Billy Crone on the Most Important End Times Sign of Israel

Billy Crone on the Signs of the Times

What’s the most important end times sign?

To answer this and many other questions concerning Bible prophecy, Dr. David Reagan and I invited as a special guest on our television program Christ in Prophecy Billy Crone, pastor of a Las Vegas, Nevada church and founder of Get A Life Ministries. Pastor Crone is a very knowledgeable, articulate, and passionate proclaimer of God’s Prophetic Word. He answered our questions based on his latest book The Final Countdown. This book presents a survey of the signs of the times that point to the fact that we are living in the season of the Lord’s soon return.

Israel, the Most Important End Times Sign

Billy Crone: That’s kind of hard to pick. It used to be back in the day when you’d have one major event that was going on in the world, you’d go, “A-ha! That’s something very significant to the prophecy concerning a one-world government, or some such prophecy like that.” And then you’d have a lull until something else would happen, such as an earthquake over here, or a worldwide upheaval over there.

But today, I can’t even keep up with the so many end times signs going on all over the world all at the same time. All the classic signs occur each and every day, and it’s not just one, but it’s all of them converging all at the same time.

However, I believe one of the biggest of the classical end times signs remains the Jewish people. That’s only common sense. We can’t have Daniel’s Seventieth Week begin without the Jewish people being in place, for all of Revelation focuses on the Jewish people.

That’s why the Church will not be living in the Tribulation, because that time has not been ordained for the Church, but for the unbelieving world. The Tribulation is the time of Jacob’s trouble, not the Church’s trouble. The Tribulation exists as the final week of Gentile rule according to Daniel. Gentiles rule over the Jewish people, and that is where the seven-year Tribulation comes from. God will pour out His wrath on the Gentile nations. And so, the Church remains apart from all of God’s wrath.

So, in order for the seven-year Tribulation to exist as that final prophetic week, and in order for it to come to pass, the Jewish people must exists as a nation. Well, that’s a problem for some. After 70 AD, after the destruction of the Jewish Temple, the Jews scattered all over the world. Well, guess what? Just like the Bible prophesied, they would return to their home land. And, they didn’t just return to their land, they returned in the exact order historically that Isaiah prophesied: east, west, north, and finally south.

The Jews didn’t just return to their land, but they also became a nation again, and not just any nation, but one ordained by prophecy. A prophecy foretold that Israel would become a nation born in just one day. And that’s exactly how it went down, on May 14, 1948, at 4 pm to be exact. The people’s council made the declaration that the State of Israel was to be established. There you go!

Not only would Israel become a nation again, but a united nation of all the tribes that once comprised Israel and Judah. That’s huge! Remember your biblical history. Around 926 BC, the Northern Kingdom of Israel, comprised of the ten tribes of the north, split from the two down south, with the latter becoming the nation of Judah. They’ve been split ever since. The first time in 2,900 years the Jewish people are back in the land, and as a united nation with all the tribes living under one flag.

The Bible also prophesies about future Temple services, and how Israel would be using their ancient currency — the shekel — once more. Even when the Jews started coming back to their land, their currency wasn’t the shekel. It was the British pound. But that changed in 1980, and they use their own shekel to this day.

The Bible also says that in the last days Israel would blossom as a rose in the desert. Well, before they came back after 2,000 years, foreign conquerors turned Israel into a land that was completely decimated. Israel became widely acclaimed as a barren wasteland. In fact, we even quote from notable authors such as Mark Twain who went over to Palestine, as it became named by the Romans. Twain basically would make jokes about the Holy Land. He noted the scant few inhabitants lived in barren squalor. He chided something like, “Who’d ever want to come here?” He even made jokes, such as, “All the sheep have to eat is rocks. There’s nothing here!”

Again, in 1905, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands traveled over to the Holy Land and tongue in cheek said to the effect, “Only God could stop the onrushing of this desert. What a horrible place!”

And, guess what? When the Jewish people came back the Holy Land once again, it become like the Garden of Eden. Everybody at the time was saying, “Who would ever want to come to Israel; it’s ruined.” But, the land began to respond, for in essence it’s a good land, just like God said it was.

The Jews helped revive the land, of course. They initiated a massive tree planting program, which is still going on to this day. They’ve added new irrigation methods and built desalination plants. The Jews are diverting water to arid regions.

How is the desert responding? Exactly as the Bible prophesied. The desert’s blossoming roses. Israel has grown into the bread basket of the Middle East. A former wasteland now feeds the world!

The Bible also prophesied that in the last days the Jewish people would possess a powerful military. The revived Jewish nation would be capable of conquering from the left to the right any enemy that attacked them. Hands down Israel has become the most powerful military in that region. The IDF has advanced into one of the most well equipped, well trained militaries on the planet. Little bitty Israel can wage wars against far larger foes. They have to be able to protect themselves, for the Bible also prophesied Israel would become the source of world conflict.

Nathan Jones: You can’t go a day without hearing the world condemning Israel about some ridiculous issue, even as small as Israel building an apartment complex. Who complains about an apartment complex being built in another country? But Israel, every day, every day the news reports of some condemnation against them for the slightest advancement.

Billy Crone: How then can some skeptics claim there are no indicators that we’re getting closer to the day of the Rapture? How can they deny we’re living in the last days. Just turn on your TV! Every day you hear about what: Israel, conflict, Middle East.

Remember, what’s the event that starts the seven-year Tribulation? Daniel 9:27 prophesies the Antichrist will make a treaty with who? The people, meaning Israel. So, wait a second. That means the nation of Israel must come back on the scene for the Tribulation to start because the nation becomes a major key player in end time prophecies.

Israel also must build the Third Temple so that the Antichrist half-way into the Tribulation can enter the building and declare himself to be God. You can’t have an Antichrist making an agreement with Israel unless Israel is actually there. And, it’s not just that the Jews are back in the land, but that they are back in existence again as a nation.

Just turn on the TV and you’ll see what every U.S. President has been wanting to achieve. They’re driven to forge a peace treaty in the Middle East. Now, I’m certainly not saying Donald Trump is the Antichrist, but what we’re seeing is an ongoing process that’s lasted many decades now, roughly since 1967. Other than maybe China and Russia, every world leader has been screaming out, “We’ve got to make a peace treaty in the Middle East!”

One of these political peacniks is actually going to become the Antichrist. He’ll achieve that long-sought after peace treaty, which becomes the very prophesied event that starts Daniel’s Seventieth Week. Foreshadowings of that treaty are heard daily on the news.

How do we know we’re living in the last days? Turn on the news! Prophecies are being fulfilled all over the place.

That’s roughly about eight prophecies concerning Israel, and there are a whole ton more just concerning the Jewish people. Mathematically the odds are incredible!

What are the odds of just eight prophecies coming to pass in the life of just one man? In this case of Jesus fulfilling the prophecies concerning Messiah, they’ve been calculated by mathematician Peter Stoner. He calculated that the odds of just eight prophecies being fulfilled in the life of one man are 1 in 10 to the 17th power. That’d equate to covering the whole state of Texas two feet deep in silver dollars. Hop in a plane, fly randomly over the whole state, take one silver dollar, mark it with a red X, then just randomly throw it out of the window. Land the plane on the back edge of the state of Texas. Blindfold a guy, and order him to wander around the whole state of Texas. Then he must pick up only one of those silver dollars, and that one would be the lone dollar with the X marked on it. What are the odds this guys is ever going to find the marked coin? Virtually impossible! That’s the exact same mathematically odds of any one entity getting eight prophecies coming to pass in his life.

And, the odds of a dead nation coming back to life as Israel has done are even more impossible. And yet, we’re alive to actually witness it happening.

Fulfilled Bible prophecy exists to prove God is screaming out from the Bible, “I wrote this book! This word came from me. Therefore, you’ll want to pay attention to all of it. And most certainly, take it seriously when I say Jesus is the one and only way to get to Heaven. I’m telling you what will actually happen in the future. If you’re not saved, accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. If you’re a Christian, then get busy living for Him and sharing the Gospel, because today could be the very day He comes back.”

Dr. Reagan: God through Moses said He would scatter the Jewish people all over the world, which He did, because of their rebellion against Him. But, He also promised He would preserve a remnant, which He did. God promises that once the Jews were exiled, He would regather them, which He did. God promised He would re-establish their state, which He did. And yet, the majority viewpoint in Christianity today, both Catholic and Protestant, is that God has washed His hands of the Jewish people and has no purpose left for them. Claiming that all of these prophecies concerning Israel have been fulfilled are mere coincidences just boggles my mind.

Billy Crone: No, sorry, fulfilled Bible prophecy can never be a coincidence. I think what these skeptics are claiming is just sad. They’re not just disagreeing, they’re basically calling God a liar!

God has made eternal promises with the people of Israel. Some have come true, and others we’re still waiting for to come to pass. But, we can be assured they will come to pass, especially when Jesus comes back at the Second Coming at the end of the seven-year Tribulation to establish His Millennial Kingdom.

You can’t have your cake and eat it, too. Either God is a liar, which He is not, which is the Replacement Theology position, or in fact He’s not done with the Jewish people yet. How do you get around what the Apostle Paul taught in Romans 9-11. What does Paul say? He says the Jews are not under a permanent spiritual blindness, or a permanent hardness, but that it’s merely temporary until the Church Age is over. But, then bang! Daniel 9:27. God’s eyes move back on the Jewish people and He continues to fulfill the promises He’s made that still have yet to come to pass.

So, don’t call God a liar. God’s working a miracle through the Jewish people, confirmed by fulfilled Bible prophecy.

  • Very profound interview. As an American born Jew growing up in Philadelphia, I was delighted even though I was a young boy when the State of Israel was recognized. But I was not yet born again, not in a relationship with Jesus Christ. It was only then that I began to learn that the re-creation of the State of Israel was part of a much larger and far-reaching plan of Almighty God who seeks the redemption of all humanity, and will come again to govern the entire world in Spirit and Truth. In other words, my pleasure at the existence of Israel was ethnocentric originally, not Christ-centered. Israel’s existence is part of God’s deliverance of all humanity from the horrifying sin that grips the human condition. This interview reinforces that understanding, and I was honored and delighted to be on your mailing list and to receive this item. Thank you.

  • 1 Timothy 2:5

“For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,”

    Verse 6 ”
who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,”

So Jesus, and Jesus alone is our mediator, and not a mortal, sinful, man.

    Rom 3:23
“for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”

    Rom 3:12
“All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”

    Isaiah 53:6
“We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

    Isaiah 53:5
“But He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, And by His scourging we are healed.”

Rev 2:5 “Remember therefore from where you are fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto you quickly, and will remove your lampstand out of its place, except you repent.”

The Bible prophecies concerning Israel are a wake up call for ALL of us! Repent! Turn to God. Jesus is soon to return!

  • I just love Billy Crone, and have been blessed tremendously with his teachings! I have also been blessed with the Lamb and Lion Ministry and watch this program weekly. Thank you all for being watchmen on the wall!
