Tonight Matters: How We’re Reaching Out For Christ

MP3 PDF

What new initiatives is Lamb & Lion Ministries making in reaching out to the world for Christ?

On Wednesday, January 25th I was interviewed by hosts Matt Buff and Jim Fletcher of the Rapture Ready Radio show, broadcast over BlogTalkRadio. During the second hour of their two hour live show we talked about the growing interest in Bible prophecy, the importance of teaching the Creation, Lamb & Lion Ministries’ new ministry initiatives in reaching people for Christ, the top five questions every Christian should know, the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood, and how Christians should respond to non-Christian candidates when it comes time to vote. Matt Buff also simultaneously chatted online with people listening to the show, taking questions from the audience.

Rapture Ready Radio

Ministry Initiatives

Jim Fletcher: I think what we are seeing today, especially in our own country, is a slippage in people’s discernment, whether it’s people in the Church or it’s people in the political realm, or what have you. I think it’s because they lack a biblical worldview.

What are some of the things that Lamb & Lion is doing now to bring resources to people to combat this lack of biblical worldview? What are some of the initiatives that you are involved in?

Bible Prophecy Insights Videos

Nathan Jones: I am glad you asked, for just this last week we launched our newest initiative called Bible Prophecy Insights. They are one minute Bible prophecy video messages. What we do with these BPI videos is give you one minute covering a Bible prophecy fact with lots of computer animation (example below).

Because they’re high tech looking they attract a whole different audience than we usually address. So far we’ve developed three of them in the series. What we’re trying to do is reach people who don’t really think much about Bible prophecy. They’re not going to spend more than a minute or two looking at any video, so we hit them fast with a fact about Bible prophecy and then bring them back to our website at lamblion.com to give them further information.

To design these illustrations, we teamed up with a former Disney animator who just loves the Lord. He didn’t want to work in the secular world anymore. He just wants to help ministries, and he’s a fantastic computer animator.

We’ve posted these videos on YouTube, GodTube, DailyMotion, Vimeo and on our website and e-newsletters. By referrals we’re hoping they go viral. So, that’s our newest initiative and I welcome everyone to check them out at lamblion.com. They’re posted right from our homepage where it says “Bible Prophecy Insights.” We’ve just launched the first in the series, but more are coming soon.

Internet Evangelism

Another initiative, of course, is that everything I do is to reach out to the two billion plus people on the Internet with the Good News of Jesus Christ. That’s what my purpose at Lamb & Lion, to utilize every kind of social network and chat room, you name it, to try to get the Gospel out there.

Television

Lamb & Lion Ministries also has Christ in Prophecy, our television show now in its tenth year this year. We can reach almost every country in the world with it over five networks. This was was neat, I was in Israel once and was watching “Christ in Prophecy” in Israel. That was just too cool!

Publications

The ministry also produces lots of periodicals. Dr. Reagan has written ten or eleven books now. We have our Lamplighter magazine that goes out to the most interesting places. We get people all the time saying, “I was sitting in the doctor’s office and the doctor had it sitting there in the magazine rack and so I started reading it and, wow, I want to know the Lord.”

Prophecy Partners

The Lord has really blessed the ministry with a lot of opportunities and a lot of people who have come alongside us to help. We call them our Prophecy Partners and they support our ministry and encourage us and pray for us. Together we are a team who gets out there and shares the Gospel message.

The only thing we haven’t done in a long time, but that Dr. Reagan did for 20 years, is that we don’t broadcast on radio anymore. So, thank the Lord for Rapture Ready Radio!

Matt Buff: Nobody usually says to us, “Thank you!”

“Left Behind” Video

Matt Buff: Here’s a question from the chat room for you real quickly. What again was the name of that one minute video you were talking about?

Nathan Jones: “Bible Prophecy Insights.” Just go to our homepage at lamblion.com and the link is like the fifth item down. At this point you can see the first in the series.

What we tried to do with the first three videos is cover the three main parts of our ministries’ message. First, we established that Bible prophecy is accurate. The second aspect we covered is the signs of the times. And, the third one we covered is about the Rapture. The second and third video haven’t been released just yet, but they will be in the next month or two.

We’ve also made our own left behind message called, Jesus Came. What’s Next? It’s fifteen minutes long and it explains to those left behind after the Rapture just what happened. We’ve put that video all over the Internet and placed keywords with it so people who want to know, “What happened to all those people?” can look it up and receive the Gospel message.

Jesus Came. What’s Next? has even been effective, praise the Lord, with people before the Rapture. We had this one gentleman call in once. He was kind of upset and he said, “I’m the leader of a coven and my family has been in a coven for four generations. We finished a meeting and we went home to just kick back and watch a Harry Potter movie, and someone I don’t know who put that DVD “Jesus Came. What’s Next?” into my DVD player. “Who put that there?” he asked.

He starting relaying to me how he had never known love growing up and how there was just lots of the love of Jesus Christ shining through the video. It was a wild conversation as he was definitely fighting his demons. After a few calls back and forth our finance minister finally led him to the Lord. And, wow, what a change that guy experienced! He unfortunately had to run for his life because the rest of the coven was after him, but once he made it out he hasn’t stopped preaching about Jesus Christ. He experienced a total transformation of his life. It’s just so wonderful when you hear stories like this where the Lord uses what we do and amplifies it better than we could ever imagine.

Matt Buff: I saw the video that you’re talking about for those left behind. It was fantastic and something we might have to put on our site, because it’s really a good viewing video for people now who are still here and a great message that’s going to be for people who will be left behind. I really enjoyed that because it’s just an amazing video.

Nathan Jones: The credit is the Lord’s. Praise the Lord!

In the next part of this Rapture Ready Radio interview, Matt, Jim and I will discuss why teaching about the Creation and the Second Coming go hand-in-hand.

  • Hi,I think the following information is good in evangelism.

There is Richard Burridge’s 1992 book “What are the Gospels?”.It was revised and published again in 2OO4.

He is a classicist, not an NT scholar,at least not then, who being an expert on ancient literature set out to prove that the claims by Talbert and others that the four gospels as biographies as being false.

He believed they didn’t correspond to the biographical standards of Antiquity.

But to his surprise he came to the opposite conclusion after making an analysis of about 5 bios from before the gospels and 5 after them.

There are those who disagree with him but today most scholars agree the gospels are biographies, according to Michael Licona, that is to say the authors wrote believing they were writing history.

    About ancient bios and history

Then it was ok to do:

    1.Time-compession,also known as telescoping,of events.

2.To do paraphrasing as long as the real ideas of the person were given.

    ALSO

Did you know that Suetonius,Josephus and Tacitus wrote that the Jews of Judea in the 1st century believed the Messiah would come? Here are the citations:
