America’s Future: Hope or Despair?

Americas Destiny 1

America’s future looks very dim as the forces advocating moral depravity and contempt for God’s Word prepare to take over the White House and Congress.

We should expect an all-out effort to encourage the goals of the Sexual Perversion Movement, with its demands to legalize prostitution, polygamy, polyamory marriage and even pedophilia (with “consenting” children!).

Religious expression will become an obsessive target with the aim of forcing it into the closet — declaring that it is appropriate only within the walls of churches, synagogues and mosques. Efforts will be made to reinterpret the constitutional guarantee of “free exercise of religion” as meaning only the freedom of worship. Don’t be surprised at efforts to eliminate tax exemptions for churches and ministries (despite the Supreme Court’s ruling in 1819 that “the power to tax is the power to destroy”).

There will be a determined effort to eliminate all limitations on abortion. And there will be a goal of allowing infanticide up to a year after the birth of a child. Attempts will also be made to further the legalization of euthanasia.

Expect efforts to enact hate speech legislation that would outlaw any criticism of abortion, homosexuality and same-sex marriage. There will also be attempts to declare that the public proclamation of Jesus as the only way to Heaven constitutes hate speech.

And then there are the Socialists who are demanding a minimum income for everyone regardless of whether they want to work.

Regarding foreign policy, expect a lack of support for Israel and the revival of the emphasis that began with President George H. W. Bush on the creation of a One World Order. Consequently, we should anticipate America’s national interest to be subordinated to the demands of international organizations like the United Nations.

Expect a renewed effort to grant citizenship to all illegal aliens. Also, expect demands for reparations for Blacks and Homosexuals.

You are probably thinking, “Come on, David, this is too extreme.” Yes, it is too extreme in concept but not in reality. These are policy positions endorsed by various Democrats during the last Presidential campaign. And they are evidence of the fact that our nation has reached the last stage of destruction described in Romans 1:28 when God turns the nation over to a “depraved mind.”

David Reagan: Our nation has reached the last stage of destruction described in Romans 1:28 when God turns the nation over to a depraved mind. Click To Tweet

So, is there any hope for our nation? I do not believe so. We have rejected the Judeo-Christian principles this nation was based upon and which have made this nation great. We have forgotten God and His Word, and we are now determined to do as we please. We are operating in open rebellion against God. In the process, we are digging our own grave.

But there is hope for individuals who place their faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior. They will receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who will comfort them, guide them and give them the peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7). They will also become heirs of the promise that they will be included in the Rapture when Jesus appears in the heavens for His Church before the Great Tribulation begins.

And those of us who are believers need to keep in mind that God is in control. Read Psalm 2 and rejoice!

  • Ours Is The Terminal Generation
Peter, James, John, and Andrew upon hearing what they would face during their lifetime for His name’s sake asked the Lord Jesus, “What shall be the sign of thy coming?” (Mt. 24:3f). His answer included all that would take place prior to and including His “Second Coming” (Mt. 24:4-31; Mk. 13:5-8, 10, 12-27; Lk. 21:8-11, 25-28) and the signs to look for with the Parable of the Fig Tree and the Parable of All the Trees (Mt. 24:32; Mk. 13:28; Lk. 21:29-31).

“Now learn a parable of the fig tree: When its branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is [near] (Mt. 24:32; Mk. 13:28). Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now [near] at hand (Lk. 21:29b-30). So also ye, (Mt. 24:33a; Mk. 13:29a; Lk. 21:31a) in like manner (Mk. 13:29b), when ye (Mt. 24:33b; Mk. 13:29c; Lk. 21:31b) shall (Mt. 24:33c; Mk. 13:29d) see (Mt. 24:33d; Mk. 13:29e; Lk. 21:31c) all (Mt. 24:33e) these things (Mt. 24:33f; Mk. 13:29f; Lk. 21:31d) come to pass (Mk. 13:29f; Lk. 21:31e), know that it (Mt. 24:33g; Mk. 13:29g) the kingdom of God (Lk. 21:31f) is [near] (Mt. 24:33h; Mk. 13:29h; Lk. 21:31g) at hand (Lk. 21:31g), even at the doors (Mt. 24:33i; Mk. 13:29h). Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass (Mt. 24:34a; Mk. 13:30a; Lk. 21:32a) away (Lk. 21:32b), till all (Mt. 24:34b; Mk. 13:30b; Lk. 21:32c) these things (Mt. 24:34c; Mk. 13:30c) be fulfilled (Mt. 24:34d; Mk. 13:30d; Lk. 21:32d).”

The two signs that were to indicate His Second Coming was near would be the “rebirth” of the nation of Israel and the “return of her men” to the land of Israel! The fig tree is a symbol used in Scripture that refers to the nation of Israel. God, Himself, used figs as a symbol for Israel in a parable recorded in Jeremiah 24:1-2, 4-10. In a parable told by Jotham to the men of Shechem that is recorded in Judges 9:7-15, trees were used to symbolize the men of Israel who had gone forth to anoint a king. The disciples knew that fig trees leafed out in late spring, near the beginning of summer (Mt. 24:32; Mk. 13:28). Thus, when the “fig tree begins to bloom” [the nation of Israel reborn], they should know that summer [His Second Coming] is “near at hand” (Lk. 21:29-30). After more than 2,500 years Israel once again became a sovereign nation when she was reborn on May 14, 1948, fulfilling the first sign the Lord Jesus had given. The vast number of Jewish men [trees] who returned to their ancestral homeland fulfilled the second sign!

“This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be fulfilled,” declared the Lord Jesus. The generation that will witness His Second Coming began with the rebirth of the nation of Israel on May 14, 1948. Since we are now in the latter months of the year 2020, this must be a generation of eighty years (Ps. 90:10), which will end with the Second Coming on the Feast of a Day of Atonement [Yom Kippur] on 9/30/28. The prophetic significance of the Feast of Trumpets will be fulfilled with the Rapture on 9/9/21 (Jn. 4:35; Ti. 2:13). The 21 judgments of God that are described in Revelation 6:1-19:21 will be fulfilled from May 2023 to September 30, 2028! The Lord Jesus said we are now living in the beginning of sorrows (Mt. 24:4-8).

A complete explanation of all that is referred to in this missive and much more may be found on http://www.endtimewarnings.org. Hopefully, a reading of “A Biblical View of the Past, Present, & Future” will inform, edify, and encourage all who study its content. Maranatha!

    • This timeline would coincide with Tom Horns bk “Wormwood Prophecy” about asteroid now heading toward America’s SE border near San Diego and Mexico.

      • Do you mean America’s SW (South West) border? How do you know exactly where an asteroid will hit and when.

      • Who lives to be 120 anymore? Very, very few. Most people die around 80. Some sooner, some later.

    • I disagree with the end I believe Jesus will fulfill the feast of Trumpets at his return in 2028! Not the rapture! Because he did all 4 spring feasts in just a few months and the latter will be the same! But yes we are the final generation and I expect the tribulation to begin in Sept. 2021! AMEN! Maranatha!

    • Mr. Schoenle: Some of your observations are interesting and you obviously took care to support them. Not wanting to be unduly critical, but why you would think you can actually name dates such as Jesus’ return, which He himself said only the Father knows, much less the Rapture, which can occur at any time.

  • An excellent article. I agree with everything 100% – save for your position on the time of the catching away of the Church. The position I hold, and the one that I feel is supported by scripture, is that the Church will not escape the main portion of the time of Daniel’s 70th week (the time of Jacob’s trouble) including the persecution from anti-christ. The period of time the Church WILL escape is the wrath of God (Rev 3:10). Rev 6:12-17 affirms this. Seal 6 is the fulfillment of Joel 2, the signs are heralding the coming of Christ. “The day of wrath has come.”

  • We are instructed to keep doing The Lord’s Work until. His. Return. I believe that means to keep fighting while we watch for His return. Also while we are fighting we should.talk with a positive attitude.

  • What this peaceful demo today in Wash. DC means to accomplish is to stay the arm of God. The premise is that The Lord God in His Grace ‘gave’ us, literally brought to us, DJT to wake this nation up. He has done that. Can you see that he was and is the catalyst that brought the evil rats’ nest of Capitol Hill out in the open. 70% of people tied to Gov in the greater DC area are Satanists, someone said last week. A fight between GOOD and EVIL. Literally. I believe prayer, supplication, repentance and turning and stay the time for the sake of bringing many more to the Lord in the Rapture. (not because we want 4 more years of bliss). It is to bring in a greater harvest. And then or even while we do so, this relentless hatred will hit us with increased persecution. As they’ve worked against those the satanist Left hates most (We the People and our leader), he could still be our leader and continue this opposition for the nation’s sake, until the Lord calls it quits. Meaning we would enjoy him who loves us while we are being bitten and attacked by the Left whenever we are not in a strong group.

  • The Church in America must not despair, Christ’s Kingdom is not of this world. The early Church came to realize this at the cross too! We must continue to pray while here and keep preparing for Christ Returning for His Bride! The kingdoms of this world will all be shattered by the Corner Stone “Christ”!!!

  • Our nation has not opted for this perverted administration about to occupy the white house – we voted by a vast margin for Trump, but the election was stolen. The democrats are completely given over to a corrupt mind, but a majority of the nation is not. We’ll see what happens today.

  • I agree with the pretrib stance. The 7 years in Daniel 9 are for the Jewish nation to turn to God. Romans 11:25 And as for the situation in the USA, I can only take solice from Daniel 4. God rules in the affairs of men–and gives it to whom HE chooses. A little later it comments that He gives it to the lowest of men. I used to interpret that as base and debauched, but more study makes me think that it is to humble (lowly Matthew 6) men. But He is in complete control and is moving things along. Maybe our abandonment of Israel is preparatory to the attack on Jerusalem in Zech 12:2. All we can do is echo John in Rev 22: “Even so, come Lord Jesus.” Amen.

  • Would have to agree. Even our ‘supposedly” apolitical military is nothing more than a paper tiger, looks good on paper, but nothing inside. We are constantly being bombed with political correctness to the point that it is destroying the very fabric of structure.

  • Praise the Lord that exciting near is at hand. our today is get worse and worse the violence. ‘depraved mind’ in Romans 1:28, there are violence and rebellions too many choice their life will off their ways. they need to time to repentance before the Lord will call who are the Believers be with Jesus.
Keep Fightin while we watch and pray for His return any imminent.

  • Thank you for this article. The violence that we saw yesterday (January 6) was a dramatic example of the end times, and Psalm 112 is a good and encouraging word for us. We need to keep praying for those in government, especially Christians.

  • I have always admired David Reagan and his teachings and I do agree with his Pre-Trib beliefs. However, as a committed Bible- believing Christian, I seek the truth, not conspiracy theories, and I can’t believe that Dave thinks that Biden’s administration will approve of and legislate pedophilia! This suggests to me that Dave embraces the deplorable, debunked Pizzagate Q-Anon conspiracy theory and that disappoints me very much. I have been saddened lately by the unbelievable gullibility of Christians who have not only believed every word out of Trump’s mouth, but also every unverified rumor and craziness on the internet. Yes, I believe that abortion is murder and we need to pray for the Democrats’ blind spot in that and other areas, but I don’t believe the Evangelical rhetoric that Republicans are 100% good and Democrats are 100% evil. As an Independent, I see good and bad on both sides. Biden is a kind, caring, compassionate person who gets along with people. He is older so he should still retain some of the values of the older generations, and he will set a much better example for our children by trying to unite and not divide us and by not name- calling and disparaging others. Having said all that, I do agree with Dave that America has displeased the Lord with all her sins and that we are due for judgment.

    • Dr. Reagan isn’t into conspiracy theories. His point about the furthering societal legitimation of pedophilia is based on laws that are being changed in California.

  • One thing is now clear: America’s days are numbered, and so are the days of the Church Age. America’s demise is now inevitable; it will most likely happen this year. Therefore, the Rapture has to occur this year; otherwise, we will die, too,

  • We are nearing the end of the USA as we have known her! This should be obvious to anyone familiar with history and the fall of great world nations of the past. Alexander Tytler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh during the 18th century, has often been credited for saying: “A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.” Tytler and others are also credited for declaring the following: “The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence: 1. From bondage to spiritual faith; 2. From spiritual faith to great courage; 3. From courage to liberty; 4. From liberty to abundance; 5. From abundance to complacency; 6. From complacency to apathy; 7. From apathy to dependency; 8. And from dependency back into bondage.” A study of the rise and fall of great nations in the past appears to confirm it is so. Thus, it seems the USA has reached the seventh step of this sequence.
