You’ve likely heard the idiom, “Hindsight is 20/20.” The phrase stems from the concept of perfect vision, referring to the visual acuity measured at 20 feet.
Concerning the context of this idiom, it doesn’t relate to physical sight, but rather to the clarity, perception, or understanding of past events. It’s easier to analyze and evaluate situations when looking back at them with the benefit of knowing what has happened, as opposed to predicting or understanding things in the present moment. As you know, we often understand situations better and more clearly after they’ve happened, rather than before or while they are happening.
Now that we are more than halfway through 2024, we here at Lamb & Lion Ministries are wondering if any of the prophecies other Bible prophecy teachers were predicting, purely through the lens of the Bible of course, back in late 2023, have come true or are increasingly coming true. We dedicated an entire episode of Christ in Prophecy to see if when it comes to the interpretation of Bible prophecy, hindsight is indeed 20/20.
The following Bible prophecy teachers were warning us to look out for these particular end times signs.
The World Against the Jews
Olivier Melnick, Shalom in Messiah Ministries (website)
There’s been a dramatic rise in Antisemitism since Hamas’ invasion of Israel on October 7, 2023. Not only was Israel hit severely by Hamas (and they behaved like animals, we all understand that), but the whole world turned a corner as a result. You see a lot more Antisemitism being expressed in America and around the world, and the boldness in which these people are expressing their Antisemitism has been quite shocking. There’s always been Antisemitism, but it was under the carpet; few were talking about it. A little bit here, a little bit there. But now, people are out marching in the streets. They are actually proud of their Antisemitism!
In Jeremiah 31:35-37, God gave a recipe to anybody who wants to completely get rid of the Jews. He says that if you can measure the sky, sun, and moon, and count all the stars, then He will forsake Israel. It’s God’s tongue-in-cheek way of saying it’s not going to happen. Unfortunately, there are always going to be some casualties in war, but God is never going to forsake Israel. People need to watch what’s happening in the Middle East—in Israel—because the prophetic time clock is ticking.
I believe it was Jan Markell who said, “The world is not falling into pieces, rather, it is falling into place.” A lot of people that I’ve talked to in our circles, all agree on one thing—the events that we’re seeing in front of us are happening faster and the exponential curve is going way up. A lot of end times events are suddenly falling into place.
Bear in mind, I don’t think we’ve entered the Tribulation just yet. But, I think that people are starting to see prophetic events falling into place. I’m hoping this convergence is going to attract them to the Bible, and the Bible might lead them to the Lord. For those who don’t have any knowledge of God or don’t believe in Jesus, when they start to compare all these events falling into place in the Middle East and around the world, with the coming one-world government and a cashless society, they begin to think, “Wow! I’ve been told about this in the Bible. Maybe I should pay attention?” That’s my prayer.
Apostasy in the Church
Don Perkins, According to Prophecy Ministries (website)
A lot of pastors are being forced to deal with end time prophecy because of prophetic events transpiring all over the world. A lot of pastors have neither a burden nor a desire to study prophecy. But guess what? Prophecy is coming to them regardless because they have sheep who want answers to their questions. People want to know what’s going on. It seems like the world is falling apart, and they want to know why.
People need God’s peace. The book of Isaiah says that wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of our times. In other words, having God’s wisdom and knowledge about the times we are living in will give you stability. When people don’t understand where we are on God’s prophetic timeline, they go into panic mode. They are fearful because they don’t understand what’s going on. I sleep well every night because I know a sovereign God is in control.
Churches are being tempted to fall into apostasy like never before. We’re seeing a lot of that today. People are turning away from the faith. We are suffering from scriptural illiteracy in our churches. I’m praying that more pastors would get back into the Word of God.
And don’t turn to Artificial Intelligence! Some pastors are now allowing AI to write their messages. It’s so dangerous to move away from the inspired Word. Use AI to write your Gospel message and you will get an artificial Gospel. The sheep will not be getting the inspired Word. Apostasy and scriptural illiteracy—my heart’s really concerned about these two things.
Rise of the One-World Government
J.B. Hixson, Not By Works Ministries (website)
I’ve studied for 20 years in-depth the rise of the one-world system—Satan’s attempt to take over this world. Satan’s earthly accomplices call themselves the Luciferian Conspiracy.
I believe we’re seeing a coalescence of several Antichrist system events taking shape all at once. Right now we’re in an election year. The U.S. economy is worse than ever. I mean, it’s been on life support for decades, but now it’s really bad. The whole Trump drama with all those trials. The war in Israel has been heating up in the north. So much is going on right now.
I’ve talked to a lot of Bible prophecy experts, and none of them think life’s going to simmer down. What’s going on will continue to move right into the end times wars.
The biggest sign related to the rise of the one-world government that’s changing daily is artificial intelligence and the role of technology in Satan’s attempt to take over the world. That’s something to watch. The folks on the inside of Big Tech, they’re concerned about something, they really are. They can’t quite put their finger on it, but they feel like we’re rapidly approaching artificial general intelligence or even artificial superintelligence. When that happens, the genie’s out of the bottle, so to speak.
A lot of what’s talked about in the book of Revelation that will happen during the Tribulation period, well the technological foundations are being laid today. It won’t be long before governments are going to be able to see everybody, control everybody, track our movements, as well as regulate our buying and selling. So, technology is going to become a big factor in prophetic events.
This means, more than ever before, believers need to be ready, to stay in the Word of God, and to look at everything that’s happening through the lens of Scripture, and so be prepared.
Growing Fearfulness
Mondo Gonzales, Prophecy Watchers (website)
I have a lot of family and friends who are not saved, and with the war in Israel and growing Antisemitism, even they are asking, “Is this Armageddon? Is this the end?” We know from Scripture that there’s going to be continuing trouble all the way to the end. I don’t expect there to be peace on earth until the Prince of Peace returns.
People over the past few years have not forgotten what happened with COVID-19 and all the tyranny and our liberties being taken. So what we’re seeing now with the Chinese pneumonia and other disease scares, we know we’re being spoon-fed fear.
Christians need to make sure that we continue to teach biblical discernment. Jesus warned us, “Let no one deceive you.” Deception will rise significantly with AI and quantum computing. We will soon be able to fake anything. You can have anybody say anything soon. With this technology, discernment’s going to be out the window. So, we’re going to have to stay close to the Word of God.
I was a pastor during COVID-19 and saw the people in our churches become fearful based on external circumstances. I was like, “Hey, guys, this is where the rubber meets the road as it relates to our faith!” Jesus said in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Do we really believe that? I think we believe it, but we are living in the days when we have to implement it. Rest in the Lord and in the truth of Scripture.
The Gog-Magog War of Ezekiel 38-39
Lee Brainard, Soothkeep (website)
We are seeing the world growing darker and darker all around us. Threatening clouds are gathering which will result in an awful storm. But, for the believer with the eye of faith, every dark cloud has a silver lining. The silver lining here is the prophetic mileposts that tell us the coming of our Lord Jesus is getting nearer.
But first, we’re going to have to live through some ugliness. A hegemony is growing among Russia, Turkey, and Iran. These nations are trying not only to dominate the Middle East and Europe, but they’re trying to bully China into joining them. They want to force America out of their way. This is going to come to a head when they try to invade Israel. Ezekiel 38-39 tells us that God is going to demonstrate to the entire world that He is the one calling the shots—not Russia, not China, and not America.
Review
Wars and rumors of wars, social upheavals, false teachers and teachings, the church in apostasy, signs of Israel, signs of nature, signs of technology, a convergence of all the end time signs—clearly, hindsight is indeed 20/20. These signs are all increasing in frequency and intensity, just as Jesus foretold.
Knowing this, are you ready for the Lord’s return? You can only become ready by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and so be saved. May today be the day of your salvation!
Ezek 38 is a different war than 39. And 39 comes first. And you said “scripture “ The last fella I talked to here chose a bible version that is NOT scripture. Its catholic approved garbage. Stick with the KJB.
Ezekiel 38 and 39 describe the same war. For details about the Gog-Magog War, check out http://www.lamblion.com/articles/articles_tribulation2.php and http://www.lamblion.com/articles/articles_tribulation1.php.
Hi, Nathan, I always thought the Psalm 83 war would happen before the Ezek. 38-39 war. What is the current idea about Psalm 83 and when is this war? Thanks!
Timing-wise, I believe the most biblical evidence places the Gog-Magog War after the Psalm 83 War and the Rapture but before or at the very onset of the Tribulation. For the details about the Gog-Magog Battle, check out http://www.lamblion.com/articles/articles_tribulation2.php and http://www.lamblion.com/articles/articles_tribulation1.php.
The timing of this convergence is also interesting.
We are just a handful of years short of 2000 years from the crucifixion which itself was so close to 4000 years after creation it probably was exactly 4000 years. That matches the four days the Passover lamb is held before being sacrificed when combined with Moses’ comparison of a day to 1000 years.
If the millennium is then added it comes to seven prophetic days of this creation.
Jesus did say “…the law prophesied…”
Bible Prophecy is a Lamp unto our feet. I find it comforting that Jesus told us every detail that would apply at the End of the Age. In Ezekiel 38 the Lord is saying to the Son of Man, set your face toward Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, and say, Thus says the Lord our God: Behold, I am against you O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. And I will turn you about and put hooks into your jaws and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses, and horsemen, all of the then in full armor….this is all modern day weapons. The armies are listed by names, as God knows who it is that will be invading Israel, he is summoning them.
38: In the latter days I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when though you, O Gog, I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. God will have sovereignty over these hordes that come against Israel. He is going to make known His Holy Name in the midst of my people Israel. Ezekiel 39:7. The Lord will restore Israel, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel.
Remember, We are in the Daze of Deception. This is the Era we are living in now. Ultimately, God’s truth is the only truth that will save us, preserve us, and keep us from stumbling. Deceiving spirits are not going to show up and say, “Hi we’re here to deceive you.” All believers must be determined to search the scriptures to figure out whether a teacher is true or false. The Word of God is clear, and clean presented by Him, it serves as a glistening, brilliant light that enables us to conduct our lives according to His will with boldness. His Word dispels the Daze generated by Deception.
Some of these fellas have it sorted out, me I started the guessing game only to find I was “JUMPING the gun”, that being said I believe the man of God- the family of God needs to prepare itself. I used to be of the crowd that NO WORRY we will be raptured out, Nowdays I think- God has not appointed us to wrath, GODS WRATH- is quite a different thing than Mans/Satans wrath, which I think is starting to really get going, first durning covid they pushed mandates which we blindly followed. In Kentucky Churches were closed- and Liquor stores left open..figure that out.I have now came to the conclusion that many types of HATE, Power pushing, and Christian bashing will become paramount, while Jew Hate will become a hot bed, congress wouldnt stand with Israel today if not for Jewish people and the money they have (smart people).Anyways- be prepared for disruptions in food, heat, and health while they try and enslave folk, and prepare for the Anti-Christ, Be like the Virgins that had fuel left for their lamps when the groom came. But as Ol Dave always said ” Look up be watchful- for our redemption draws near”.
Matthew 24:37. “But as the days of Noah were, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man be.” Jesus did not promise to return when the world conditions resembled the days of Abraham or the days of Daniel or the days of Paul. Jesus said He will come again during a period of history resembling the days of Noah. Jesus said, “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the days that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” Matthew 24: 38-39.
A CAVALIER GENERATION: When you read that a generation is (cavalier) it indicates a dismissive attitude that ignores the prevailing warning signs and conditions. Notice that in this passage Jesus was not talking about people doing bad things. He was talking about people doing normal things and taking life as it came with no focus on relevance. Noah preached to his generation about salvation from the coming Flood for 120 years! He was faithful to tell them the way of salvation, but they would not listen. Rather than turning to God in repentance, they filled their lives with going after their own pursuits. Jesus said the days before the Rapture will be like that too. People will continue to live as they always have despite the cataclysmic warnings and predictions. They will focus on the present and its pleasures, and not give thought to what Jesus and the prophets told us…..or that maybe they are right.
Recent comments by Donald Trump show he seems to have little to no knowledge of Bible prophecy. He says if Kamala Harris wins the election he believes Israel likely won’t exist within 2 years after she takes office. We all know Israel will absolutely still exist no matter who wins any future U.S. presidential election.
It does make me wonder what actions Trump may take in a second term regarding Israel that may lead to fulfillment of any part of prophecy due to his lack of understanding on the subject of prophecy. Actions he may think are beneficial to Israel could actually be just the opposite. So no one should think Trump is the answer to peace in the Middle East. Peace will only come when Jesus returns. Don’t have false hope in any human leader.
I have a few video clips, Reels from Facebook, that reveal how far the church is falling into Apostay. One woman preacher claimed that God lied to Eve, another said that if Jesus was alive today, he would accompany a woman into the abortion clinic, a preacher claims the Bible wasn’t written for 2024, and an Archbishop proclaims proudly to put down the Bible and listen to what other people tell you. The one that really got me was the woman who said that God lied to Eve. That is a heavy accusation to place on God especially since God hates liars.
