Israel Finds Another Mother Lode

PDF

Israel has found yet another massive deposit of natural gas, this time 37 miles off the coast of the Israeli city of Hadera.

As reported in Israel Finds the Mother Lode in January 21, 2009, Israel this year had already discovered only 56 miles west of the northern port of Haifa an estimated 3 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in three enormous underwater gas reservoirs, with that estimate continuing to grow as the gas deposit is explored. Israel Today in their March 29, 2009 article “More natural gas discovered off Israeli coast” reports that this new Hadera gas find could, as one of Israel’s Noble’s Energy partners claims, “be the largest natural gas find in history, and would transform the Israeli economy for the better for decades to come.” What this means for Israel is that they will no longer be dependent on any other nation for its natural gas needs, and instead Israel will become a major natural gas exporter for the region, rivaling even Russia’s exports.

What will this amazing predicament mean in the unfolding scheme of Bible prophecy?

Israel is now an even hotter commodity than it already has been. Besides the world wanting control of Jerusalem for its religious importance (a fulfillment of Zechariah 12:1-3) and their hostile Arab neighbors coveting the financial importance of Israel’s newly restored and agriculturally bountiful land, now these massive gas deposit finds will indeed make Israel a very rich country.

Israel’s wealth as recorded in Ezekiel 38:7-13 is the main motivator for the armies of God and Magog, known today as Russia and Iran, to invade Israel in its desire to seize their wealth.

“‘Get ready; be prepared, you and all the hordes gathered about you, and take command of them. After many days you will be called to arms. In future years you will invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate. They had been brought out from the nations, and now all of them live in safety. You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land.

This is what the Sovereign LORD says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. You will say, “I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people—all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land.” Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all her villages will say to you, “Have you come to plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods and to seize much plunder?'”

Israel continues to get a whole lot more valuable to the world, and it won’t be too long before some nations try to take that value for themselves. As Ezekiel 38:17-23 prophesies, God has other more final plans for the invaders.

  • again the question begs to be asked “will i be able to fill my tank for less?”. with this find plus the result of the psalm 83 war wont they control most of the worlds oil and thus the economy? and furthermore wont this provoke the psalm 83 war as well as Gog/Magog war?

  • Hartdawg,

Yes, it does paint a picture that Israel will become an economic superpower – moreso than the oil producing Arab states have ever been.

But in the aftermath of Ez 38/39 the conditions will have been metfor the rise of the Antichrist, and we all know what his global economic power will entail.

  • frankly i dont see anything keeping the war of psalm 83 from occuring right now do you? or the rapture for that matter. perhaps the restrainer is the ONLY thing keeping it from occuring right now. (thats if the rapture is before the psalm 83 war)

  • hartdawg,

I don’t think something is keeping the Psalm 83 war from happening. I think Pslam 83 has been a prophecy in the process of total fulfillment since late November 1947.

Here is the central thesis of my three-part article entitled “The Prophetic Road to Revelation.”

    The prophecy of Pslam 83:

    A.) has been in the active process of fulfillment since late-November 1947 when the core of Arab nations identified by Asaph first confederated to destroy Israel;

    B.) points out that every war between Israel and the Arabs since 1947-49 has been a continuation of the attempt by the identified Arab nations to achieve the goals of 1947-49 war;

    C) makes the case that the final phase of this war is being prepared for launch right now and will result the near-term final fulfillment of the Psalm 83 prophecy.

    Part I

    Part II

    Part III

The Harpazo(Rapture) could occur at any moment – the only thing preventing it is the determination of the father to send His Son for His bride. I also believe the Holy Spirit will remain on the earth until the Abomination of Desolation occurs.

The “desolation” might well be the removal of the Holy Spirit from this earth due to that Abomination statue or image of the beast stood up in the Temple, and which is made to speak blasphemous things against the Most High God by a demonic spirit.

  • He made him ride on the high places of the earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock; – Deuteronomy 32:13

And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. – Deuteronomy 33:24

And of Joseph [Manasseh] he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath… – Deuteronomy 33:13

And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph [Manasseh], and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. – Deuteronomy 33:16

If you look at a map of the 12 Tribes of Israel, you see that the land of Asher looks as if it’s dipping a foot and toes into the top (the head) of Manasseh.

Haifa, in modern day Israel, is on the west coast of, you guessed it, Manasseh. This was prophesied by Moses thousands of years ago. Don’t be shocked if very, very soon Israel strikes oil near the Kishon river.

  • Why haven’t these discoveries made international news? The rest of the world is going into financial ruin but Israel finds wealth; only God can do that!

  • These things don’t make national news because that would validate Israel’s claim to the land.

And, yes, only the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, YHWH, could do that.

    Amen and hallelujah!!!

  • is the location of these resevoirs in the area that isreal is pressured to give up? sean, i am not so sure i agree that the holy spirit is removed from the earth in the middle of the tribulation, i say this cuz in rev 14 we see an angel proclaiming the everlasting gospel. although most will not repent i believe it is a merciful God giving rebellious man one final oppertunity to repent. that is the last time the gospel is preached.

  • These things also don’t make news because some people would say, hey, maybe the Arabs just want the wealth that the Jews have found. The media must continue the false profile of the poor Palestinians oppressed by the evil Jews…

  • Hartdawg, of course this is in the disputed areas. Remember, the Arabs want ALL of the land ultimately.

The funny thing is, they didn’t even want the land before May 1948. Now they’ll want it more than ever.

Now, more than ever, we need to pray for Israel.

  • I read back in January that as soon as Israel announced the find, Lebanon and Turkey disputed that the territory was Israels. Of course, the “Palestinians” have said it’s their find, along with the land.

You’re right, though, I spent awhile looking at articles on the gas finds, and only find it reported in conservative, energy, geology, and Israeli news sites. Even the BBC, which reports on everything imaginable, isn’t reporting on this. Odd in so many ways.

  • Sal’s right. I Googled natural gas discoveries in Israel, and aside from Fox News Business, the first American paper to report was a Tampa Bay, FLorida paper.

If this find makes the news, then people will become very pro-Israel very fast, and the liberal media just can’t allow that. They will not report on this until the whole world knows and they can spin it somehow to favor the enemies of God and Israel.
