We live in a day when Bible prophecy seems to either be fulfilled right before our eyes or the stage is being set for a soon fulfillment. President Trump’s reelection has caused a lot of emotions, both positive and negative. His regaining the office of president has literally created reactions around the globe. Other nations are preparing to deal with Donald Trump’s iron fists. Again, that can be positive, or it can have adverse effects.
United States Buying Greenland
Trump has recently said something that has not yet caused much reaction, but it may if he pursues what he says he wants to do. He said he wants the United States to buy and control Greenland.
Now, one might say, what in the world does that have to do with Bible prophecy? To answer that, we must go back over fifty years to the time before Donald Trump even thought about running for public office.
Kingdom of Denmark
But, before we do, let’s talk about Greenland. Greenland is in the territory of the Kingdom of Denmark, making its people citizens of Denmark. Greenland became unified with Denmark on January 14, 1814. Even though Greenland is not part of the European Union, it is officially classified as an overseas territory associated with the EU. This arrangement does make them citizens of the European Union. The recognized languages in Greenland are Danish and English. Demographically, Greenland, as of 2024, has an estimated population of 56,800. It is located just off the east coast of Canada and is surrounded by the Atlantic and Arctic Oceans.
More Abortions Than Live Births
For such a small country, it does hold a rather upsetting distinction. According to statistics compiled by William Robert Johnston, who is the co-author of the “Abortion Worldwide Report,” records show that in 2023, Greenland had the highest abortion rate in the world. This report reveals that for every 1,000 women between the ages of 15 and 39, Greenland has 100.71 abortions taking place. This means in 2023, Greenland had more abortions than live births. This country recorded 716 live births but performed 1,034 recorded abortions. Every year since 2012, the number of abortions in Greenland has consistently exceeded the number of live births. According to the Center for Reproductive Rights, Greenland allows abortion for any reason within the first 12 weeks of pregnancy.
Owning Greenland is an Absolute Necessity
Now, back to last December and Donald Trump. He said, “For purposes of National Security and Freedom throughout the World, the United States of America feels that the ownership and control of Greenland is an absolute necessity.”
When those who call Greenland their home were asked if they were worried about U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s latest claim that American “ownership and control” of their homeland was a “necessity” the response was mixed. Surprisingly, the majority of its citizens were okay with Greenland becoming part of the United States.
Trump originally expressed interest in acquiring Greenland in 2019, so the idea has been around for a while. Even though the vast majority of Greenlanders are EU citizens, the EU’s diplomatic service, known as the European External Action Service (EEAS), isn’t exactly coming out against Trump’s suggestion of an impending land grab.
Kenneth Howery – the New Ambassador to Denmark
Most recently, it was when Trump appointed Kenneth Howery as his new ambassador to Denmark that Trump once again brought up the idea of the United States buying and controlling Greenland. Howery is the co-founder of PayPal and the former U.S. Ambassador to Sweden, and so far, he has been quiet about his thoughts on this plan. The only one who has publicly come out against this idea of America taking ownership and control of Greenland has been the prime minister of Brussels. He was quoted on Facebook saying, “Greenland is ours. We are not for sale and will never be for sale.” Hours after Trump posted his remarks, Denmark announced it would boost its defense spending in Greenland by $1.3 billion, although the Danish Defense Minister said the timing of that announcement was just a coincidence.
Daniel 7 and Revelation 17
Okay, let’s get back to Bible prophecy being fulfilled. Daniel 7:7 speaks of the prophet’s vision of four great beasts coming out of the sea. The fourth beast had ten horns, and then he saw another horn, a smaller horn. In verse 17, Daniel is given the interpretation of this vision:
The four great beasts are four kings who will rise from the earth. The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them, another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people who will be delivered into his hands for a time, times, and half a time. (Daniel 7:24-25)
We know this vision is speaking of the Antichrist and the Tribulation.
Revelation 17:12 also speaks of the ten horns. It says, “The ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast.” Revelation 17:14 adds, “These kings will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them because He is Lord of lords and King of kings.”
Before the Antichrist there Will be Ten Kings
Both Daniel and Revelation explain that before the Antichrist comes on the scene, there will be Ten Kings. This is where Trump’s plan to buy and control Greenland comes into play. Most people see the North American Union—the United States, Mexico, and Canada—as being part of the Ten Kings of Revelation. However, if you look at a 50-year-old map organized by the Club of Rome, you will see that it divides the world into 10 economic trading blocks. Greenland is connected to the United States. Mexico is part of South America and is not linked to North America.
Will these 10 blocks be the fulfillment of Daniel 7 and Revelation 17? That’s yet to be seen, but it is amazing when you combine Scripture with the 50 years of the Club of Rome history and what Trump says he wants to do with Greenland.
The Club of Rome and The Limits to Growth
The Club of Rome was founded in 1968 by a group of European businesspeople and scientists. It is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization and a think tank that deals with global issues. The Club of Rome has 100 members and is run by an Executive Committee of eleven members. Membership is restricted to those who are elected by the Executive Committee.
This map was designed after the 1972 release of the book The Limits to Growth. The material in The Limits to Growth deals with world population, climate change, and transitioning to sustainability. These are the foundational elements of the current World Economic Forum and the Great Reset.
President Trump, Greenland, The Club of Rome, Daniel 7, and Revelation 17—before the Antichrist comes on the scene there will be Ten Kings. Yes, we do live in an exciting time.
Hallelujah and Maranatha, Lord Jesus!
