In a recent article highlighted by Life News, a Canadian combat veteran—now a bold opponent of Canada’s Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) policy—issued a chilling warning. According to her, Canada’s government-controlled healthcare system could euthanize as many as 15 million citizens over the next two decades. Why? For the sake of “cost savings.”
This is not a dystopian novel. This is reality.
While the United States has not adopted assisted suicide to the extent that Canada has, the so-called “death with dignity” movement is gaining momentum. New York has recently passed legislation that, if signed into law, would make it the 12th U.S. jurisdiction (including Washington, D.C.) to legalize medically assisted death.
Since Oregon first legalized assisted suicide in 1997, nearly 10,000 people have died under the law. That number continues to grow. And in 2022, Oregon even removed its residency requirement, allowing terminally ill patients from neighboring states to cross the border to end their lives legally. One might expect Washington state to offer similar options—but religiously affiliated hospitals in certain regions prohibit it, pushing patients to find alternative doctors willing to assist them in dying.
We are witnessing a cultural shift: from protecting life to managing death. From valuing the sanctity of life to treating death as a solution.
An Evil Ideology
The movement toward death isn’t isolated to legislation or medicine. It is also creeping into popular ideology. One recent headline shockingly proclaimed: “Population Decline Will Change the World for the Better.” Excuse me?
This disturbing sentiment is no longer confined to the fringes. Depopulation is being openly discussed among global elites. At the annual Bilderberg meeting—held this year in Stockholm—one of the leaked agenda items was “Depopulation.” That’s right. Some of the world’s most influential figures met behind closed doors, without press, vote, or accountability, to discuss a future with fewer people.
It’s worth recalling that in a 2010 TED Talk, Bill Gates, a former Bilderberg attendee, suggested reducing the global population through pharmaceutical injections. Fast-forward to today, and the same ideology is emerging in U.N. reports and major news outlets.
Just earlier this year, Newsweek reported that by the year 2100, major economies could see population declines of 20 to 50 percent—citing U.N. projections that two-thirds of the world now lives in countries with fertility rates below the “replacement level.” On the surface, these may seem like demographic trends. But read between the lines.
The U.N. report links population, climate change, and sustainable development in the very first paragraph. For those who have followed globalist goals like Agenda 2030, ESG scores, and the promotion of 15-minute cities, this isn’t surprising—it’s prophetic.
What’s being promoted under the guise of sustainability may actually be preparing the world for something far more sinister.
Foreshadowing Biblical Prophecy?
The Word of God gives us an unfiltered picture of the Tribulation—a time when death will be unavoidable and massive in scale. Revelation 6 describes the opening of the Fourth Seal, during which one-fourth of the world’s population dies. Later, in Revelation 9, the Sixth Trumpet sounds and another one-third perishes. That means nearly half the world’s population will be lost during the Tribulation.
Can you imagine a world where half of all people are gone? These judgments align eerily with what we are beginning to see unfold: not just a disregard for life, but an intentional path toward death.
And it’s not only human life that’s vanishing. Wildlife is mysteriously disappearing across the globe. Over the last 50 years, it has been estimated that global wildlife populations have plunged by 69%. No clear explanation. No isolated region. This is happening everywhere.
Massive fish die-offs in Florida, unexplained beached whales in New Jersey, starfish and crayfish washing ashore in New Zealand, and tens of thousands of dead birds recently found at the Great Salt Lake in Utah—this is not normal. These ecological events bear an eerie resemblance to the descriptions of mass death found in Scripture.
Ezekiel 39:12 speaks of the burial of the fallen army of Gog: “For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land.” Revelation 19 paints a similarly horrifying image of birds feasting on the flesh of kings and warriors after the Battle of Armageddon. Could these current natural die-offs be prophetic foreshadows? Is God warning us through creation?
A Call to Wake Up
This isn’t just about environmental concerns or legislative debates. This is spiritual. The world is being conditioned to devalue life—both human and animal. Death is becoming normalized, justified, even celebrated. The global elite speak of depopulation. Governments push policies that prioritize “cost savings” over care. Even nature seems to echo a coming judgment.
From a prophetic standpoint, the pieces are coming together. We’re approaching a time when death will dominate the earth in ways never before seen. The Church must not remain silent. The signs are not subtle anymore. They are screaming!
If you haven’t yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, do so now. The days ahead may be dark, but there is still light and hope in Him. The time to prepare is not tomorrow—it is today—because the world is not drifting toward life; it is rushing headlong toward death.
Maranatha, Lord Jesus!
