defined as “later times.”

The runaway inflation is another sign. Revelation 6:5 The rider on the black horse in Revelation 6:5 is carefully weighing food on scales used to weigh food. John is mesmerized by the black horse and the rider with scales in his hand, he suddenly hears an unidentified voice coming from “the center of the four living creatures saying, “A Quart of wheat for a denarius and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil, and the wine”. Revelation 6:6.

The Tribulation period is coming. A denarius is a silver coin equal to the average day’s wages for a working man. A measure or “quart” of grain isn the first century was equal to slightly less than our modern quart. This indicates that the purchasing power of a denarius will drop far below what is normal.. The World will experience run away inflation. Food prices will be so high that it will take everything a person can earn just to buy enough food for one meal.

Some knowledgeable people believe the person who is speaking is Jesus, the Lamb. The voice of God. After all, He is the one who is opening the seals that bring forth the Judgment if the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. Revelation 6:1-8. This is the Tribulation period, but we are seeing signs of these things happening right now. God’s word will tell us what is to come, past, present, and future.

  • I said in a previous comment “…I don’t think fear of the beast or war will be the motive for Israel but rather the desire for peace at last. They will know God has just saved them but that doesn’t mean they would therefore desire further war or wars. Israel has always wanted to just exist peacefully so I think that will be the simple motive. Not fear but just a desire to live in true peace for a change.”

After the murder of the six hostages in Israel by Hamas and then seeing the protests in Israel and the masses calling for a peace treaty to be signed I have changed my opinion.

I think it IS possible Israel may also act from blind stupidity when it comes to signing a treaty with anyone. I don’t say this of Netanyahu, hopefuly…we’ll see, but mainly as a label of the misplaced thoughts of the willingness of the Israeli people to act out of mournful desperation to gain an immediate desired result at the expense of their own future safety. They would give in to evil now and naively believe evil will cooperate and not pursue further terror against the Jews.

Pray for peace in Israel which is to pray for the return of Jesus Christ for only then will real and forever lasting peace reign on Earth.
