Proclaiming an Urgent Message

PDF

Jesus is Coming soon! I have been preaching that message for 31 years ever since I gave up my academic career in 1980 and stepped out in faith to form Lamb & Lion Ministries. At the time, I had become overwhelmed by the Signs of the Times that seem to be shouting from the heavens that Jesus is coming soon. I felt an urgency to proclaim that message to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible.

During the first seven years of the ministry I often felt a sense of frustration. My outreach was limited to a handful of radio stations, meetings at churches, and audio tapes.

The first breakthrough in reaching a mass audience came with the publication of two books in 1987 and the production of a video program that same year about Israel in Bible prophecy. Still, the outreach was greatly limited. Then, in 1995 I was introduced to the Internet and discovered to my amazement that I could reach the whole world through it.

The next great breakthrough occurred in 2002 when our Board of Trustees decided to switch our media outreach from radio to television. At the time, I had no inkling of what an important decision that would prove to be.

Today, 9 years later, our TV program is being broadcast over five national Christian networks that have access to more than 80 million homes in the United States. And through the satellites of two of those networks, we can reach every country in the world.

Additionally, we decided in 2007 to hire a full time Web Minister, Nathan Jones, to make our website interactive and thus responsive on a daily basis to inquiries from all over the world.

In short, after a slow start, God has provided us with a worldwide outreach that far exceeds anything I ever anticipated. And as I look back now on those “slow years,” I can see that God used them to develop my message and to shape me as a messenger.

Signs of the Times

People often ask if I have become tired of proclaiming the same message for so long. The answer is an emphatic “NO!” And that’s because the Signs of the Times are even more urgent today than when I began.

Take Israel, for example. There are many prophecies regarding Israel in the end times, many of which are being fulfilled today before our eyes. The four most important are:

  1. The regathering of the Jews in unbelief. This started in the early 20th Century when there were only 40,000 Jews in Israel. Today there are almost six million who have returned from over 100 nations.
  2. The re-establishment of the state of Israel — accomplished on May 14, 1948.
  3. The re-occupation of the city of Jerusalem — accomplished on June 7, 1967.
  4. All the nations of the world coming against Israel — happening now.

We are on the threshold of the Tribulation when God will pour out His wrath on all the rebellious nations of the world. Fortunately for all of us, God never pours out His wrath without warning because He does not wish that any should perish.

The time is short, and I will continue to proclaim the soon return of Jesus as long as I have breath. Victory is on the horizon. And I can hardly wait.

Maranatha!

  • Keep it up! Knowing, talking to, and serving the Lord Jesus has me increasingly aware that He is coming soon—as you proclaim. I was surprised it didn't happen this September. But then God is subtle. The "church" didn't figure it out the first time He came, why should I think it will this time?

Your program is a blessing to me and my wife. With no church in our area/city of 100,000 people preaching the Gospel in power, programs like yours are a great encouragement.

  • Sign of Jesus imminent return.

UNESCO has given the Palis' full membership. Israel says it is a tragedy.

At least the USA voted against; unlike the UK who abstained! Looks like we are in for a sticky time here in the UK.

UNESCO is the first U.N. agency the Palestinians have joined as a full member since President Mahmoud Abbas applied for full membership of the United Nations on September 23.
The United States, Canada, Germany and Holland voted against Palestinian membership. Brazil, Russia, China, India, South Africa and France voted in favour. Britain and Italy abstained.

  • Hello Nathan

I voted ‘unknown’ on the ‘who are the two witnesses’ poll; but I do quite fancy the idea of Reagan and Jones. 😀

As Elijah is coming BEFORE the Trib; I wonder if we will still be around to see him? Wouldn’t it be great if he had a word or three to say about Emergent!!!

As always – I live in Hope!
    God bless Lamb & Lion!

  • David, so good to hear the ministry and message has been a blessing to you!

Sue, interesting that 52 nations abstained – spineless cowards. Who does UNESCO think they are anyway? That'd be like saying the local high school glee club voted to make Palestine an official member. Like that gives the Palestinians some kind of official status or something. Anti-semitism is back to the level of the 1930s.

  • If you think about it, it's kind of a interesting tactic. Instead of asking the whole UN the Palestinians are just going from group to group within the UN. They are doing to the UN what they are doing in Israel. Little by little. Kinda like Satan. If he can't get you to do a big sin he will take you to Hell one step at a time. DianefromKY

  • By the way…noboby give Obama "credit" for the U.S. action of defunding. I heard on FOX News it was CONGRESSIONAL action that was already in place that required the defunding…not one of President Obama Palpatine's Executive Orders.

Barak HUSSEIN Obama is an enemy of Israel. God help Israel if he is re-elected.

  • I can agree fully that the the hour is late yet Israel is not yet in position to assume the mantle that will be passed at our exit. It is rather ominous that the Al Qaeda flag is present in Libya. What many fail to understand is the roots of a dark plan to reshape the Middle East.

The United States and N.A.T.O. have found an alliance with the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda. Their mission is regime change all over the Middle East, to install a powerful Islamic Caliphate governd by Shariah Law. The question is what can the West gain from such a plan, is it mere appeasement or something more sinister.

It is my opinion that this strategic endeavor by the U.S. and N.A.T.O. will be used to foment a regional conflict between Israel and her Arab/Islamic enemies. The plan is to allow them to destroy each other, once the smoke clears, then the West will abrubtly move in to capture the regions resources.

Before you say that this is farfetched or delusional statement, consider the response of the West during the Gog/Magog battle of Ezekiel 38-39. Though the West identifies the alliance assemble to strike, they offer no military assistance to Israel, only providing a diplomatic protest.

When you examine this, you can then see clearly the justification for the Lord God sending fire from heaven on a careless West during the aftermath of this battle. I believe however that the plan of the West will backfire with Russian intervention concerning Syria resulting in a cascade of prophetic fulfillment.

  • Regarding the Two Witnesses of Reveation 11, I have posted on this previously indicating that they can be none of the Old Testament Saints. My reasoning behind this it that Moses died and was buried by the hand of the Lor God, Enoch and Elijah were translated, for no flesh could enter into the presence of the Lord God in Heaven.

Hebrews 11:5 documents the translation of Enoch, "By faith Enoch was translated that he should no see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God". Elijah was also taken up to heaven bodily yet translated or changed much as believers alive during the Rapture will experience (see 1 Corithians 15:53).

In simple terms then we find that Enoch and Elijah were then changed from corruptible mortal bodies, to that of incorruptible immortal bodies. Moses died and was buried Malachi 4:4 identifies with Israel being instructed to remember the Law of Moses indicating further that Moses would not be reanimated.

If Enoch and Elijah now possess immortal bodies and Moses remains in the grave, we can then recognize that Revelation 11:7 would be an impossibility. For if the AntiChrist is to kill the Two Witnesses, they would have to be living and in possession of mortal bodies. This clearly excludes the Old Testament Saints, it appears these Two Witnesses are alive today and even among us, yet their appointed time has no arrived.

  • May the Lord bless Dr. Reagan and Nathan Jones for their earnest zeal to carry the message of the Gospel to so many and encourage new converts to learn and understand Bible Prophecy. May the Lord God grant them endurance for the remainder of their perspective race, for the finish line is yet right before us all!

  • I hate to admit this but I knew who Reagan was but couldn't figure out who this Jones guy was.

Then I read Rodney's post above, saw the name Nathan JONES and couldn't believe I didn't put 2 and 2 together and get 4.

Nathan JONES! Of course! I guess I'm just used to calling you Nathan, Mr. Jones. How embarrasing!

  • Rodney,

While I don't rule out anyone for the two witnesses so I chose I don't know.

I know they have to die. So they have to be mortal. Could Elijah still be in a mortal body? Could they be put back into mortal bodies for this mission? Are the witnesses as of yet unknown modern day Biblical figures?

Guess we'll have to wait to find out for sure.

  • Rodney said "It is my opinion that this strategic endeavor by the U.S. and N.A.T.O. will be used to foment a regional conflict between Israel and her Arab/Islamic enemies. Sorry but that just doesn't make sense to me. I can't buy that scenario.

  • Perhaps E.I. and Billy there are several reason you may not buy into the scenario I have laid out, yet with little research you will also come to the conclusion that this "Arab Spring" was conducted and coordinated by Western Intelligence agencies. A simple Google search will also identify that the U.S. and N.A.T.O. have allied themselves with Al Qaeda and the Muslim brotherhood in both the Egyptian and Libyan operation.

  • Hello Rodney

It isn’t that I haven’t heard of your expressed view on the Arab Spring with US involvement. I read the same idea online via the communist Russian TV; my reaction was the same “Ah but YOU don’t know The Bible.”

I have found it most interesting that by your own studies, you have come up with the same scenario as the communists. For that reason alone, I definitely don’t buy it with either £, €, $ or the Temple Shekel. 😉

  • Rodney: "…Moses died and was buried…"

Yes, so that rules out Moses, but you make some assumptions concerning Enoch and Elijah, which are not backed up by Scripture.

1st of all, you have stated here and on previous occasions that Enoch and "…Elijah was also taken up to heaven bodily yet translated or changed much as believers alive during the Rapture will experience…"

No OT saints were taken to Heaven, rather their "spirits" were in the paradise section of Sheol prior to the Resurrection of Jesus, and then taken to Heaven.

The 2ndly, your assumption diminishes the power of God in that you think that E & E have to have a translated body to be in Heaven since their bodies didn't die yet.

Yet all the saints currently in Heaven are in spirit only, awaiting the resurrection of their mortal bodies to be redeemed and glorified.

Now if God has the power to find & reassemble every speck of dust that makes up the the untold millions of His saints, not to mention the untold billions of the lost [at the 2nd Res], what makes you think that He can't, or is not currently holding E & E's bodies in "stasis" while they are in Heaven awaiting their final gig?!?

I think [and this is the reasoning behind quite a number of expositors who believe it's E & E] that Hebrews 9:27 more applies here; "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." as E & E have not died yet, and are only "types" of the Rapture, but since they are not part of the bride of Christ, I don't think the bodily [glorified] translation can properly belong to them.
    😉

  • Rodney said "…then the West will abrubtly move in to capture the regions resources…",
How you came up with that is anybody's guess.

    "..yet with little research…", – "…A simple Google search…"
And as usual, your comments drip with condescension if we doubt your word.

You might do well to take your own advice and research the plan again, since I had pointed this out a couple of yrs ago, and we've had this go-around before, that "..once the smoke clears.." the west doesn't have any such intentions and won't be in any position to rush anywhere.

It doesn't fit the Illuminati plan!

    "…A simple Google search…" on Albert Pike's 1871 satanic vision of 3 world wars…
…and the intended purpose: the final, most horrific world war will create the world's total disillusionment of the 3 gods who didn't show up to deliver; YHVH, the God of the Jews, Jesus, the God of Christians, & Allah, the god of Islam…

However, God foreknew all of Satan's plans before He ever created him and He will throw some curve-balls into his plans to cause Isaiah 17 & Ez38-39 to be followed to the "T", right on into the Trib.

  • Hello Dear old DrNofog

Oooo I DO so like it when you go all expository!

For sure E & E are not part of the Church which gives EI food for thought not sampled previously, so thanks for that!

I have been missing you here at L&L 🙂

    (hug)

  • Looks like I will just have to agree to disagree concerning the feedback from the posts I have provided. I can only say, "That's my story and I'm sticking to it"!!

  • Rodney,
A further proof is that the 3 Apostles recognized both Moses and Elijah on the Mt of Transfiguration, yet Moses clearly does not yet have his Resurrected, glorified Body, so although they only saw his spirit, they recognized him as real as life.

Do you wish to continue proposing that Elijah alone appeared in a glorified body prior to Jesus receiving His, since only Jesus is the First Fruit from the dead?!?

  • Not to get ahead of myself with the poll, but I have to agree with Rodney on this one concerning the identity of the Two Witnesses.

Upon death we never are without a body. In Hades the Rich Man of Luke 16 talked about a burning thirst and water to cool his tongue. Peter wanted to raise a tent for Moses and Elijah in Matthew 17. Spirits don't thirst and need shelters. Plus, the Tribulation Martyrs or Revelation 7:9-15 are seen in Heaven robed. Why would a spirit need clothes?

Since Moses and Elijah have intermediate bodies, how could those heavenly bodies be killed midway through the Tribulation?

Plus, Elijah was predicted to go before Christ, and it ended up being a real man born during that time – John the Baptist. It would seem only logical then following John's fulfillment of being "Elijah" that the Two Witnesses will also be real humans, very likely Jews, who will have accepted Yeshua as Messiah at the advent of the Tribulation.

That's my take on it at least.

  • Nathan said "…Since Moses and Elijah have intermediate bodies…"
That is a key point that I can agree with, since it's along the lines I was heading anyway. – However, the wording should be "All the departed spirits have "intermediate bodies".

"…how could those heavenly bodies be killed midway through the Trib?…"
If E & E are to return for their final gig, as I proposed, they will be returned to their bodies that are held in stasis. An example is Lazarus' spirit being returned to his body, with the addition of his body being restored from the beginnings of decomposition.

"…Peter wanted to raise a tent for Moses and Elijah…"
Since you can't see spirits, of course they would have to "clothed" in some form of visible intermediate garment/body, same as John saw in Heaven.

    "…Why would a spirit need clothes?…"
Even the legion of demons didn't want to be without some form of body. [but that was short-lived…]

"…burning thirst and water to cool his tongue…"
These are descriptions of what the sensations are/will be equivalent to, since all sensations are actually perceptions in the mind/spirit.

There was a recent video of a pioneer Doctor [I'll hafta search for it again] who proved that all sensations of the body can be "remapped" to other parts of the brain. One of the things they developed was a video camera output to a electrical impulse card placed on the tongue of blind people who had never seen before [since the tongue is the most sensitive organ], and after awhile of getting oriented to spacial relation impulses in moving around, they were able to walk unassisted, following a curvy, turning white line painted on the floor, AND toss a ball into a garbage can a number of feet away.

"…It would seem only logical then following John's fulfillment of being "Elijah"…"
I've always thot it strange the way John was always referred to:

Luke 1:17 And he shall go before him "in the spirit and power" of Elijah…
Matt. 11:14 And if ye will receive it, this is Elijah, who was for to come…

…especially when God specifically says Elijah, not someone "in the spirit and power":

Malachi 4:5-6 "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."

Therefore, in the light that John was only proclaiming Jesus as the Lamb, but not as the reigning King, that in the foreknowledge of God that neither would be 'well received', I have always taken it as a "type" of partial fulfillment, not the actual, real one that is still to come "before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD". [same as my Inspired Scofield Bible says…] 😉

"And now you have the rest of the story…"
    😉

  • The account of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ is found in Matthew 17:1-3, Mark 9:2-9, and Luke 9:28-36, each Gospel records the same event with little variation. The question that arises is in regard to the appearance of Elijah and Moses, what was the significance?

I believe that Deuteronomy 19:15 provides this answer, this passage identifies with the Old Testament requirement of witnesses to attest to a fact. The passage reads as follows, "One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established".

The Lord Jesus provided a glimpse of his glory being accompanied by Elijah and Moses, along with the voice of the Lord God testifying that he indeed was the promised Messiah to give his life for the sins of us all! Three witnesses did bare record of this from heaven. Three witnesses also on earth, Peter, James, and John.

The Gospel of Luke in particular identifies the subject of conversation between the Lord and Elijah and Moses, as they appeared in glory, they spoke of his coming sacrifice, that he should die for the sins of us all (Luke 9:31). Moses and Elijah appeared in this vision representing the Law and the Prophets, testifying of the redemptive work of the Lamb of God!

The Two Witnesses will have a starkly different task, they will surely testify of the Lord, yet they will also bring judgement upon the unrepentant and ungodly, their message will be exhibited in power and might. For those that have no fear of the Lord, they will surely tremble before these mighty messengers of the Lord.

  • Dr. NoFog, I will have to agree with you concerning Elijah to come. It is clear that the scriptures indicate that he will come prior to the time just prior to the Tribulation, or the great and dreadful day of the Lord. This "Great and Dreadful Day" in description rivals that of Joel 2:31.

It is my belief that as is was during the time of the first advent of Christ by the mouth of three witnesses, both in heaven and in earth, was his claim of being the Messiah established, so to will it be established prior to his coming as King in the second advent. It is clear that the Two Witnesses will establish the right of rule of the coming King in righteousness and truth in judgement against a wicked and perverse generation.

The coming messenger of the covenant however will reveal the plan of God to the house of Israel, operating in the spirit and power of Elijah, preparing the hearts of the people for deliverance (redemption) and to announce the accepted time of the King, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

  • Nathan, it appears that even Sean at Eschatology Today also has come to the same conclusion we share. I identified with this long held belief regarding the Two Witnesses on this site (L&L)in April 2010.
