I have become convinced that the coronavirus is a remedial judgment of God upon the whole world to call the people of all nations to repentance before the return of Jesus.
God in His mercy never pours out His wrath without warning. We know from the signs of the times revealed in biblical prophecy that we are on the threshold of the Tribulation. And we also know from the book of Revelation that the Tribulation will be a time when God will focus His unmitigated wrath on the rebellious nations of the world, including our own.
Bible prophecy tells us point blank that societies worldwide will become as evil as in the days of Noah, and that when this happens, we will know we are in the season of the Lord’s return. If you will read Genesis 6, you will see that the two fundamental characteristics of Noah’s society were violence and immorality. That is the world we live in today.
Worldwide, violence is overwhelming due to the terrorism that has infected all societies. And the degree of immorality has become mind-boggling. In our nation, which was founded on Judeo-Christian values, we find our leaders surrendering to the demands of the Sexual Perversion Movement. Our schools have become battlefields, and we are currently raising a whole generation of moral pygmies. Also, we continue to murder babies in their mother’s wombs.
The Bible says that when we reach this level of societal debauchery, people will ignore God’s prophetic voices and His remedial judgments (Matthew 24:36-39). Most people will simply go about their business as usual, ignoring the fact that God is warning of His impending wrath.
Let’s pray for people’s eyes to be opened and for their hearts to be impacted by their sins, motivating them to turn to God, to repent of their sins and to accept God’s Son, Jesus, as their Lord and Savior.
In the meantime, for those of us who know the Lord, the Holy Spirit is calling us to holiness and evangelism. We need to prepare ourselves and others for the imminent Rapture of the Church and the horrible period of the Tribulation that will follow.
And as we face the remedial judgments God is inflicting upon the earth, let us keep in mind the comforting words of Psalm 91:
1) He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2) I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust!”
3) For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence.
4) He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you may seek refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
5) You will not be afraid of the terror by night, or of the arrow that flies by day;
6) Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
7) A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not approach you.
8) You will only look on with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked.
9) For you have made the LORD, your refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place.
10) No evil will befall you, nor will any plague come near your tent.
11) For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.
Hallelujah!
Hello Dr. Reagan, from Washington State. Thinking of you and your sweet wife today, praying that you are able to rest in the LORD’s goodness in the midst of all this world unrest. We had a sweet visit with you at the Steeling Conference in CDA in February & look forward to visiting again in the future. Hallelujah and Maranatha, Come LORD Jesus!

My family and I have been paying a lot of attention to Psalm 91 recently. Verse 1 refers to the shadow of the Almighty. In my sermon series, I am addressing 1) living in the shadow of the Rock, 2) living in the shadow of His wings, 3) living in the shadow of His hand, and 4) living in he valley of the shadow of death. Regarding Point #1 — shadow of a rock… The Lord is referred to in many places as the “rock of our salvation.” (2 Sam 22:47, De 32:15, Ps. 89:26, Heb. 6:18) The firmness and relative stability of a rock stands out; yet typically a rock does not bear fruit. Yet, as we live in the shadow of the rock, we are to bring forth the fruit of the Spirit. Hmmmm. Our minds think of the Jewish hearers of this word. We think of Moses striking a rock in the wilderness and refreshing water came out. (Exodus 17:6) Yes, out of the Rock of our salvation comes Life and Spirit and Truth. Dwelling in the shadow of this Rock is thus not a dismal place of shadows, but a place of hope. Where our options appear dried up, where the Red Sea is in front and the armies of Hell are behind us, we can trust that our Savior will bring us through. There will be an unlikely, nay, an impossible, breakthrough. An impossible deliverance from an intractable problem, a resistance, an insoluble dilemma — even sickness and dismal failure — loneliness and hopelessness. In the midst of this between a rock and another rock is the bigger Rock that opens up so we might be refreshed. If we live in the shadow of this bigger Rock, then we are blessed as no other rock can bless. Complete frustration and blockage is broken asunder remarkably. Is this mysticism. Not at all. It is the simple reality of living minute by minute in Christ, getting stymied as we all do, and then the very situation or person that stymied us gives way to that which refreshes us. God bless you all.
Dr. Reagan: I pray this Psalm daily over my family, friends and our country. I believe the words are so powerful. Thank you, and stay well.
We so appreciate your prayers, Patty!
I agree that God is showing his mercy to the believers and unbelievers by allowing this disease to shake up all peoples in the USA as a notice of coming judgement upon those still here after the Body of Christ is taken up in the rapture (I Thess 4:13-18. ). Fear has shaken governments, Federal and State, and Cities. No government leaders are willing to confess the sins of baby killing abortion and gross immorality also endorsed, protected, and supported by our governments. Sports, entertainment, and pleasure are the false gods our people have chosen to love and worship, now are halted by an unseen Coronavirus.
I’ve only discovered your ministry in the last year and cant begin to tell you how much of a blessing you’ve been both to me and my family at the moment I m teaching through the signs of the times what treasures of truth we have for such a time as this thank you again (mark ryan)ireland
So glad to hear that we could be a blessing to you in Ireland, Mark!
I am convinced this pandemic is “discipline” from the LORD, mainly for HIS people to stop being spotted by the world and walking in “unbelief”. A call to repentance, like Jeremiah to Israel. Sadly, I am not seeing the repentance. I expect things to get worse. However, I have this hope… I can seek shelter under HIS wings because my trust is in the LORD alone. God watches over the faithful during trials and tribulations, like He did Joseph in Egypt, Daniel and the other three while in Babylonian and Medo-Persian captivity, like He did for many of His prophets. God is in control and my life is in His hands. If He wants me to stay to do His work, then I will stay. If He wants me to go home to be with Him, then I will go home. He is in control! “The righteous shall live by FAITH.” It is IMPOSSIBLE to please God without FAITH. There is a peace in my heart, psalm 91 sings to me, God is telling me and all His covenant people who are walking by FAITH “Do not fear because I am with you, Immanuel- God with us. ” Child of God, your heavenly Father is in control. You were bought with the precious blood of Jesus. Don’t forget who you are, who God transformed you to be by His grace. If you have become spotted by the world, repent and turn back to your good Father, your God, your LORD, your Creator! His mercy is greater than His wrath. Jesus blood is sufficient to forgive. Have FAITH, believe God and all He has said in His word. ALL of it! Return and God will relent with what He has planned against you because of your rebellion. Don’t run away from God, but run to Him. He loves you and wants what is best for you. Listen to His council in His word, it is for your good. May God Bless you, and keep you, and make His face to shine upon you, and give you HIS peace. May He have mercy and enlighten your heart, and grant you a true knowledge and understanding of our LORD Jesus Christ. AMEN
