The Christ in Prophecy Journal

The Impeachment Debacle

I have been appalled by the grossly irresponsible behavior of the Congressional Democrats in their determination to impeach President Trump. It has been their obsession since the moment he was elected — even before he was sworn into office.

They sat back for over a year, anxiously awaiting the report of the Mueller investigation. They were primed to pounce on Trump the moment the report was issued. Then, to their shock, Mueller reported he could not find any evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russians. So, they went scrambling for something else — anything.

Manufacturing Charges

So now it appears that Adam Schiff arranged for an anonymous whistleblower to report that in a telephone conversation which he heard about, but did not personally listen to, President Trump told the new President of the Ukraine that his nation would not receive any military aid from the United States until he produced some dirt on Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

Congressman Schiff then made a great show of describing this telephone conversation to the public — a conversation he had heard about third hand, and he demanded the President be impeached for bribery.

But then, to his shock, the President released the transcript of the phone call, and it proved that both Schiff and the whistleblower were dead wrong. But that made no difference to those obsessed with removing Trump from power. His head had to roll. Otherwise, the Democrats would have no possibility of defeating him in the 2020 election because of their weak slate of candidates and the booming economy.

So, the Democrats closed their eyes to the constitutional requirements for impeachment and decided they were going to impeach the President simply because they hated him and wanted to besmirch his record in order to make it more difficult for him to be re-elected.

Cartoon Impeachment

The Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, announced she would proceed only if there was bipartisan support. But when it became clear there was no such support because all the Republicans in the House were opposed, she decided to go with it anyway. In the end, the only ones who broke party lines were four Democrats, three of whom voted against impeachment and one who voted “present” — the presidential candidate, Tulsi Gabbard from Hawaii.

The Constitutional Requirements

It was a blatantly political impeachment from start to finish — enough to make any impartial observer want to gag. The Constitution limits the grounds for impeachment to “treason, bribery or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” But from the Democrats’ point of view, who cares what the Constitution says? After all, it was written hundreds of years ago by white, male slave owners. It needs to be jettisoned.

Thus, despite the lack of evidence that President Trump has committed any of the offenses stipulated in the Constitution, the Democrats decided to trample the Constitution and proceeded full steam ahead, lying every step of the way and deeply dividing our nation.

Most Americans are not familiar with the impeachment process, so let me clarify a major misconception. To be impeached means only that the person has been indicted. Impeachment requires a simple majority vote in the House of Representatives. The process then moves to the Senate where a trial occurs that is presided over by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. It requires a two-thirds vote of the Senate to convict.

This means that although Trump has been impeached, he has not been convicted. He cannot be removed from office until he is convicted, which is not going to happen. Furthermore, being impeached does not mean he is unable to run for re-election.

What the Democrats have done is attempt to overthrow a duly elected president by weaponizing impeachment as a political process. And that is a direct threat to our republic.

The proper thing they should have done was focus all their energy and efforts on defeating Trump in the 2020 election. Instead, they want to disenfranchise the 63 million people who voted for Trump in 2016. In their twisted minds, this is justified because, after all, didn’t Hillary Clinton characterize Trump’s supporters as a “basket of deplorables”?

Trump’s Accomplishments

What makes this whole farce even more ridiculous is Trump’s outstanding record during his first three years. Below is a brief summary of some of his major accomplishments by categories:1

A Stellar Record

The amazing thing is that these are only a few of the Trump Administration accomplishments. It is mindboggling to think the President was able to accomplish this much while being besieged by hostile Democrats and bureaucrats within the Deep State, all of whom were determined to stonewall and undermine all his legislative efforts and executive orders.

Trump’s greatest legislative failure came when he attempted to revoke Obamacare. That failure was due to RINOs (Republicans in Name Only) in Congress. This failure revealed that quite a number of Republicans were part of the Washington, D.C. swamp that Trump had promised to drain when he was running for office.

I still have not named what I believe has been the greatest accomplishment of the Trump Administration. That is the fact that his election enabled our nation to “duck a very large bullet — a reboot of the Obama Administration under Hillary Clinton.”2

I think it should also be pointed out that President Trump has donated his salary each quarter to a different federal agency. That’s $400,000 a year he has handed back to the federal government.3

It’s incredible to think that a president with such an outstanding record of accomplishments would be subjected to impeachment. Further, he has proved completely faithful to his campaign promises — something Americans gave up hope of witnessing long ago.

The “Evangelical” Attack

Mark Galli

Mark Galli

And when you consider his strong protection of religious freedoms, it is even more preposterous that the editor of Christianity Today magazine would write an editorial demanding Trump’s conviction and removal from office.4 The editor, Mark Galli, stated that Trump is a “morally lost and confused” person.

He further claimed that Trump has damaged the institution of the Presidency and the reputation of our nation. He accused Trump of a “habitual string of mischaracterizations, lies and slanders.” He summed it all up by stating that Trump is a leader of “grossly immoral” character. The counterpoint, of course, is that even if these things were true, they would not constitute grounds for impeachment and removal from office, according to our Constitution.

Christianity Today was founded in 1956 by Billy Graham to be a voice for Evangelicals who were opposing the gross apostasy that was sweeping the Church at that time. Over the years, the magazine has been taken over by left-leaning intellectuals who masquerade as Evangelicals.

Mark Galli is the prime exhibit of this trend. He is both a political and theological liberal. In July of 2010, Galli posted an editorial on the magazine’s website that clearly revealed how far the magazine had veered from its Evangelical roots. It was an article about the nature of God, and believe it or not, it was titled, “The Divine Drama Queen.”5 The article was so blasphemous, that I hesitate to quote it, but I feel I must in order to illustrate how strong the stream of apostasy is that is running through the Evangelical Movement today. So, hold on to your seat!

I like a tranquil, even-keeled, self-controlled God. A God who doesn’t fly off the handle at the least provocation. A God who lives one step above the fray. A God who has that British stiff upper lip even when disaster is looming.

When I read my Bible though, I keep running into a different God, and I’m not pleased. This God says He “hates” sin. Well, He usually yells it. Read the prophets. It’s just one harangue after another, all in loud decibels. And when the shouting is over, then comes the pouting…

This God is like the volatile Italian woman who, upon discovering her husband’s unfaithfulness, yells and throws dishes, refuses to sleep in the same bed, and doesn’t speak to him for 40 days and 40 nights…

We may think this a crude depiction, except that Jesus — God with us — seems to suffer the same emotional imbalance. He rants about Pharisees and Scribes — or “snakes” and “hypocrites,” as He calls them…

This God knows nothing about being a non-anxious presence. This is a very anxious God indeed.

I’d rather have a God who takes sin in stride. Why can’t He relax and recognize that to err is human. I mean, you don’t find us flawed humans freaking out about one another’s sins. You don’t see us wrathful, indignant and pouting. Why can’t God almighty just chill out and realize we’re just human?

Can you believe such nonsense was expressed by a so-called Evangelical? What he is saying is, “Why can’t God be more like us?” It reminds me of the famous line from the musical, My Fair Lady — “Why can’t a woman be more like a man?”

Needless to say, Mark Galli and Christianity Today do not speak for true Evangelicals. Franklin Graham made this clear in his response to Galli’s editorial. He wrote: “For Christianity Today to side with the Democrat Party in a totally partisan attack on the President of the United States is unfathomable.”6 He added: “It’s obvious Christianity Today has moved to the left.”7

Trump’s Weaknesses

Now, having pointed out all of Trump’s impressive accomplishments, and having emphasized that the whole impeachment process is nothing but a cheap political sham, I feel I must add some critical comments that I think Trump well deserves.

Although I greatly admire Trump’s accomplishments, and I strongly support his policies, I can fully understand why his enemies hate him so much. Of course, a good part of their hatred is rooted in their opposition to his policies. The fact of the matter is that the Democrat Party has moved so far left that it is now in opposition to not only our Constitution but to the Judeo-Christian principles that made this nation great to begin with.

It is their personal criticisms of Trump that I can identify with. The fact of the matter is that our President is an insufferable egotist who brags incessantly about how wonderful and great he is. This is not just an annoying trait. It is also a very dangerous one because the Bible makes it clear that God hates pride (Isaiah 2:12, Jeremiah 9:23 and James 4:6). It also teaches that “pride goes before destruction” (Proverbs 16:18).

Another very annoying trait of Trump is his avalanche of tweets which are often crude and rude and even vulgar. Even worse is the fact that most of them are vicious personal attacks full of reckless, juvenile name-calling. This points to one of Trump’s greatest weaknesses — namely, when criticized, he responds to the critic and not to the criticism. These personal attacks serve to intensify the hatred of him. In many ways, Trump is his own worst enemy.

True Evangelicals need to search their hearts regarding these issues. Let me illustrate my point: I have no doubt that if Trump were a Democrat, Evangelicals would be constantly criticizing his egotistical and often irresponsible behavior. The fact is that many Evangelicals have allowed their political partisanship to overshadow their commitment to biblical principles.

Evangelicals need to face up to President Trump’s very serious character flaws. We need to pray for him to develop some humility, some charity toward his critics, and some oral restraint. And the inner circle of Christian advisers who have access to Trump need to have the courage to confront him about his character flaws.

Thus says the LORD, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises lovingkindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things,” declares the LORD (Jeremiah 9:23-24).

  • Dear Mr Reagan,
    as I am not an American citizen, I cannot expect my opinion of President Trump to be relevant to your political discourse. But what is a political discourse doing on a religious website? I come to this website to learn the word of God, not to be persuaded on issues which in the long run are irrelevant. As Jesus said, Give to CEASAR what is Caesar’s, and give to God what is God’s.

      • I agree with Jac “no ministry can divorce societal issues from moral and biblical issues”. We in the U.S. are blessed with a representative republic and are responsible to select those who represent us in governance of our republic. It is a Christian duty to 1) understand each party’s platform, what do they stand for on issues and policies, and 2) vet each candidate before making a decision for whom to vote. The measure for Christians should be how each party and candidates represent biblical principles and values.

        While no candidate or party is perfect, we must choose which most closely represent our biblical beliefs and values. Clearly, in this case the House Democrats have put forth, at best, a flimsy case for impeachment.

      • Nathan, shared to us the good article through replying. It made me to rethink our christian light through our action through the jobs or leaders….. I read a good article recently about some churches. both of them are interested to focus on God’s words plus not involve the political and focus on words of God and involve to participate in political. I agree this article and fight our rights and protect our rights and freedom. I thank some people to be brave protestors are against abortion, etc…. I myself thought it is waste time for me because it is temporary and falling in sin. we suppose to invest our life to to the Lord because it is eternal life and rewards…… It is better than here. what do you think about my expression.

    • Bro. Jac, the purpose of his web sight is to educate you and I about the end times prophecy, one of which is the culmination of a one world government, monetary and religious system under the leadership of the Antichrist. You need to know what our government agenda is and you better keep an eye on Israel’s also. If it’s not your cup of tea then just keep your eye on the sky, listen for the shout and pray “even so come Lord Jesus” and I will see you when we get there! Amen?

    • When I was younger there was this thing in America about separation of church and state. There is no separation, our nation was founded solidly on God and is the reason why we are so prosperous which is the reason why many like you have come to America. No country that does not have the true “church” at its center has done so well. Those that think there should be a separation are lying to themselves. Because when the state comes for you, you will be calling out to God. What if His divine answer to you is “not my circus, not my monkeys?” You want Him out of the state, why would He rescue you out of “state” caused pains and problems? Why would anyone that believes in and knows who Jehovah and Blessed Yeshua really are, desire to keep the creator of all that was, and is, and is to come, out of our government? Pray for President Trump. He needs it. Because he is a sinner he can do something that could cause consequences that could be detrimental to us all.

  • Excellent article Dave. A great, well-researched piece of what’s really going on and what this President has accomplished. Great work!

  • I am an American citizen and a Born Again Christian. I truly believe that President Trump is the worst thing to happen to America in a long time. He should be impeached. But I don’t think that will ever happen. Because there are too many prejudiced people holding him up. I think this whole impeachment is a farce and no one ever intended for him to be impeached. I believe if they really wanted that to happen it would have happened a long time ago. I believe that if he runs again he will win because the same bigoted people will vote for him. I pray for our president daily as I have prayed for all presidents. I pray for America as a whole. President Trump has totally divided this country. There is more racial confrontation in America now than ever before, all because of him. He is the white man’s president and he doesn’t care about letting people know it. This country will never be “White Again” as he would like it to be. Thanks be to God.

    • Terrie, nothing you claimed about Trump can be backed up by facts or reality. Trump and those who voted for him are not bigoted, they’re members of the part of Lincoln and supporters of Judeo-Christian values that teach that all people are equal in God’s eyes. Divisiveness is a tool the Left uses to draw more power to themselves, and they wield it effectively.

      • Not everyone that voted for Trump has Christian values. Very bigoted people were in the group of Trump voters and backers now. Trump has made extremely bigoted remarks for years and continues to do so. To put all the blame of deviciveness on one side makes no sense. It seems quite clear on a daily basis that both sides are very willing contributors. In my opinion what seems to be happening in so many discussions is tying people’s faith with a political party affiliation. It is disturbing to see how frequently people are demonizing one another over political views. I believe it was Dr. Vernon McGee who said “when given the choice of two evils, choose neither.” This seems very wise but is not accepted by many of the Christian family I encounter.
        No matter what I do know for certain that God is in control of this as much as He always has. God didn’t just suddenly appear on the scene and put Trump in office. God was as in control when Obama was in office as now and throughout our history. It does appear to me that we have the type of President we deserve and they seem to well represent the country. A president that is egotistical, corrupt and lies can have positive effects while dealing with myriads of roadblocks, but those do not negate the negative things and those negatives should not be ignored for the good or because he’s the guy of your political choice. If he were the other political party I’m fairly certain that some of our Christian leaders would not be turning a blind eye.
        There are some people that have wanted Trump out since he was elected and would do anything to accomplish it (deep state). But there have been quite a number of people who have come forward about Trump’s misconduct with great risk to their careers, and their and even their own well being. There is nothing to indicate that all of these people are in this deep state. It seems as wrong to lump everyone into one group, the deep state, or the other group Trump followers.
        As Christians we should be very careful to not let societal things tear the Christian family apart. We should also be working hard to be an example to the world. Unfortunately I don’t see much of this happening right now.

    • If Trump is everything you falsely charge than who would you have voted for Hillary!!! Trump is no saint but neither was David, Saul/Paul, Peter, Moses etc..I could go on and on. Too many Christians are so sanctimonious and petty they are of no Earthy good.

    • I guess you feel Hilary Clinton would have been better for us. WRONG. I will pray for you and YOUR viewpoint, not because of race, or political position but because you truly have not grasped just how bad things could have been. I say “I pray for wisdom and humility when praying concerning politics and thank God Trump WAS elected.”

  • I have read your article about President Trump’s and it will s true he is a sinner, but we are all sinners in the eyes of God, that includes President Trump’s, Franklin Graham, even that Pope in Rome but most of all me. I do pray for President Trump’s ever night and will do so.
    As far as I am concerned President Trump’s greatest accomplishment is his complete support for Isreal . In General. God said he will bless those who bless Isreal and curse those who curse Isreal . I do believe we and President Trump’s are in for a blessing like has not been seen in a long time not since President Truman regonised Isreal in 1948.

  • While I do not think that Donald Trump comes anywhere near to Jesus Christ, there are some similarities.

    1. Both men did great things for their people and their nation.
    2. Both men were despised by their country’s leadership (Democrates vs Sandhedrin)
    3. Both men were tried-Jesus through false witness testimony-Trump through false witness testimony
    4. Jesus was found guilty (what a joke) and executed-who knows what Trumps fate in all this will be?
    Again, no attempt to equate the two men, just comparing their experiences.

    • 😲 how dare you compare ANY man …to JESUS, how are you so easily bewitched? If you MUST make a comparison, to anyone from the word to this individual, try Saul ! Oh but the “people” wanted a “king” so that they would have someone in bodily form to “worship” . Yes he is definitely being used, and those that support him …. I’ll let God be the judge of that!

  • What you are experiencing is the struggle of Good verses Evil. Spiritual warfare increases every day. The globalists want their one world government and Donald J Trump and the American people, along with knowledge of God and the Holly Spirit, are in their way. They are in a frenzy and rush to World government, this must be in place for the antichrist to set up his Kingdom and there is a struggle going on which will continue as more and more people are willing to accept evil to get what they want. The counterfeit kingdom cannot blossom, until the church is removed in the Rapture.

    The lateness of the prophetic hour means that the very time is near when the Holy Spirit’s restraining influence will be remove the church from this rebellious world. 2 Thessalonians 2:7.

    the Bible predicts an upside down culture at the very end. In the Last days Evil will Wax worse and Worse. 2 Timothy 3:13. Spiritual deception would be the primary culture sign of the last days. Matthew 24. A Crisis will be needed in the global system, it will not be a financial collapse, it will be the Rapture.

    Romans 1:29. They invent ways of doing evil continually.

    John 3:20. Everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by truth comes into the light, so that it may be plainly seen that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

    The globalist government is a counterfeit kingdom. God laughs at them. Psalm 2.

    Those who know and believe God’s word know exactly whats happening, don’t depend on the media for clarity.

    There are so many people who are just waiting to state the truth of reality happening in this world.

    • I agree. What we are seeing is not the usual political strife we’ve seen before. The democrats are no longer the loyal (to the US Constitution) opposition. JFK and those of his generation wouldn’t recognize their party today. This truly is a battle between good and evil.

  • This fauxpeachment business is more self-serving on the part of Democrats than anything else, I think. For instance, Nancy Pelosi, who is nearly 80 and has been in the House for decades, is now not only the first female Speaker (TWICE) but also one of less than a handful of people who have ever presided over an impeachment, a check mark she apparently covets at all cost, no matter how fraudulent. This also was likely a payback for the Clinton impeachment. The smartest thing all patriotic Americans must do, it is clear, is to VOTE OUT all Democrats and RINOs, and demand the re-establishment of our Constitution as created by our founding fathers, times I believe were deigned by our Creator.

  • Thank God for men like yourself who will be a voice for those of us who feel they no longer have a voice! I will share this with as many who will take the time to care and read it through to the end and hopefully pass it on to others. So thankful for someone who is willing to spread truth and justice. May God wonderfully bless you and your ministry.

    • Many people are glad for the opportunity to tell what is really happening to America and the culture due to the socialist coup and attempted removal of a duly elected President by the electoral college. For 3 years the socialist Democrat party has been creating all kinds of propaganda, lies, and trying to change the times and processes by which the 3 branches of government operate. This is the underlying goal. Changing due process, freedom of right to due process for every person so that the government has the sole power over every human being without them having their rights upheld. The leftists have blatantly lied and tried to force their will on the American people and the Senate.

  • Well written article and I agree with most of the points made. As believers in our time we cannot bury our heads in the sand and pray that our troubles magically disappear. I do believe that our president could respond to criticism with thoughtful feedback instead of trying to be the playground bully. One thing I try to always consider is that he is a relatively new believer and in a lot of situations he is still consuming the milk of the word and has not moved on to the meat. We should uphold him in prayer daily

  • Dr. Reagan, thank you for your thoughtful and educational article. Because too often we in this country forget or were never educated about our Constitution, it is also easy to forget upon Whom it was founded. Your topic was all about God. Our county was founded on Judeo-Christian values and our Constitution was written with these values in mind.

    While President Trump is not a perfect man, God is using him in a mighty way. None of us know how He may be working in his heart to change him. One need only look at our own hearts, to see how God works in our lives, to know that He does work!

  • I think your messge about is very good. As a Christian, we need to keep up on information that relates to our freedom and in the lens of Biblical and Spiritual truths. I believe its part of our responsibility as a Christian to take the right stand concerning political motions. Many people died in former wars to protect our country against tyrany and communism. Somehow, I believe the growing democratic agression comes from the dark side powered by Satan and his followers. If we stand against this dark powers we will need the Lord. I believe that our President knows that and is asking the Lord for help. His openly stands for Israel is something that should be noted on which side he stands. Concerning his openly statements of how good his projects are going should be more to the Lord than himself. But, the lying media is not telling the public anything good concerning him, and shouldn’t be taken as gospel. I think we are in a spiritual war and some of the activities show what side of the fence people are on. I will take the Lord Jesus side. How about you?

  • It is a fact that the platform of the democratic party is anti-God and defies Scripture. I do not understand how a Bible-believing person can support anyone or vote for anyone who is running for office as a democrat. And, yes, President Trump can be crude and steps over the line for many of us. However, I do remember that many of the heroes of the Bible were sinners and stepped over the line too. Yet ….God used many of them in a mighty way. David was a liar, an adulterer and a murderer. Jacob was a manipulator and a deceiver. Samson was a womanizer, Noah was a drunkard. Lot committed incest. Rehab was a prostitute and the list goes on. The president has accomplished much for the faith….more than any president in the last 30-40 years. God sent us a “thick-skinned warrior ” which is what we needed to meet the vicious left on their terms and I, for one, appreciate that.

    • I think Doc. Reagan’s biggest point was that we should not give the president a pass just because he has done so much good. God did use many that had just as bad or worse faults, but in most, if not all, of those passages the sins of those greatly used by God hurt them (and others) greatly. They were judged for it. *Ahem…Hello, prophet Nathan. To what do I owe this pleasure?* The Bible didn’t turn a blind eye to their sins, neither should we for President Trump. He is in a position much more separated from any of us and his sinfulness can hurt himself and us greatly. Example. His sins can, in some form or fashion, be the thing that takes him down, we can and should pray against that. My prayers will still be for President Trump and I believe Doctor Reagan is right.

  • One thing I hear quite often is how could you as a Christian vote for Donald Trump the womanizer? My reply is I did not vote for him to be my pastor, but to lead our country. Is he perfect? Far from it, but the alternative was dreadful. I don’t understand how people cannot quite get that.
    Anyhow, your analysis was dead on and most importantly the part about him not being able to control his tongue. That hurts him more than anything.

  • Agreeing 100% with your opinion about President Trump, his major, huge accomplishments and doing what he promised he would, I am also in agreement with your description of President Trump’s character. You say you cannot understand why Evangelicals in large numbers are behind the President. I can.
    When TWL (the wicked left) came into power through President Obama, they almost wrecked the USA! A godless man, having the spirit of the antichrist, but a very smooth talker, charismatic, non-tweeter, etc. I believe God installed President Trump to right what is wrong; I am not overlooking his character flaws, but take him any time over the former president. Indeed, the best thing we Christians can do and should do: Pray for the President that God’s will be done, fully and completely!

    • God put a strong man in office to deal with the tyranny we are experiencing….how many others would have been able to stand up to continuous hatred and attacks from the left without resigning. God picked the man who would and he’s not going to be removed until its God’s will.

  • Dear Dr. Reagan,

    I appreciate all your news letters, but this one is the best by far! I watch very little news; choosing to stay abreast by prophecy updates and biblical news programs. Some of the accomplishments of President Trump I was unaware of. Thanks for the enlightenment.

    I did, however, hear about the editor of that rag of a magazine. Blasphemous, outrageous and from an apostate. You are, no doubt, aware of the NAR? He sounds like one of them. A few years ago our Lord delivered me from the fringe of their garments. They masquerade as lily white. When you look deeper, it’s as dark as the abyss. If this is what that upstart really thinks, they’ll be a huge wake up for him and his kind when we’re all pulled out of here in the rapture. Wonder if he’ll change his disgusting song about God then?

    God bless you all!

  • The Democrats seems to be intent on convincing Christians that President Trump is not a saint. They don’t realize that we didn’t vote for him because we thought he was a saint, but that we knew Mrs. Clinton definitely was not a saint.
    One of my friends told me that he wasn’t sure what he would get from Trump, so he didn’t vote for him. (He didn’t actually say he voted for Clinton) My comment was that I also wasn’t sure about Trump but I was sure what I would get from Clinton, so I voted for Trump.
    I do like what he is doing as President, but I wish he would cancel his Twitter account.

  • Good article. Straightforward and accurate. We humans are flawed. On the one hand we can tout the qualities of many good people. On the other hand, we can find faults with everyone taking breath.
    In that God uses the “flawed”, or there would be no one to use, for His purpose, I think is the big story here. A man “after Gods own heart” was an adulterer, and set a man up for being killed.
    Trump is flawed in character, but look at the stable of democrats. Wow!
    So pray, yes. Vote, yes. Don’t let character flaws cause us to surrender the republic. God would be ashamed of us.

  • The left hates President Trump for so many reasons. I believe, by far, the greatest reasons they hate him are that he has trounced their globalist and socialist agendas. The left is doing satan’s bidding in a deep and destructive way. I don’t think we can change President Trump’s character no more than anyone else would have success changing ours. The left is out to demonize him and any leader who does not bow to them. I am thankful we have a leader who has surrounded himself with Godly counsel and knows how to fight a great battle.

  • Trump has his character flaws and some are serious. When his flaws are placed next to Hillary Clinton’s, the only other person we could vote for, it’s a matter of voting for the one with the fewer character flaws. Hillary’s been caught lying on national TV, and there’s no use going into all the other things she’s done that were blatantly illegal. She’s never been charged with the obstruction of justice which she’s guilty of. The list is long.
    Trump isn’t the paragon of virtue that we’d like, but he’s still a better person than Hillary.

  • Hi Dr Reagan,
    This is an EXCELLENT article “The Impeachment Debacle”!! I especially appreciated that you detailed BOTH sides of what Trump has achieved and also acknowledged his faults. And i liked seeing the Biblical verses.
    ~~~~~smiling in Jesus!~~~~
  • As a believer in Christ I’m so sick and tired of. pastors talking about my president Trump he was anointed and appointed by God to reveal all the corruption in our government and yet with all that he has done for this country there is still pastors talking about his tweets and personality when he’s fighting for the soul of our country. Why didn’t you run for office? With all the presidents accomplishments the socialist democrats are trying to give the credit to Obama who was the most corrupt president in american history. The media lying everyday to the American people and you’re worried about tweets and the presidents personality really. Leave my president Trump alone and educate your viewers on how we almost lost our country to crooked politicians who sold our country out and lined their pockets with american tax dollars. There are also pastors who George Soros have corrupted and have sold their congregation out and you’re worried about tweets. I love my president Trump just because he says what he means and means what he says and America once again is on the road to recovery. We are fighting a real information war here between populism and socialism and once again you’re worried about tweets. Trump is not a pastor and never claimed to be but has done more for christians than so called pastors. Leave President Trump alone period. Either you’re on the Trump train or not. Maybe you need to read qmap.pub.
    • wow. What a tirade. Let’s not put him so high up on a pedestal that the faintest breeze can knock him down. And let’s not forget that it really is not Trump doing these things, it is the Lord working through him. Even King David was reprimanded by the prophet Nathaniel. The Lord has never turned a blind eye to anyone no matter how great they are. Why would you be upset for him asking for continued prayer for the president? The reality is that he is a sinner and sins (just like all of us) but that he is in a very prominent AND precarious position in the world (not like most of us). The president needs all the prayer he can get because some very serious pain can come to him and/or others through the keyhole of sinfulness.
  • I like President Trump. He has accomplished more for our country than I would ever have believed. I agree with your article in calling him out for his obvious sins. He fails greatly in arising to a biblical standard of holiness. However, it is no surprise that a sinner will sin. He exhibits the behavior of one who does not know the way of Jesus. To ask him to change his ways is not realistic. He may be able to polish his personality and style, however, he cannot save himself. Therefore we cannot expect Christ-like behavior from him. I will vote for him in 2020. And I will pray for him every day.
  • I think President Trump is such a Biblical character who would fit the mode of David, Solomon, Moses, and Paul. We Christians wouldn’t have approved of any of these fellows; but God placed His anointing on all of them…including Donald Trump. I so appreciate Trump’s love for America and her people. He has paid a huge price to be President and his willingness to go another 4 more years proves this love. I pray daily for him and am grateful for his love of God and his stance for religious freedom. I’ll overlook his brashness and focus on his sincerity and being a man of his word. We are blessed to have Donald Trump for our President.
    • I agree. God uses flawed people that’s for sure. This man may be the best president we’ve ever had and irrespective of his tweeting I will vote for him a 2nd time.
  • So what if President Trump’s tweets are “often crude and rude” (rarely vulgar)… I bet King Nebuchadnezzar was FAR worse.
    So what if President Trump is “egotistical” and has “irresponsible behavior”… I bet King Nebuchadnezzar did too.
    So what if President Trump has “character flaws”… we know that King Nebuchadnezzar did too.
    Yet, what did God Himself say about King Nebuchadnezzar? King Nebuchadnezzar was His chosen servent. Would you question God’s reasoning for choosing him?
    Read Jeremiah 43:10 and Jeremiah 27:6 “So now I have placed all these lands under the authority of My servant Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. I have even made the beasts of the field subject to him.”
    President Trump is God’s servant. So it’s NOT what we Christians think, it’s what God thinks and wants. God has sent this man to help us.
    Let’s be real. Can any “Christian” really say they would be better off with Hillary Clinton as President? What an ugly, twisted thought.
    And the disgusting, equating the boldness, grandstanding and bragadociousness of President Trump as “pride” is twisted logic and judgemental. By that standard, you would rail against The Lord Himself who made claims about Himself over and over and over again… as “pride”? Really? That’s foolishness.
    My take? Christian brothers and sisters need to stop railing against the President with their “super holiness standards”… which they themselves can’t meet… stop fighting God and His servant (of this time)… and support the man who has defended Christian religous liberties… calls for protecting the unborn innocent… has respectfully sat through many prayers and hands laid upon him… has increased favor for Christians over anti-Christian religions… and on and on.
  • Ask a pastor in an underground church or a missionary attempting to share the gospel in a closed country if politics is irrelevant. The very bedrock of our religious freedoms are under attack right here in America and the people who are doing it are trying to remove a who has done more for religious freedom than many if not most presidents who preceded him. This impeachment is not simply politics. It is clearly spiritual, Satanic and religious. I too wish such issues were irrelevant and that we could simply bury our heads in the sand, but unfortunately for America, those days are over. May God bless David Reagan for speaking out with such a beautiful, balanced article on this deeply vital subject. We all must pray for our president, for all in authority over us — both Democrat and Republican — and for God’s mercy on our country.
  • God has given many many Christians the assignment of praying for President Trump. Oh, we know the Word instructs us to pray for our leaders, but, how often do we follow through on this Word.
    God knows this! Therefore, He placed this burden on specific people of whom I am privileged to be one.
    When God gives you an assignment it’s best to follow through with it. The majority of God’s leaders were very flawed, liars, adulterers, murderers, etc. And, these leaders were following God. Trump did not grow up with Godly parents – so what do you expect from an ungodly man? YET, God said I need this man for such a Time as this!! GOD KNOWS BEST!! You don’t and I don’t- even if you are a Christian! Sooo, keep praying and looking to God from whence comes our HELP!
  • Well written article. The question for me has to due with his foreign policy. His recent deal of the century seems seriously flawed. Trump’s plan is likely to lead to more violence. Creating a vassal state for the Palestinians does not seem fair for these Semetic peoples. Human nature will reject this enslavement. Is Trump the Goyim Messiah as some Jewish rabbi’s suggest? Is he the incarnation of Cyrus? We will witness the results of his policies in the near future. Should be interesting.
  • We as Christians know that President Trump has flaws…I hate his bragging and some but not all of his tweets. I think that we have to realize what the alternative is to another Trump presidency and vote for the party that nearest represents the Word of God. I did NOT vote for him in the primary but am so thankful with all his flaws, that Clinton did not win the presidency. I didn’t vote for a pastor, I voted for a president and in this case very very much the lesser of two evils…..
  • Leadership anywhere can draw people away from God with laws (pressure).
    Also they can stand for Biblical principles, not agreeing with sin.
    It is very important WHO and what our leaders are doing. Remember the Antichrist spirit is already at work. He wants to rule the world.
  • Doctor Reagan, I have always respected you highly. For you to take this many hours of research to publish this report is awesome. Unless some of us Christians stand up for what we say we believe, our country is being lulled to sleep. God gave me a specific calling. But I wonder how many men He approached prior which turned Him down, before He picked me to fulfill Jeremiah 51:20, “Thou art my battle ax and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms.” I’m a naturalized proud American citizen which my Christian books confirm. I once read: God is like oxygen, you can’t see Him but you need Him to survive. Evangelist Tilly Steward.
  • Nathan, you are spot on!
    No true ministry of the God of the Bible can turn blind eye and deaf ears to what is happening in the society and political arena. There are two great reasons for that :
    1) Our God whom we serve and represent is involved and in control of both global and also national politics. It is part and parcel of our ministries that we acknowledge God’s works and sovereignty over politics and also call people in the politics and in society to live up to God’s expectations.
    2) Politics and governmental offices are the places where the decisions that govern the lives of millions of people are made. Furthermore, it is again these governmental offices that hugely influence the morality and destinies of nations. Thus any Christian ministry that aims to turn the hearts of people to God cannot be indifferent to political and societal issues.
  • I DO NOT agree with what you said about President Trump. he has to take up for himself , he is NOT bragging , he is the best president we ever had, I watch your show every sat, and respect and believe in the things you say , but not about Trump , he has done great things with the help of God in our country, the things you said about the democrats i completely agree. they are evil and doing the work of satan,
  • THANK YOU DR. REGAN! Your faithfulness to Biblical truths is why I trust this ministry so much and your knowledge of political history helps clarify things for me. Thank you for explaining the current situation from a Biblical point of view and for admonishing believers to keep checking our attitudes & thoughts with God’s word! I’m shocked by the demise of such a well recognized publication, more evidence of apostasy. We need to let Scripture form our opinion of culture, and not culture form our opinion of Scripture.
  • MR. Reagan
    I was going to comment the exact SAME thing as MR . Lafierre, . So now I will just add that I able totally disappointed in the mis representations of any form of Christ being apart of this administration and the blatant lies that has filtered it self to those who have allowed themselves to be manipulated , with this type of misinformation .
  • Unless I missed something in the article we need to pray for one thing for our President and that is salvation. The real issue is his soul. Clearly, and I can say without reserve that being a Democrat at this point in history means agreeing with an antichrist platform. How can anyone support same-sex marriage and the murder of babies and say they have a clear conscience before the Lord, voting for a Democratic candidate. The party runs on those very issues.
    God has used men in history for both good and evil. Let’s not put too much stock on the man himself other than to pray for his redemption. Evangelicals have but one King and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.
    The Bible tells us the heart of an earthly King is in the hand of the Lord. Let’s not fret over his carnality. He is simply behaving as we all had, before we knew Jesus Christ and the wretchedness of our own sin. Pray for his safety and the safety of his family. Pray that mercy chases him down, and the “hounds of heaven” get his attention. All else are secondary issues.
  • I agree wholeheartedly that we need to pray for our President’s prideful behavior…thank you for the balance in your article.
  • President Trump is the best president in American history. He is a fighter and puts on the armor of God to fight against the principalities and powers of this present darkness and the wickedness and evil of the democratic and socialist parties. We need more Christians like him!!!
  • “Trump is his own worst enemy.” Agree. His weaknesses, in reality, is his downfall (to me is his loss of status in the way a President should present himself.) I pray for him every day about this issue and hope that the evangelicals that surround him will see the error of their ways of not confronting President Trump about his flaws.
    Q, Do you believe the Lord chose President Trump for such a time as these?
    • Absolutely! The Apostle Peter in 1 Peter 2:13-14 told us to: “Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. Proverbs 21:1 also states that the hearts of rulers are like “channels of water in the hand of the Lord.” The passage goes on to state that God can turn their hearts “wherever He wishes.” So, yes, God installs rulers and deposes them, all for His purposes.
  • The Constitution of the United States requires that if a President commits high crimes and misdemeanors, it is the duty of the Congress for the sake of maintaining a stable democracy, to impeach and remove that president.
    Donald Trump committed an act against the Republic which called for his impeachment. The scripture says, “by their fruits you will know them.” Not only was Donald Trump’s act in soliciting a foreign nation to dig up dirt on a political rival an offense against our constitution, but his prior acts as the President within the last 3 years must make many believers pause & take note. Additionally, upon Presidents Trump assuming the position as our commander in chief many believers recognize his words and acts as not only egregious but also deplorable!
    It really shouldn’t matter whether a President is a Republican or a Democrat, black or white, male or female. Believers in Christ must seek to know the truth from our leaders rather than believing a lie. The Nazi minister of propaganda during World War II said, “the bigger the lie, the more people will believe it.”
    Believers must continue to be led by the Spirit as opposed to being led by right wing extremists. Pray for our president…definitely; but believers need to call out racism, injustice, intolerance, hypocrisy, bad behavior, as well as lies when they see it as opposed to being fearful and remaining silent.
  • The message of David Reagan in this article is outstanding. It reveals what we are facing in our nation today, especially in Washington DC. President Trump has a remarkable, even biblical record in the midst of the political turmoil that he constantly walks in and that surrounds him. The anti-biblical leaders continue to release their hatred toward him. Instead of trying to work with him, they continually work against him.
    The second part of the article reveals weaknesses that our president has. We all have many weaknesses, so it’s important to recognize that our president is no different. However, that doesn’t excuse him, pride is pride, sin is sin, and we must all learn to yield to God and allow Him to change us into the image of Christ.
    I support President Trump and will continue to pray for my president for all of these things, that he will receive a revelation from the Lord and change his ways. May God not only reveal this truth to our president, but also to the hearts of those who are so critical of him. We pray:
    (1) That we all respond to God’s call to “first of all, pray for those in authority over us…” (I Timothy 2:1-2).
    (2) May He reveal this truth to our president’s heart, but also to the many hearts of all those who are so critical of him.
    (3) May God give our land a continued season of grace, may He be glorified in the United States of America, and release His glory in lives across our nation.
  • I cannot believe I would be reading a bunch of Republican talking points from this organization. You have a right to your opinion, Christian liberty and all. But if you truly believe that the big bad Democrats are out to get Trump you are living another planet. I’m not going to get in a point for point debate with you on the so-called accomplishments of Trump. You think he’s doing a great job, fine. But i do not know where in the Bible that prophets or men of God stood around nodding in approval of a secular leader while the Faith was being decimated. And that is what too many Christian leaders with a national pulpit are doing, which is allowing a bellicose and mean-spirited president to co-opt Christianity like he did with the Republican party. You and others are in effect preaching and teaching that the end justifies the means. And that does more harm to the integrity of the Gospel than any of his foul mouthed utterances and tweets. You want to pray for the president? Pray that he comes to repentance and faith in Jesus.
      • The last paragraph that you wrote mentions Trump’s character flaws. Everyone has character flaws. What makes Trump different is that he is incapable of admitting it because he has no shame. That’s why Trump finds no problem in trashing the name of a war hero like John McCain, verbally attack private citizens like the Kahn’s, a Gold Star family, and parade a group of Bill Clinton accusers before a televised debate in order to score political points. Developing humility, charity toward others and oral restraint as you put it, normalizes his behavior. These few examples is not normal behavior and God forbid it and sets the tone for future presidents. We are way beyond the point of supporting this president because we are in favor of his policies. Just reading some of the comments from readers makes Trump into some kind of cult hero. I’m surprised you don’t find that disturbing. Christian leaders need to do more than just have a talk with Trump; they need to use their national voice to preach the Gospel of repentance, faith in Christ, confession, and absolution.
  • You don’t even realize what President Trump is doing. He knows how bad the liberals hate him so he trolls them. Rush Limbaugh does the same thing when he says, “Talent on loan from God.” He says, “With one side of my brain tied behind my back to make it even.” What I like about President Trump is that he is not a politician. He acts like one of the people. I expect him to be the way he acts. And yes, I am a christian, and assure you that I am not a christian in name only like the majority of the church today. I am from the old school Christianity, not liberal. None of us a perfect; we all have faults. What are yours? I don’t agree with the fact that a woman so called “preacher” is advising him. I don’t know if he has been saved. But I do know that he is for us just as God used Nebuchadnezzar and Cyrus to help the Jews. He’s a LOT better than what we had before!
  • This is a well-written article and I especially respect that at the end you stood for the inherent Word of God and what He has to say, before or after any applaud for any natural man. Good article, thanks for the time you took in writing it. May the Lord give the church ears to hear what the Spirit is saying……..as I am concerned that for the most part the church is deaf.
  • What a shame, your willing to accept all the that this man has destroyed. Let’s just hope he does not claim to be God in the temple. The Temple which is his people. What happened to the separation of church and state? Allow hi
    • Christians should always be the Lord’s examples by showing respect for our leaders and caring about their souls needing salvation. But, we are also told to be “salt and light” to the world (Matt. 5:13), standing up for what’s right so that people know what is evil. And, when a government fails in its biblical duty and is no longer just and moral, as America’s Founders believed, then it is the Christian’s duty to call out that government.
      For an episode of “Christ in Prophecy” about why Christians should be involved in government, check out https://christinprophecy.org/sermons/christians-and-politics/.
  • Thank you to someone who recognises the good works President Trump has accomplished in his short time in office. He promised to do certain things to make America great again and hasn’t he done most of that plus strengthened the flagging economy to boot? Thanks be to God for giving America a President who actually loves his country.
  • FINALLY someone in the Evangelical community speaking the truth about this President. I agree with everything you said, both positive and negative AND IT IS THE TRUTH. I appreciate your article and I will pray for this president and our Congressional leaders. We all need Jesus.
  • Dr. Reagan, I so appreciate how you have summed up so well what has been going on with the impeachment trial. What is so appalling to me is, all the things that Obama and Hillary did and barely got a slap on the wrist.
    I wish that Trump would not tweet and be so egotistical, but I still believe that God put him in the presidency for such a time as this. Only God knows if Pres. Trump is a Christian or not, but we as Christians should appreciate all he has done for us like, putting prayer back into schools,moving the U.S.embassy to Jerusalem,and standing firm against abortion.
    I have come to realize in the past week that not all of my Christian friends share the same feelings about Trump as I and my husband do. I have also been very surprised to read the negative comments that have been made about your article.
    I value your Godly wisdom and insight to this and all end time issues. May God give you health and strength to continue proclaimimg the truth.
  • We’ve had 2 presidents impeached before our [most of us] eyes and in both cases the shams are a grotesque waste of the taxpayers money. Both parties should spend their time developing candidates that are truly ‘fit’ to run. That is the ONLY WAY a candidate is going to come close to doing what is appropriate to affect policies that benefit all and not just some. How can anyone in their right minds expect a miscreant with no class, no character, IQ at the freezing level, no humanity & no common decency on any level to behave as though they were blessed these traits. Most of our politicians are possessed of everything decent people, regardless of their faith, have been taught to avoid, revile and disdain! Some people are corrupted in the womb, born dripping in generational curses and sin debt of every kind imaginable. There is no explaining away their behavior and only an act of Divine Providence will rectify this. Instead of debating and arguing the issue to death, getting mad with others because some cannot face the facts – wake up and realize you don’t have to be among the walking dead – you can pray for this nation and the world. The word of God says we are to pray for our leaders, employers and anyone who governs us no matter their capacity because ALL of our destinies are connected/intertwined in one way or another. We need to look more closely at candidates BEFORE THEY TAKE OFFICE! Politicians politic and not necessarily with any of our interests in mind. If greed is the objective – all manner of depravity will raise its vicious head against any and all of us no matter who you think you are – self servers serve themselves and could care less about whose expense they do it.
  • https://www.christianitytoday.com/ct/2010/julyweb-only/38-41.0.html is the link to the article written by Mark Galli. It is no longer up and his response is on the page, which I do think people should be aware of. It is not made clear in the above article whether the entire article is quoted, so is unclear if any statements were made prior or after to what was quoted here. I do think that Mr. Galli’s explanation should be included along with what was quoted. It does provide an explanation which should be taken into account in my opinion. I sincerely hope that everyone who read the quote in the above article also take time to go to the provided link. Perhaps Mr. Galli’s response could be added to the above article for those that will read in the future. Perhaps a conversation between both David Reagan and Mark Galli could be done and printed. As Christians it seems a discussion should be in order on such a serious matter. I’d like to know what he was thinking when he wrote that 10 years ago. I had not seen nor heard about that article prior to seeing the quote here, and I suspect it is the same for many others, so it may be beneficial to have some dialogue.
    Politics is now tearing apart the Christian community and our Christian leaders and mentors should be leading the charge to stopping the damage. Each individual Christian should be making it a priority to stopping the appalling nastiness and devisivness being sown within the Christian community as well as in our communities and nation. We need a strong Christian family to help us be an effective witness for Christ. Our witness is being greatly diminished when we are so mean to our Christian brothers and sisters and as nasty or even meaner and nastier to those we should be witnessing to.
    • I see in the references that the link is there. I should have read through those references more thoroughly.
  • God uses all kinds of people to execute his will.
    Remember, he is still in charge of all things, including those we don’t like or understand.
    To critisize our president is really critisizing GOD’s choice.
    The impeachment process is just a process where GOD is at work.
    GOD BLESS this Great Country, and we are so blessed to live here.
  • The chaos we’re seeing should not surprise us. The divisiveness began in earnest during the era of the Vietnam war, Watergate, protests demanding equality and justice for all, and the sexual revolution. These issues have yet to be resolved and our nation has become even more sharply divided. But racism, border security, gun control, abortion, law enforcement, and politics are symptoms of a much deeper problem. The fundamental problem is the irreconcilable gap between the worldview of believers and nonbelievers. America is increasingly being taken captive by false narratives and the lies of this world. Check out the LIE and the LIGHT: America/Divided (WestBow Press 2019) Is it possible for a democratic republic to legislate in a manner that equally respects the beliefs of those who believe in God’s Truth and those who believe in the intelligence of humankind?
  • As both a conservative Christian and constitutionalist, I am disappointed to see Dr. Reagan abandon all political discernment and regurgitate Republican Party propaganda. The list of accomplishments are cherry picked and distorted, and his understanding of impeachment is in error. Btw, what is with the irrelevant references at the end?
    Since I cannot refute everything in one comment, I’ll give a few prime examples.
    Both Justices Gorsuch and Kavannaugh at their Senate confirmation trial testified that Roe v. Wade and Obergefell v. Hodges (same-sex marriages) the “law of the land”, even though those court opinions were not made in pursuance of the Constitution and contradicts the higher natural law. They maybe conservative when compared to “progressives” but that doesn’t make them conservative judges.
    Trump has unconstitutionally banned bump-stocks by Presidential decry and has said he wants to take guns first and give due process later. How is that providing strong support for the 2nd Amendment or the 5th Amendment for that matter which guarantees due process?
    Trump’s major overhaul of the federal prison system is the implementation of Social Justice. And he doesn’t stop there, it appears again in his unconstitutional United States Mexico Canada Agreement which establishes a North American Union.
    USMCA Article 23.2: Statement of Shared Commitments
    1. The Parties affirm their obligations as members of the ILO, including those stated in the ILO Declaration on Rights at Work and the ILO Declaration on Social Justice for a Fair Globalization (2008).
    Funny how while Dr. Reagan gives Trump the sole credit for the economy, he completely ignores the massive deficit spending and national debt that has continued under Trump.
    We either return to first principles or continue assuming a more unhappy form of government of government (i.e. despotism)
    I would like remind everyone of these wise words by founder John Witherspoon.
    “Those who wish well to the state ought to choose to places of trust men of inward principle, justified by exemplary conversation. Is it reasonable to expect wisdom from the ignorant; fidelity from the profligate; or application to public business from men of dissipated life? Is it reasonable to commit the public revenue to one who has wasted his own patrimony? Those who pay no respect to religion and sobriety in those whom they send to the legislature of any state are guilty of the greatest absurdity, and will so pay dear for their folly. Let a man’s zeal, profession, or even principles as to political measures be what they will, if he is without personal integrity and private virtue, as a man he is not to be trusted. I think we have had some instances of men who have roared from taverns for liberty, and been most noisy in public meetings, who have become traitors in a little time. Suffer me on this subject to make another remark. With what judgment will laws against immorality be made, or with what vigor will they be executed, by those who are profane and immoral in their own practice? Let us suppose a magistrate on the bench of justice, administering an oath to a witness, or passing sentence of death upon a criminal, and putting him in mind of a judgement to come. With what propriety, dignity, or force can any of these be done by one who is known to be a blasphemer, an infidel, or by whom in his convivial hours every thing serious or sacred is treated with scorn?”
  • God has always taken precedence over political affairs of those that are his and says that the nation that forgets God will be turned into hell. David told Goliath, I come against you in the name of the Lord, he had already been anointed king in Saul’s stead. This war against President Trump is more spiritual than what you know. These are all end time occurrences and we all do well to pay attention to the signs. Trump had to be chosen by God and this is a God situation. The pieces are all falling into place, keep watching.
  • Daniel 2:21. He changes times and seasons, he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning.
    God places in office those who he wants to accomplish his purposes.
    Everything that socialism proposes, the open borders, climate change, abortion, homosexual marriage, being anti-semitic and anti-Israel is against God and his purposes.
    President Trump has restored so many policies and freedoms that were being destroyed by the Democrat-socialist party, the economy, fair trade, jobs, religious freedoms, and a society that still wants One Nation Under God, and he kept his promises.
    There are. politicians in Washington who are socialists and they believe in lying and deceiving the public to get what they want. The phrase Make America Great Again is not what socialists want to hear because they want to radically change America into their globalist utopia where there is one world bureaucracy and no individuality or Constitution to adhere to.(No accountability.) Brexit put a screeching halt to that, and the election of President Trump.
    The dangerous open borders policy was a risk to the national security of every American.
    The antichrist will push for diversity, the mixing and assimilation of the races, cultures, and religions. Daniel 2:43. And whereas thou safest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men.
    The mingling is done in the name of peace. He will began with seeking consensus, the will of the single majority at the (expense of the minority.) It is important for people of different races, cultures, and religions to learn to live together, but this is the premeditated herding of diverse people groups, causing them to intermingle and be forced to live together, you can’t mix violent cultures with peaceful cultures. Germany, France, and the UK have found that out the hard way.
    You cannot force people to live together peaceably. Its like forcing lions, wolves, bears, sheep, and cows to live together. Sooner or later there will be conflict. History shows that different races, tribes, and cultures and religions naturally gravitate to their own kind.
    There will be friction or worse, especially forcing cultures that do not worship God, Yeshua, Elohim, the One True God to live with those who are believers in Christ.
    The open borders movement was to overload the government, to balkanize and socialize America. Obama’s war against Arizona was more forceful in content than his work against Iran gaining nuclear weapons. The goal of the Open Borders movement wasn’t to help suffering people, it was the left’s plan to overwhelm the border states economically with outrageous calls for free healthcare, education, drivers licenses and everything that is the right of only legal tax paying citizens. The goal was to economically crush these states systems in the same fashion that California has been brought to bankruptcy.
    This would Radically Transform America. God changed our President in the Nick of time, the Wall is going Up!
  • Don’t you think that because President Trump, never being in politics and a blue collar giant in his industry…has had an effect on his personality…In his world he was the “boss” and he pretty much is and what he says he is…most of us were raised to ..not to offend others, be kind to all, etc. He just is..what he is..and we voted for the up front…tough negotiator…and someone who has actually run a business. After all…government IS a business and it’s a tough world. I believe his attributes outweigh the negatives.
    No one is perfect….but as his presidential duties…he is extremely good.
    Yes..he is a little too much sometimes, but I’ll take that any day than what the Dems would have had in store for America. God Bless America…and let’s keep praying for our leader!!
    We very much enjoy your ministry and comments
  • Dr Reagan: This was a political impeachment based on policy and ideology differences. The President did nothing that was impeachable, nothing has been proven and the American people know that the Deep state that is trying to get rid of the President because he is not on board with their global agenda, and they are doing evil continuously, just like the Bible tells us. Evil will wax worse and worse in the last days. If the Left can change the process, then they can pull these kind of actions all the time.
  • I agree with all that was said, and I’m praying that the President’s character improves and that VP Pence can be a positive influence. I pray for both sides to check their own desires and prayerfully consider their actions. God has a plan and it will be done.
  • I think you misunderstand Pres. Trump when you characterize his tweets as “juvenile”. He’s just wise enough to know that in any fight, the key to victory is to put your opponent off-balance and in the defensive. His tweets, if not his intention, have done just that. Which is why I think they are purposeful. While the media screams and moans about his latest tweet, he goes off and accomplishes the things you listed above, unnoticed and unimpeded by the media.
    Have you not read what David said about his enemies? Or Jesus about the pharisees? We are not called to be “nice”, but victorious. Yes, to love our enemies, but love is not always nice. Like it or not, even the Democrats will long benefit from what Pres. Trump is accomplishing.
  • The Democratic party is the party of Satan. You can’t expect them to act any other way. They’re the main ingredient in the swamp and you have to expect them to rise up screaming when our President steps squarely on their ways of doing business. You heard them say, we have to get rid of him so we can get back to our normal way of doing things. You know, screwing the American people. I love him and he loves a good fight. He wont give up.
    • God did give the Democrats over to a depraved mind for suppressing the truth in unrighteousness. Romans 1:28.
      2 Timothy 3:13. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse.
      2 Thessalonians 2:9. The coming of the lawless one will be on accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
  • An interesting commentary worthy of perusal. Your honest and forthright critique of President Trump’s character flaws is appreciated since so many evangelical Christians have simply given him the nod and ignored these embarrassing and shameful traits. I believe it reflects upon their willingness to look the other way and swallow a bitter pill of reality that they don’t want to deal with. I believe in giving credit where credit is due, but I also believe in telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I sincerely believe he needs to trust Christ as his own personal Savior. God’s saving grace and mercy and forgiveness can overcome the blemishes that mar his reputation and character. His egotistical and boastful mannerisms are not reflective of a man who has surrendered to Christ. I’m concerned as to how he will respond if he is exonerated and let off the hook as the impeachment trial winds up. I haven’t really examined his proposed deal of the century for peace in the Middle East. It could be in conflict with the prophetic scheme of events as prophecied in the Bible (e.g., Did he suggest a two-nation solution?). As you insinuate, Donald Trump may be his own worst enemy. He can be firm but he also needs to be friendly and not so abrasive and curt. And he needs to be a man of integrity. It’s not an easy task that he has, but he needs to “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. He needs to realize that an America that is great is going to be one that’s great in God’s eyes. Humble yourself in the eyes of God and He will lift you up in due time. As for those he governs…. “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” Pride must be dealt with. God must be enthroned. God acknowledges and blesses a humble and contrite heart and attitude and a nation that endeavours to yield and surrender to His will and His rule. I just heard that President Putin of Russia is making plans to change his title to Supreme Ruler! Some day he will be introduced to the Supreme Ruler of Russia and this world and universe and be compelled to bow before Him. It may not be a happy meeting if he continues to refuse His offer of redemption and forgiveness. And so it is for leaders and followers everywhere. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised!
  • Dear Mr. Reagan, I loved this article! The most succinct I have ever seen the entire debacle explained and, our President’s character flaws noted so perfectly. Sadly, I don’t think Paula White would, or could help Donald Trump face facts about his tweeting. As you say, he is his own worst enemy. Still, I think he may be one of the best presidents we’ve ever had, and he has my vote for a 2nd time.
  • JAC Laferriere,
    In response to your post: Give to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and give to God what is God’s….” Without going deeply into this, the scripture you referenced is referring to money and a Christian’s duty to pay their taxes. It was not Jesus’ intent to create a divide between the subject of government and the subject of God; similar to the bogus claim of separation of Church and State. It is imprudent to place the Lord into a “Spiritual box” that doesn’t inform a biblical world view in which to see what is happening around us. Eph. 6:12 tells us “We wrestle not with flesh and blood, but against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Mr. Reagan’s enlightening article is a demonstration of this scripture being played out in our government by our elected politicians, who are fomenting dissension and chaos. He informs the reader as to the state of our culture and its impact on our lives starting at the top with the people who have the power to make and change laws that can affect us on a most personal level such as in our Christian beliefs. To that point: If Hillary Clinton had gotten into office, we would be having a different conversation, as she believes that “long standing religious beliefs need to change.” referring to the Christian and their biblical beliefs. To believe that politics and God should be or are divorced from one another is naive, for God rules in the affairs of men. All one needs to do is read the Old Testament and see how God views corrupt leaders and judges them; how He raises up Kings and puts down Kings; how He destroys nations or prospers and blesses a nation. God created government, and it is wisdom to view what is happening in our country through the lens of scripture. If you do, you will be amazed at what you see, and how big your God is. This article is a great foundation for a study from Romans 1 in which you will see many of the players in our government highlighted.
  • Thank you Dr. Reagan and Nathan for such a great article on the current political situation. Years ago you might have been able to not involve politics in the end times, but with the growing call for a Global Government and OWR it is impossible to ignore politics. I’m delighted that you address this issue even though it is certainly divisive as these comments show. Trump is far from perfect, but he was much better than the other choices for President from the DEMONcrats. Keep up the GREAT work and keep looking up!!!
  • I completely agree with you about Pres. Trump. He has done a lot for our country and under great opposition. I will vote for him again. But I do wish he would stop the profanity, boasting, name calling, and tweeting about every little thing said against him. So unbecoming of someone proclaiming to be a Christian. I pray for him everyday.
  • As a Christian Republican I do feel for those who are poor due to political decisions.
    Jesus ordered His disciples to “feed my people” yet Trump wants to cut all services for the poor.
    Matthew 26:11 – The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me.
    Would it not create a dangerous climate of those who revolt against policies that dismisses their needs such as healthcare or housing? Jesus did say ‘the poor will always be because Trump has shown he is unwilling to “feed my people” ?
    • Christians have abdicated their responsibility to the government where the poor and needy are concerned. A generation has arisen that keeps its hand out and takes no responsibility for its actions thus creating the false narrative that everything is free. The only problem with that is Somebody has to pay for it. When a leader like President Trump rises up and deals with the issue fairly he is reviled beyond anything I have ever witnessed. He is the first President in my lifetime that has actually done what he said he would do.
  • In the Bible, God states that He raises Kings up and brings Kings down. In these last days I believe that God has moved to bring Donald Trump into the White House, possibly as a last gasp attempt to right what has gone unquestionably wrong. Although, he is not much of a Godly man, he is ‘God’s man’ in these perilous times to use to right the ship. The Devil knows this and has, I believe, entered into the hearts and minds of most Americans, as well as the Democratic party. The absolute moral decay and unparalleled violence in this country and around the world is testimony. to this. If there is any time in world history that we are in desperate need of a Savior, it is now. These are the last days and we are blessed to play a meaningful role in times such as these. I applaud the efforts of your Ministry to bring the inerrant Word of God to all peoples and I am glad to be a part of this ministry as a supporter, a Christian believer in Jesus the Christ, a Christian songwriter and a Preacher to all those who would have ears and listen. May God richly bless you and your Ministry with His Grace wisdom, knowledge. MARANATHA !!!
  • Nathan and David,
    I think that your assessment of our President is right on. It appears that God has him in place for His purposes. There’s more at work than most know. I realize that you gentlemen assume that by the time of the rapture, America will have either morally decayed into irrelevance, or that at the removal of the churched, she won’t have the capacity to wright the ship. What most have not considered is what happens if God leaves the churched and only takes home those who at that moment in time “known” by him? (Gal 4:9 and for the opposite Matt 7:23)
    I recognize that neither of you want to give that concept a go. Time will shortly tell. But if that concept is correct, Trump’s second term less Mike Pence, less Mike Pompeo, becomes critical. America becomes critical. The wilderness. The only entity capable of protecting the persecuted from the Prince who is to come.
    I’d be interested in your thoughts?
    • Steve, a partial rapture? Jesus did all the saving work on the cross, cleansing all believers, making us appear holy before God. No amount of Tribulation suffering will make us “more holy” before the Father. If a person is truly saved, and only God knows, then they are a member of the Church. Since Jesus returns for His Bride the Church, then that person would be raptured. Each of us live a life in the process of sanctification, and for some it’s harder than others. Good thing Christ’s blood has covered our sins and made us pure before the Father.
